Welcome to Episode 212!
What's up, Everybody? Dan here. I know I say this a lot, but we truly go all over the place on this episode. We've been gone for a minute so we wanted to give you a long one this time and we do. This episode clocks in at 3 hours long. We do take some time to finally talk about "Sinners" and we give our full review. But aside from that, get ready to pinball through this one in a good way. Here's some of what we're talking about this time:
Done reading? Then get to listening. We hope you enjoy this one and we'll be talking to you soon.
Peace!
🤘🏽✊🏾
Welcome to Episode 210!
We'd like to dedicate this episode of Heroes of Noise to one of our OG listeners.
Some of you may remember Mick Conroy, aka The Big MC from back in the early days of HON. He was a great guy, a contributer to the show, and we were sad to learn of his passing last week. We start the show off this week paying tribute to the man. R.I.P. Mick.
Here's a sneak peak at the rest of what we're talking about on this episode:
Enjoy!
✊🏾🤘🏽
Welcome to Episode 209!
It took a couple of extra weeks to return as Dan had a bad case of the flu but we're happy to be back in your ears again. In our attempt to do things differently for 2025 we once again livestreamed the show and this is what you're listening to. We hadn't announced we were doing so but we'll be sure to next time. We honestly didn't even know if was going to work as we're still figuring it all out. It does change the sound a bit, but truth be told like...2 of you will give a crap about that. The live audio (sound effects, etc) have some issues at times (Dan needs a new mixer) but we're still proud of this one because its the most "HON "show we've done in a while. We really hope you enjoy.
Here's what we're talking about this week:
Lastly, just because we talked about it here's a replay of Dan's " A Horror Story" he did back in 2020 for the "Geek Out/ Freak Out" after the outro in case youve never heard it.
We'll talk to you soon. Stay safe out there. Shit is CRAZY.
🤘🏽✊🏾
Happy New Year and welcome to Episode 208!
This is our first official episode since coming back on a regular basis, which as of now will be biweekly going forward. As you'll hear we're also playing with the aspects of video and will be doing more with that platform as we move through 2025. It's an experiment we want to try. However, experiments can have varying results and you may hear some of that today. For our first episode this year we decided to livestream. This time it was on our private Facebook group, the Heroes of Noise Podcast Community (which you should join if you haven't already), but we're planning to do this from the website eventually. Baby Steps..
This was the first time livestreaming for both of us so pardon the number of times you hear us referring to something that's actually visual (we'll figure it out once we get comfortable with this). Also this is a slightly edited version of our livestream as we had some problems with echoing on Steve's side which has been corrected for the most part. There were also a few moments cut that just didn't work well in the audio version; Basically it's tweaked just enough to hit your ears correctly. Again, just a learning curve when livestreaming.
Ok. You get it. It's not perfect. Let's move on. Here's just a "smidge" of what you'll hear on this episode:
We hope you enjoy our latest episode and we look forward to being back in your ears very soon. It's a new year, a new time, and we're ready to do this. Until then...Be cool. This year is going to be insane. Pace yourselves.
🤘🏽✊🏾

Hey everyone! Dan here.
Ya boys are back with a quick pop in to drop a little news on you. This one will sound a little different because I'm an idiot and can't work my own equipment after 7 months of not recording, but at least Steve had his shit together. 😂 But don't fret because the message we have for you is still there. This one was never intended to be a full episode. It's more of an announcement. You just have to wait until the end to get there as we are literally catching up with each other after quite some time.
So that's it. Just listen. We hope you all have happy holidays!
🤘🏽✊🏾
Welcome to Episode 207!
It’s been 6 months since we last fired up the HON machine. We’ll call this a full episode, but you can think of this one as more of a check-in; A sort’ve warm up, if you will. This one is for you to have in your ears so you can feel like you’re in the room with us just shooting the shit like the old days. You won’t get any reviews on this episode (real ones anyway). This will be more like when Grandpa used to get his badass classic car and take it out for a drive on Sunday. Basically we’re just burning some carbon off.
We both have been itching to get back on mic, but to play it safe we’ll take these next episodes one at a time for now. But yes, there will be more.Ya boys haven’t actually had a full conversation in quite some time. For almost the entirety of this year, if we’re being honest. So it was nice catching up again.
Here’s some of what we get into on this one:
Steve liked Abigail
R.I.P. Baxter, Hello Penny
Bougie Dog Food
Dan’s father of the year moment
Pellet v wood
Steve’s current “Status”
You’ve gotta moisturize
We get dark for a minute
Steve comes through with an unexpected quiz
How many porn stars can you name?
Dan isn’t about “Anyone But You”
What we need to catch up on at the theaters
Finally we end on some Fantastic 4 talk and some upcoming shows Dan will be seeing.
That’s it for this time around. We’re glad to be in your ears again and plan on doing this Ian real soon.
Until then, Friends..
🤘🏽✊🏾
Yo! Dan Here.
Welcome to Episode 206!
This episode was supposed to be out a week ago. But audio issues made this one almost unlistenable so a little time and TLC brought it back from the dead. Full disclosure I was just too damn busy last week to get this out on time so pardon the tardiness.
Now... come with us into the past as we take you back over a weeeekkkk
(Spooky fingers and ghost voice really help with that last part).
Here's what we're talking about time around:
Extremely Quick Fim / TV Thoughts:
The Main Event - Our Top 10 Hits From 1983
We jope you enjoy this episode and we'll be back at some point soon. We wish you all a happy Thanksgiving (if it applies). Talk to you soon!
Peace!
🤘🏽✊🏾
We had to come back with our review of Barbie being that his movie is absolutely crushing at the box office(As of this date the movie has made a Billion dollars at the Box Office taking only seventeen days to do it. Dan originally talked a lot of crap on this movie (it's not as bad as it reads). Does he feel the same after seeing it?
All this and...well, pretty much all this awaits you on this special bonus episode of Heroes of Noise. Enjoy!
🤘🏽✊🏾
Welcome to Episode 205!
We had to get back into your ears before the summer was out. Hope everyone has been enjoying themselves. This episode is about as HON as you can get: Loose with lots of laughs.
Here's what we're talking about on this episode:
The show then takes a hard right turn and we get on to the subject of our favorite duets of all time. This takes up literally half the show but we had fun doing it.
After that it's a lightning round of catch up before we close it out.
Make no mistake, People. We miss the Hell out of you. We're just living some busy lives these days. We'll be back as soon as we can. SPOILER - We'll be dropping a bonus episode with our review of Barbie immediately after this one publishes. Enjoy!
Peace! Talk to you soon.
🤘🏽✊🏾
Welcome to Episode 204!
After a 3 month break we're back and absolutely thrilled to be in your ears again. This time around we kept it loose as we dusted off our podcasting equipment and got back into the swing of things. We had a great time doing it this way and went all over the place in that HON way.
Heres a few of the things we talked about on this one:
* At this point we experienced some technical difficulties and Frankenstein patch ourselves back into the show
That's the lowdown on Episode 204. We're so glad to be back and promise to bring you more HON in the very near future. We'll talk to you soon.
Peace

