Chet Zar - The Dark Art Life Nov 24, 2023

Show notes

My guest this week is the incredible artist Chet Zar! Chet is the real deal, friends. He's been a full-time artist since he was 15 years old. He started out in the movie biz f/x world, and has since moved on to be most influential player in the Dark Art world. He's one of those unique talents where it's hard to compare his work to anyone else's, and it's all just so wonderful! I'm such a fan of his work, that I was in a bit of shock in the first 20 min (I'm sure you'll be able to tell haha) but he was SO sweet and just a wonderful person to talk weirdness with. We get into his own paranormal experiences, his inspirations, what the occult means to him and just a ton more. I had such a ball chatting with him, and I hope you enjoy it too! PLEASE do yourself a favor and check out the beautiful documentary made about him called CHET ZAR on Tubi. Thanks everyone!

Also....consider listening to The Brian Jonestown Massacre's "Thank God For Mental Illness" album. It's actually too good, and might make other music suck for you, so be warned.

Creative Weirdos: A Very Twin Peaks Swapcast! Sep 27, 2023

Show notes

Gem of a human being Todd Purse, of the must listen to podcast, Creative Weirdos, was sweet enough to let me use a round table episode on his show about Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks is such a beautiful representation of the oddness of the paranormal experience, and us three Tweakies get into some of the nitty gritty of what the show means to us. Brilliant filmmaker, Chris Ernst, also joins us, and holy cow this dude is smart, and has wonderful taste in art and weirdness. This was a true joy! I hope you enjoy this, even if you're not a Twin Peaks nut like we are.

Ryan Gaul - My Maine man! Sep 22, 2023

Show notes

My old buddy, actor/comedian, Ryan Gaul is my guest this week! Ryan and I made our comedy bones together in Los Angeles doing improv and sketch, and quickly became super great friends. He's truly one of the funniest dudes I know, and....he loves all things weird. Double bonus. Ryan tells me some stories of growing up in Maine, and some of the weirdness that was floating around where he grew up. I also regale Ryan with a handful of Maine-centric tales of high strangeness which leads us further down the road of weirdness. I had a ball, and I hope you do too! Peace, my friends.