We had to put this one into the main feed for obvious reasons. If you want to kow what we're getting at just skip to 23:00. If there was ever a time we needed you to hear what we're saying, that time is now.
This episode deals directly with the future of HON. All hands on deck.
Welcome to Episode 203!
After a 3 week break we're back and ready to do the HON thing. This week we have 2 reviews for you. FIrst up is Spoiler Alert (now streaming on Peacock). We had so much to say about this one. Next up we talk about Peyton Reed's Ant-MAn and the Wasp Quantumania. What did we think of the newest MCU submission? Rest assured that we definitely give our honest opinions. That' s putting it lightly. Of course there's more and the show breakdown looks a little something like this:
We really don't want to take a long break between shows again but for now we're playing it by ear. We can tell you that we'll be back soon and we hope it's much sooner than later.
Until then, Friends...
🤘🏽✊🏾
Welcome to Episode 202
This week we have some reviews for you. Before we get into that just know that we recorded this last Monday and the Oscar nominations hadn't been announced yet. We don't get into it much but it does come up. Here's the breakdown of this week's show:
That's the show for this week. We hope you enjoy it. As always, thanks for being the ears that continue to listen to us. We love you for it. No, really.

Seasons Greetings, and welcome to Episode 200!
We tried SO many times to get this episode recorded but for whatever reason, we failed to make it happen. That is until now...
On this episode we're joined by several of our longtime friends and listeners who dropped in to celebrate EP 200 with us. Sit back and listen as we're joined by Melissa Sloter, Paul Hart, Adam Templeman, Daniel Dominguez, Nana Pratt, Stephen Samara-Wickrama, and Spoiler Steve. It's a catch up among friends and we talk about whatever pops up. We hope you enjoy this special episode and we also want to thank you for your years of support. We wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for you. Here's to another 200!

Welcome to Episode 199!
This week we devote our entire show to Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever". We've both seen it twice now and we coudnt wait to turn on the mics and let you know what we thought of the newest edition to the MCU. We give our likes and dislikes, speculate the future of the characters, and just all around give appreciation to the movie that shouldn't have happened but stull managed to find it's way into the hearts of millions of MCU fans. We'll keep the notes short this week so you can get to the good stuff. Enjoy!
"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" Synopsis:
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M'Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa's death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.

Happy Halloween and welcome to Episode 198: Geek Out / Freak Out V
This one was starting off to be a bigger show but 34 minutes into "recording" we noticed that we weren't actually recording at all. So consequently we had to start all over again. This episode will be a little shorter than our previous GOFO episodes for that reason and on top of that Dan was not feeling well.
However, that did not stop us from bringing the fun. Here's what we get into on this episode:
We hope you enjoy this compact Geek Out / Freak Out episode. It wasn't the show we wanted to bring you but we still had fun and hopefully you will too. Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Welcome to a bonus episode of Heroes of Noise. This is another peak at what we're doing over on Patreon. For Episode 48 we're joined by our friend Chris Lowe of the band Volk. This episode starts off with a "cold open" as we're mid conversation when the intro ends. It was originally going to be a straight up review podcast but it sort've went off the rails from the very beginning. Musicians gonna musician, folks. Once we do get on track we have reviews for "Grimcutty" on Hulu, "Dashcam" also on Hulu, and we cap things off with our review of Black Adam (now in theaters) and our quick thoughts on the "House of the Dragon" finale. Be sure to catch Chris on tour with Volk in November and check out their website: https://www.livevolk.com for everything Volk. For more HON content check us out on Patreon
On this special bonus episode of Heroes of Noise we're joined by returning guests and friends of the show Ben Rock and Bob DeRosa.
Ben and Bob were kind enough to take the time to talk with us about their brand new Audible story "Catchers". We spend time talking about the ins and outs of their recording process, production during Covid, their amazing cast and much more.
We want to thank Ben and Bob for stopping by and wish them success with this captivating story that will have listeners on the edge of their seats.
You can purchase and download "Catchers" right now by clicking here.
"Catchers":
In Buck Lake, Colorado, the resident dog catcher, Collins, is on the verge of retirement. But something strange lurks in the woods, about to ruin his plans....
After 30 years, Collins is ready to be done with small-town animal control. His replacement, Blair, is a Gen Z vet student who hates mansplaining; they don’t get along. But on the eve of his retirement, Collins gets a call that changes everything.
There’s been a report of a vicious wild dog on the loose. Collins and Blair head to a remote family farm to check it out. But instead of finding one wayward mutt, they’re attacked by an entire pack of bloodthirsty creatures. Are they animals? Aliens? Or something more sinister?
Collins and Blair have never seen eye to eye, but they’ll have to learn to work together if they want to survive the night. The future of Buck Lake depends on it.
Catchers is a small-town horror tale with all the charm of a classic ‘80s creature-feature, updated for the modern era. Billy Gardell (Bob Hearts Abishola) stars as Collins alongside Herizen Guardiola (American Gods) as Blair.
With hair-raising twists and a diverse cast of characters, Catchers has something to send shivers down every horror lover’s spine.

Welcome to Episode 196
We have a fun show for you today. At least we think we do because we were feeling great when the mics turned on. It's October and we're always in a good mood during the spookiest time of the year. It means we get to talk more Horror than usual and that's always a plus for us. Here's what we get into on this episode:
It may seem like we're not talking about a lot from the notes but we definitely spend some time on these segments. We hope you enjoy it.
So that's the show this week. We'll be back before you know it talking about all the spooky stuff and whatnot. Until next time, KIds. Be cool.

Welcome to a bonus episode of Heroes of Noise
As stated on the last episode, we want to fill our biweekly gaps by releasing some content that some of you haven't heard before. That comes in the form of older Patreon episodes. This does two things: It gives you some content to tide you overfor the week and also lets you know what we're doing over at Patreon. We will be releasing these episodes from time to time going forward. If you like what you hear please consider joining us on Patreon.
Here's what we're talking about on Episode 28:
Please enjoy Patreon Episode 28 - The Butthole Room
As always thanks for your continued support. We'll be back soon and FYI we're working on some ideas for upcoming shows. More on this later.

Welcome to Episode 194
It's been a few weeks since we dropped a new episode and we're glad to be back. Last weekend a special thing happened and we chose to devote this episode to it. We're referring to the "Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert" that took place at Wembley Stadium and streamed live on Paramount+. It was an emotional concert to say the least with so many performers paying tribute to one of the greats.
If you weren't aware you can still catch this monumental concert as well as an abridged version on Paramount+. We highly recommended that you do so.
We'll be back soon with another episode on our regular feed and patrons can expect a brand new exclusive episode in a few days.
Enjoy the show.

Welcome to a bonus episode of Heroes of Noise.
We've been putting more effort into our Patreon channel lately and we'd love for you to join in on the fun. This was originally a Patreon exclusive episode, but we wanted to let people have a listen to just some of what we're doing over there.
This episode was recorded August 13, 2022 and we're joined by friends and patrons Johnny Bucks, Rebekah Dahling, Favaun, Shawn Vernon, and Kevin McKnight and we play a few rounds of "Stuck in the Middle" with the group. Plus HON's resident gamemaster comes up with another great game called "Band Smasher". Thanks to everyone that joined us. Enjoy the show!

This week we have reviews for Jordan Peele's "Nope" (now in theaters) as well Dan Trachtenberg's "Prey", the prequel to "Predator" (now streaming on Hulu). But before we get to all of that, here's what we're talking about on this episode. Also, pardon the audio clipping on Dan's side. Should be worked out next time you hear us.
Ok, so like we were saying, here's the rundown:
That's pretty much how it breaks down. FYI if you didn't already know, HON is switching to a biweekly format for the foreseeable future. But if you find yourself wanting more HON in your life you can subscribe to our Patreon page. We'll be putting more effort into putting out more frequent Patreon episodes effective immediately. We're happy to be back in your ears and this is what we're talking about this week:
Reviews:
We'lll be back with Episode 193 very soon. Patreon patrons can look out for new episodes as well. Our first for June will be a retrospective episode where we review 1983's 'Terms of Endearment'. Can 2 men watch this movie without being moved to tears? We'll see. TBH it's probably doubtful that we can.

Welcome back! We're so excited to bring this bonus episode to you. This is literally the most fun we've had doing an "interview". Why the quotation marks? It's because it didn't feel like an interview to us. This was like chatting with an old friend once we got going. As a bonus, our good friend Johnny Bucks from "Ooh! Electric Shock!" podcast joins the conversation. It was good times, people. That's what we're trying to convey to you.
So who are we talking about exactly? That would be Preshas Jenkins, veteran stuntman with credits that include "Straight Outta Compton", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Transformers", and a little independent project known as the "Marvel Cinematic Universe", perhaps you've heard of it. His work in the MCU includes "Captain America: Civil War", "Avengers: Infinity War / Endgame", "Black Panther" as well as the upcoming sequel "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever". Dan happened to meet him by chance one day and once they got to talking, it was a no-brainer that we had to have Preshas join us for a chat and believe us when we say he didn't disappoint.
We want to thank Preshas for joining us this week and we truly think that you'll enjoy yourselves listening to this one. If you could do us a solid and please share the crap out of this for us on social media, etc we'd really appreciate it. It's not so much about numbers for HON as it is getting this into people's ears who might not hear it otherwise. When we have special guests we really try to make that happen since they were good enough to give us some of their time. Ok that's enough business for now. It's time to press "play" and listen to our interview with the coolest cat ever. Enjoy! 🤘🏽✊🏾

Welcome to Episode 189
Like the song says, it's been a while. Biyt after a month off we're back and ready to entertain you. However before we get into any reviews here's what we discuss:
We also have listener mail from Johnny Bucks and longtime listener Shannon
As far as reviews go:
Quick Reviews from Dan:
That's pretty much the show this week. But be on the lookout for a bonus episode that will drop into your feeds on Friday 5/27. On this episode we chat with MCU Stuntman Preshas Jenkins. We had a great time talking with him and we think you'll enjoy listening. This episode is already out on Patreon. Speaking of that...

Welcome to Episode 187!
Please forgive the tardiness on this one. It was a busy week for Dan and due to a couple of start / stops while recording, this episode needed some slight editing.
* No content was edited other than taking out a few long pauses. Now then...

Welcome to Episode 186
It's been a week when it comes to news, but two stories really stood out. They were of course Will Smith attacking Chris Rock at the Oscars and the tragic death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. That said, we decided to make this episode exclusively about these particular news stories.

Welcome to Episode 185
This week we decided do a non-review episode so we just turned on the mics and let it rip. Sometimes good things happen when we go off the cuff and this week it worked in our favor (at least we thought so).
Because we just decided to riff, Gamemaster Hudson introduces a brand new game called "City or Silly" (Working Title). We also ended up bringing back a listener favorite and played a few rounds of "Stuck In The Middle"; the game where we take the songs you think you know well and scramble your brain by sometimes proving that you really dont.
This is a shorter episode but we thick you'll like it. Let us know what you think of the games this week as we are very much considering fleshing out SITM and possibly making it a video game show where we get our listeners involved.
We'll be back soon with Episode 186. Have a great week.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 184
This week we start out feeling the weight of life and aging is on our minds. But that all goes away in an instant as we introduce ourselves to Captain Canberra (aka Terry Wrist) and his 2014 musical gem entitled "F*ck You All". We talk a little about the Pete Davidson and Ye feud and the recent shots fired online by Pete. Plus Willliam Hurt has passed, HON Craft Corner, and more.
We spend the most time talking about the new Ryan Reynolds movie 'The Adam Project' (Now on Netflix). But before we get to that we spend some time quickly reviewing everything else we watched this week, and they are as follows:
To hear more of what Dan expand upon his solo reviews this week, listen to his guest appearance on Episode 416 of Pop Culture Leftovers.
That's the show this week. We'll back soon with Episode 185. Until then...

Welcome to Episode 183
This week we have several reviews for you. Some of them are on the shorter side, but we wanted to leave some room on the back end to talk about a little independent movie that came out last week called 'The Batman'. As usual before we get to the reviews we gotta get some stupid out and there's plenty of it on this one. Here's some of what's to come:
In Noise News:

That's the show for this week. We hope you enjoy it and if you do, please leave us a podcast review on iTunes or at www.heroesofnoise.com. We'd really appreciate it. We'll be back with Episode 184 very soon.

Welcome to Episode 180.
This one was recorded a couple of days ago. But due to Omicron knocking out Dan's whole department at work (except Dan), he's been very busy this week. It's also why we have a shorter show for you this week. But don't fret, you get all of our regular absurdity in this compact episode.
Here's what we're talking about before getting to our review:
We then get into the review and this week we're talking about Ridley Scott's "The Last Duel" which premiered in theaters last year and just dropped on HBO Max. This movie stars Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer, and Ben Affleck.
That's the show in a nutshell. We'll be back soon with the Noisey Awards 3 where we give praise to our favorite things from 2021 (believe it or not, we actually found some things). Until then, stay out of trouble and keep your noses clean. We'll talk to you soon.
Peace!

Welcome go Episode 177
* This episode was actually recorded on Dec 16th. Due to some serious audio lag it required a little editing to get the conversation to line up (lots of talking over each other). It's mostly fixed but you may hear a little of that on this one. That combined with a busy work week bring us to this somewhat tardy episode. OK let's move on...
This week we start things off with Steve "car casting" while he's driving home. In fact you get 3 different versions of Steve's audio recordings...(Car, Phone, and Studio - see above 🤨) .
Before we get into our reviews for the week we cover a few topics including:
Reviews include:
(Both of these films can be found on Netflix)
We'll let you get to the listening and hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas. Look out for our Christmas episode on Patreon as well as our appearance on Episode 40 of our good friend Johnny Bucks' podcast Ooh! Electric Shock. Be sure to subscribe to their excellent podcast.
Talk to you soon!

Welcome to Episode 176
This week, outside of a little unrelated banter at the top of the show we're dedicating our time to The Beatles: Get Back (now streaming on Disney+). We're also joined by Quinton Roberts of the Reel Zodiac podcast. It wouldn't have been appropriate for us to not include Quinton on this one as he's the biggest Beatles fan we know.
We'll be honest that if you're not into the Beatles then this episode may not be for you. But this is a Peter Jackson film we're talking about here and there's a lot to be appreciated. Listen in as we talk about our favorite highlights and why this film is such an important piece of work.
We'll go ahead and put in a very rare (for us anyway) time stamp so that if you just want to hear the review you can.
The review begins at 00:53:38:15
We want to thank Quinton for joining us this week. It's always a pleasure when he does. Be sure to subscribe to The Reel Zodiac podcast any where podcasts are heard.

We'll be back next week with Episode 177. Have a great week.

Reviews:
Being that this episode came out late, you'll be hearing from us sooner than later. We hope everyone is well and is handling the holiday stress ok. It's crazy as shit out there. Be kind to your minds. Talk to you soon.

Welcome to Episode 174
This week we're joined by Chris Lowe from Cow Punk legends in the making, Volk. We've been wanting to talk with Chris for quite some time now and were glad we finally got to as Chris is not only a true talent, but also a man with a lot on his mind. Also, we LOVE talking music as you already know.
We spend some time talking about the history of Volk, the goings-on in the world , and life on and off the road. We then get to some reviews and this week we're talking about the latest MCU release "Eternals", now in theaters. Next up is the Netflix original "The Harder They Fall", starring Idris Elba , Regina King, Delroy Lindo, LaKeith Stanfield, Jonathan Majors, and more. Finally we get into a discussion about Denis Viilanueve's Dune, now in theaters and on HBO Max.
Chris had to stick to a certain time limit with us on the day we recorded, as he's a busy man about to leave for a tour. But we look forward to having him back on ASAP as we enjoyed talking with him so much. We're looking forward to catching Volk in Fresno next month on December 2nd and hope to see some of you there. You can see all dates for the upcoming tour by clicking here .
Pick up a copy of Volk's latest album "Cashville" and check out livevolk.com to stay current on everything the band's up to.
We'll be back later this week with Episode 175 as well as a new Patreon episode. Until then, friends...
Peace!

Greetings, Foolish Mortals....
Welcome to Episode 173: Geek Out / Freak Out 4. It's one of favorite shows to record every year and we always try to do something different. For 2021, not only do we bring you reviews of Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" (1981) and John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1982, Dan also gives a spoiler free review of 2021's "Antlers", now playing in theaters.
But that's not all. In addition to our reviews we also play a couple quick Halloween themed games and cap things off with something you've never heard us do. We won't get into it, here but we will tell you that we couldn't have down it without our friend Jeffrey Range. Special thanks to Jeffrey for stepping up and helping us with the last segment of the podcast. We can't thank him enough.
Well, Boils and Ghouls... Press "play" if you dare... And prepare yourself for this year's "Geek Out / Freak Out". We take no responsibility to any possessions or poltergeists that me come along with this recording. You've been warned...
HON would like to wish each and every one of you a safe and happy Halloween. We'll talk to you soon.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 172
As we continue with our "Thrillers, Chillers, and Killers" run for the month of October, we had the opportunity to sit down with someone that covers all the bases. This week filmmaker Brandon Christensen, writer and director of 'Superhost', 'Z', and "Still/Born' joins us for a chat. We had a blast talking with Brandon about the making of 'Superhost' (If you didn't see above, there are MAJOR SPOILERS in this episode. You'll definitely want to make sure you've seen it prior to listening to this because we assure you we spoil the hell out of it. That also goes for 'Z' to some degree. We also spend some time talking about Brandon's career, his work with Blitz//Berlin, family life, future projects, Kevin Smith, and we even manage to get a couple of dick jokes in (blame Dan).
We want to thank Brandon for joining us and wish him nothing but success in his already bright and successful career.
Follow Brandon on social media:

Be sure to check out all of Brandon's past and present work. It's fantastic.
We'll be back next week with our Halloween Special "Geek Out / Freak Out 4". Until then keep the Halloween spirit alive and sit yourself down in front of something scary. Family doesn't count.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 171
This week we keep the opening banter short and get to what we've been watching over the past week a little quicker. This week it's all about thrillers and killers. Dan gives 2 quick reviews for movies Steve hasn't seen yet. The first being the Netflix original "There's Someone Inside Your House", and the second being the Amazon Prime Video original "The Voyeurs".
When we get into what we've both seen, we start off with the Shudder original "Superhost". We follow that one up with "V/H/S/94", another original from Shudder. We cap things off with our review of the recently released "Halloween Kills", the follow up to 2018's "Halloween". Did it live up to the hype? Listen in to find out what we thought.
That's pretty much how this episode all plays out. We hope you enjoy. We'll be back with more Thrillers, Chillers, and Killers next week. Until then, keep it spooky.

Welcome to Episode 170
This week Dan is back on his bullshit with his 3d printer and talks about his recent creations, We've both been stood up by Steve's son as he decided to take his new girlfriend to Halloween Horror Nights instead of come with us. We also continue our discussion about plans to go to HHN ourselves. Dan gives Steve the business about his Tik Tok account and talks him into an impromptu game of "Stuck In The Middle", the game where lyrics are randomly grabbed from an odd spot of a song verse and the player has to try to figure out what song it is. It's not that easy, trust us.
We then discuss the future of the MCU and wonder who will be the true leader of phase 4. This brings us to a quick discussion about the upcoming Marvel film 'The Eternals", which leads us into a discussion about the cast, which then leads us to a 20 year old news story involving the creepy siblings Jolie and that night at the Oscars where they were attached at the lips.
We follow it all up with some reviews:
Dan gives some quick thoughts on "Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings" and wonders why Steve still hasn't seen it. We then discuss and review the Netflix smash hit "Squid Games". Lastly we discuss a very much anticipated movie that we've both been waiting to see, "The Many Saints of Newark", the sequel to HBO's "The Sopranos". Did we like it? Did it serve it's purpose? Listen to find out.
With that, we'll see our way out and let you catch up with what we've been up to on Episode 170. Enjoy! Patreon patrons can expect a new episode coming very soon (We promise).
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 169!
Last episode was a bit of a false start, as we thought we were back in business. Unfortunately Dan got pretty sick and had to take a couple more weeks off. But he's back, he's better, and ready to do what HON does, which brings us to the next paragraph.
Here's some of what we're talking about on this episode:
Here's what we've watched and or listened to this week:
Thanks to Volk for letting us play their tunes. Be sure to check them check out on tour this fall. Visit https://www.livevolk.com for more information, and all things Volk.

Welcome to Episode 168!
After a month-long absence HON is back. This week we do some necessary catching up as we haven't really spoken much over our hiatus. Here's a bit of what we're talking about in this one:
We don't do any full on reviews on this one, but we do talk about some of the things we've seen while we were away They include:
We'll keep the notes short and sweet, and just say we're glad to be back and don't plan on any long hiatuses in the near future. Thanks for sticking with us. Talk to you soon.
Peace!
Welcome to Episode 167
This week we start off talking about music pretty much from the get go. We discuss recording "artist" DaBaby. It's mostly us making fun of his name, but this leads us into one of our "Old Men on New Music" discussions.
Also on the show, Dan comes to the realization that "Satanic stuff is awesome", singer Aaron Lewis has a new song with an old agenda and we're not having it, There are definitely cooler ways way to die, Tales from the Muay Thai Kid, and more.
In Noise News:
We wrap things up with a review of the Netflix Original "Blood Red Sky", and the new M. Night Shayamalan film "Old" (now playing in theaters).
* Both reviews contain spoilers
We'll be back soon with Episode 168. Be sure to check out our Patreon page where we just uploaded an episode where we discuss and review the HBOMax documentary "Woodstock 99: Peace, Love and Rage".
Talk to you soon. Peace!

Welcome to Episode 166!
This week we're not alone as longtime friend of the show Quinton Roberts of The Reel Zodiac podcast joins us to catch up, laugh, and review some content. It's always a pleasure having Quinton with us and this time was no exception.
First up Dan gives a short review of Kevin Smith's 'Masters of the Universe: Revelation' (Now on Netflix). He keeps it pretty vague as he's the only one who's seen it. This also applies to 'Ted Lasso' S2E01 (AppleTV+).
*At the time of this recording, both shows had only been out for a few hours so neither Steve or Quinton had gotten a chance to watch them yet.
We then get into a discussion about the new Foo Fighters / Dee Gees EP that recently dropped. Dan and Quinton share their thoughts on the new material and as well as the classic Bee Gees covers.
When we finally get into talking about what we've all seen the previous week, we start off with 'Pig', starring Nicholas Cage (Now in Theaters and on VOD). We follow that up with a discussion about the recently released 'The Forever Purge', (also in theaters and on VOD). Finally we wrap things up with a short review of 'McCartney 3,2,1' (Now streaming on Hulu).
As usual, there's a lot more buried in the show and we'll just let you get to on you own. We had a great time and we think you will to. We'll be back later this week with Episode 167 as well as another Patreon episode where we'll be discussing the A24 film 'Zola'.
That's all for now. Talk to you soon. Peace!

Welcome to Episode 165
In our continued scramble for a normalized recording schedule, we waited until Sunday to record this episode. We both needed to see "Black Widow" and couldn't let the episode happen without talking about it.
This week we not only have a "Black Widow" review for you but we also discuss the 2021 reboot "Wrong Turn", directed by Mike P. Nelson.
We'll keep the notes short this time and let you get to listening. We'll be back later this week with another episode.
If you're wanting more HON in your life, we just put out 2 Patreon exclusive episodes so be sure to check us out over there as well. More info below.
Have a good week. We'll talk to you soon.

Welcome to a snack-sized episode of HON
Episode 163 clocks in at just over an hour, but we think it feels like a good 90 minutes. Quality over quantity, ya know?
Before we get into what we've watched over the past week, a few subjects are discussed. Some of them include:
As far as the reviews go:
That brings us to the end of another Episode, but fret not, faithful listener. HON will be back later this week with Patreon episodes 27 and 28, as well as Episode 164 on our main feed. we got you. Talk to you soon!

Yo! Dan here. Welcome to a special bonus episode of Heroes of Noise.
On this episode I, along with Brian from Pop Culture Leftovers and Brooke Daugherty from The Picardcast sit down with Paris Themmen, better known as Mike Teavee from #WillyWonkaandtheChocolateFactory. We talk about all things Wonka, including the 50th anniversary release of the film on 4K Ultra Blu-ray and Digital.
* This is actually a PCL episode, but Brian is a good guy and allowed me to publish the interview on the HON feed for our listeners.
It was an absolute pleasure talking with Paris, and if I'm being honest, it was a dream come true as well. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a movie that has a special place in my heart. Thanks again to Brian for asking me to join him to talk with Paris. It made my year.
So without further ado, please enjoy the Paris Themmen interview. Talk to you soon.

Welcome to Episode 162
This week ya boys spend a lot of time catching up with each other as we felt it was needed. We spend the first hour talking about an assortment of subjects before getting to the reviews. Here's a bit of what we're talking about:
Because we spend so much time talking about non -review subjects on this episode, it will be one of the only times that we leave time stamps for the reviews. We get it. We're tardy, and you've got shit to do. So here you go:
Reviews
Dave - 01:02:07 ( FYI - Dan accidentally says "episode" instead of "season" several times)
Awake - 01:12:38
Alone - 01:20:15
That's the show, ladies and gents. We hope you enjoy it and look out for Episode 163 coming your way very soon.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 160 This one starts out on an interesting note as Steve and Dan discuss a future Alanis Morissette concert date. We'll leave it at that and let you listen. But yes, the frustration in Dan's voice is real. This wasn't for entertainment purposes, we assure you. What are your thoughts on the matter? Be sure to let us know. It always makes for great podcasting if you shoot us some voicemails. Speaking of voicemail, we play one from our friend Paul Hart who just wanted to say 'Hi". The other minutia includes:

Welcome to Episode 159.
After a week off we're back with a little bit of a shorter show. Unfortunately Steve was pressed for time this week so we pretty much try to get everything that we watched this week into the conversation right from jump. What you're getting this week is a bunch of quick reviews. We just wanted you to know what we watched and if we think they're worth your time.
Movies / TV Shows mentioned in the podcast include:
"The Unholy" (VOD / in Theaters), "Spiral" (In Theaters), "Snowfall" (Hulu/FX), "Mare of Easttown" (HBO Max), "Marvel's M.O.D.O.K." (Hulu), "1971- The Year that Music Changed Everything" (AppleTV+), and "Mythic Quest S2" (AppleTV+).
Dan also gives some time to Seth Rogen's recent book release entitled "Yearbook".
Lastly we briefly mention the new teaser trailer for Marvel's "Eternals", but spend more time pondering the question: What the hell is happening to Kumail Nanjiani.
That's the show, folks. Short and sweet. We'll be back next week with a full length episode. We also dropped a new Patreon Episode if you're hungry for more (And really, what aren't you hungry for more?) We'll talk at you soon.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 158
This week we start things off talking about the new CDC guidelines and what they mean to us. From there, as usual, we go all over the place. Here are some of the topics we discuss this week:
The end of the phrase "Master Bedroom"
A hypothetical Helicopter ride in the name of justice
"Phomunda"
Life hacks for chafing
Steve’s Gym clothes woes
A Kevin Shanks inspired animal fighting discussion
That's the show for this week. We hope you enjoy.
NOTE:
There will be no new show next week as Dan has some family commitments to tend to. But we'll be back before you know it. So fret not, kids. Time really flies these days. have a great week!
🤘🏽✊🏾
Welcome to Episode 157
This week we get to talking right away and start the conversation talking colleges and cruise ships, Steve's has recruited a maid service and shares his experience with that, Ben Affleck has new dating woes even though he's freaking Ben Affleck, and then we somehow find a way to pit DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince up against Hall and Oates. No, seriously.
When it comes to what we've been watching:
Dan gives his review of 'Without Remorse' starring Michael B Jordan (Now on Prime Video), We both give our opinions on the first Millarworld submission to Netflix 'Jupiter's Legacy', and HBO Max's 'There Is No "I" In Threesome'. Dan talks about Hulu's 'Trafficked with Mariana Van Zeller' , and finally Steve gives his thoughts on HBO Max's 'Generation Hustle' as well as 'The Good Fight' now on Paramount+.
We wrap things up with Dan giving Steve (and hopefully YOU) an introduction to Chinese recording artist Wing. There's no way you won't adore her.
That's the show, folks. Chew on it a bit and leave us your thoughts at heroesofnoisepodcast@gmail.com or leave us a voicemail at heroesofnoise.com.
We'll be back before you know it. That's a promise. Look out for a new Patreon episode this week as we're coming back after a month off.You kids be good now. Until next time..
Peace

Welcome to Episode 156
This week we're back with 3 reviews coming in the forms of "Nobody" (VOD), "Stowaway" (Netflix), and "Mortal Kombat" (HBO Max)
Before all that though we get into a few topics including the both of us having a couple of "crappy" days (one of us more than the other), the tacky move of upgrading your own wedding ring, HON vs the Five-O, and a new Jordan Peele movie. We also read some listener mail and a couple of iTunes reviews.
We hope you all enjoy this episode as well as your weekends. Be safe out there. Talk to you soon.

Welcome to Episode 155
This week we turn on our mics, press "record", and give you a show that we're calling "Something Out Of Nothing". However, that's not to say we bring nothing to the table this week. We start the show out saying goodbye to not one, but THREE entertainment icons. The world seems emptier as we lost writer and producer Jim Steinman, Shock g of Digital Underground, and Black Rob all in one week. Terrible. This sends us down a music rabbit hole that has us talking about Meatloaf, Air Supply, Dire Straits, The Eagles, Mike and the Mechanics, and more. FTF You don't need to be old to listen to this part. ;)
After some time we get into short discussions about the" For All Mankind" S2 and "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" finales. Dan has started a "Lost" rewatch and gives his thoughts on how it's been so far. Finally, Steve reviews "Boys From County Hell" now on Shudder.
And of course, there's much more.
We hope you enjoy this week's episode. pardon the fact that it dropped a little later than usual, but it's been a very busy couple of weeks for us.
Until next time, friends.
Peace

Welcome to Episode 154
This week we start off by celebrating Steve's birthday. Steve talks about a very special gift ge got from his lady and we also spend some time listening to birthday voicemails from our friends and then we get back to the show. Seriously, he's had 42 other birthdays already. How much time do we have to spend on this? (Just kidding) Dan talks about his experience with Dogecoin, the recent pump from $.07 to $.47, and how it's going for him so far. Steve talks about Kevin Smith auctioning off his new film as an NFT (Non-Fungible Token). We spend some time talking about the latest episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Invincible as well.
As far as what we've been watching:
Welcome to Episode 153
This week we start off by saying goodbye to the one and only DMX who died of a heart attack earlier this week. As the show roles on the banter takes us into Noise News. Dan gives the lowdown on
Before we get into a couple of reviews, Dan plays a game of "Who Dis?" with Steve where he has to guess which actor is singing.
Finally we discuss and review the new HBO Max series "Made For Love" starring Cristin Miliotti, Train To Busan Presents: Peninsula (No on Shudder), and Dan gives his thoughts on The Real World Homecoming: New York (Paramount+) starring the cast of season 1 from 30 years ago. That's right, 30 YEARS AGO.
That's the show in a nutshell, folks. We had fun recording it and we hope you enjoy listening. We'll be back later this week with Episode 154 was well as a new Patreon Episode. You crazy kids stay out of trouble until then.
Peace!

Yo! Dan Here. Welcome to Episode 152.
Yes, the show is a few days late but I'll spare you the excuses and make sure to keep the show notes short. This week due to my crazy work schedule we kept this particular episode quite loose. As we do sometimes, we go all over the place talking about this and that. However we do find our way back to give a review for Season 1 of For All Mankind on AppleTV+. We also put Earth, Wind, and Fire up against The Isley Brothers to see who comes out on top. It's that kind of show.
The good news is that work has let up a bit and I have some room to breathe so we'll be back with another, more structured episode for you in a few days.
As for this week I'm spent so pardon the abridged show notes. Besides don't you have a podcast to listen to? Press "play" already.
We'll talk to you soon.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 151
This week you get us twice. Did you listen to the bonus episode yet? If not, get on it. On this episode Professor Steve teaches the class what a "Milkshake Duck" is. FYI: Dan's been working an abnormal amount of days straight and is running on half a tank.
When we get through with the formalities we speak briefly about the Oscar nominations for 2021. We then dive straight into reviews. As promised, we have both seen the first 2 episodes of For All Mankind on AppleTV+. We had previously seen the first episode last year and didn't think much of it. What do we think now? We've both seen the AppleTV+ Original Calls and give our thoughts. Due to Dan's busy schedule this is all he was able to watch so Steve closes it out with reviews of The One (Now on Netflix), and Corporate Animals (Now streaming on HULU).
That sums up the show for this week. We hope between this and the bonus episode you won't get sick of us. Space it out. We'll be back next week with another episode. Also, the video version of this episode should hit YouTube in the next day or 2 so look out for that.

Welcome to a bonus episode of Heroes of Noise.
This is our longest Patreon episode yet. It may actually be our longest episode period. Definitely top 3. So what you're about to listen to is our spoiler-filled coverage and review of Zack Snyder's Justice League. We're joined by Melissa Sloter from the Wild Pretty Things podcast and Still Great, Bob?: A Mad Men Podcast, Amanda Albers and Quinton Taylor Roberts from The Reel Zodiac podcast, and friend of the show Kevin Mcknight.
There is actually a video that goes with it but that will come later. Much like Justice League there are two versions of this. One is of the entire video conversation. The thing is, there was a ton of crosstalk due to audio/video lag and consequently some of what was said by certain individuals may be hard to hear. But it is the entire conversation and is worth watching just to see Melissa's mind get blown on numerous occasions as she dives head first into the DCEU.
Getting back to the crosstalk, I couldn't let all these wonderful people not get their points out just because I was too lazy to correct it. That's the good thing about recording with multiple tracks. They come in super handy if you want to put in some work. I went in and cleaned it up a bunch so the people could be heard as they were meant to be heard.
So in a way, I guess you can consider this "The Ramirez Cut". I'm currently in talks with HBO Max but more on that later.
This episode is LONGER than the Snyder Cut. Think about that for a second. Thing is we probably could've kept talking for hours. No joke. We had such a great time with our guests and hope to have them back very soon. Thanks to everyone that joined us.
And now, without further ado, please enjoy Patreon Episode 24 - Zack Snyder's Justice League (aka The Ramirez Cut).

Welcome to Episode 150 We apologize for not being able to bring you a show last week but such is the podcasting life. Sometimes the file just can't be saved. Not to worry though as we're back and ready to crush it. This week we get things back on track and start off with some banter at the top of the show. Here's what's discussed: Stimmy / No Stimmy? Dan legit saves a life Benny Mardones' "Into The Night Video" When we get to the reviews it breaks down like this: We review the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier now on Disney+ Steve has seen The Informer (2019) now on Prime We talk about and review AppleTV+ original "Cherry" starring Tom Holland Dan talks about Assembled: The Making of WandaVision on DIsney+ Dan has also seen screeners for the first 3 episodes of "Invincible" the Amazon Prime Video original series (streaming 3/26) and gives his review We close things out with a Quick Grammy discussion, Thoughts on Trevor Noah and Bill Burr we ask the question of what's the better series: Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy Lastly we decide to power through "For All Mankind" on AppleTV+ over the next few weeks and see where that goes. That's this weeks show in a nutshell. We hope you enjoy it and and if you do, please be sure to leave us a 5 star review on iTunes or at www.heroesofnoise.com. We'd truly appreciate it. Have a great week, everyone. We'll talk to you soon. 🤘🏽✊🏾

Welcome to Episode 149
This week we pretty much get right into things and hit you with a bunch of reviews. Sure there's some banter at the top of the show, but for the most part we spend the majority of this episode talking about what we've watched over the past week. This episode is heavy on the documentary reviews for some reason. We didn't plan it that way. It just happened.
First up Dan has a couple of solo reviews. He gives his impressions on the new CW series Superman and Lois, followed by the AppleTV Plus original documentary Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry. We then immediately get into what we've both watched and we start with The new Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell, about the rise and fall of The Notorious B.I.G. We then discuss and review the first 2 episodes of the new HBO Max Doc Series Allen v. Farrow (Note: This one is a lot and if you're easily triggered you may want to skip this series). Lastly we bring things back to a happier tone as we discuss and review the Amazon Original Movie Coming 2 America, starring Eddie Murphy.
That's the show, folks. We hope you enjoy it and if you do please be sure to tell someone about HON. We really want to grow the community in 2021 and we'd appreciate your help spreading the word.
We'll catch you on the flippity flop!

Welcome to Episode 148
This week's show may feel a little different as we once again attempt to use the "live call in" feature of Riverside FM. We're still figuring it out but are loving the fact that we're able to get our listeners more involved with the show. It's not something that we'll utilize weekly, at least not yet. But it definitely adds a little something to the show and keeps things loose which is nice every once in a while. So we cast out a line and caught us one Rob Forrest, first time guest, graphic artist, awesome human being, and creator of our beloved HON logo. We weren't expecting to hear from Rob so it was awesome to finally get to talk to him. Rob stayed on the whole time with us and even reviewed "Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar" with us.
We also talked with Daniel Dominguez, friend of the show, ,lead singer for Farooq. Daniel also goes by vxDEDxv and we were happy to talk to him about his upcoming release "Clocked Out", which drops this Monday 3/1/21. Daniel is ridiculously talented so make sure to stick around until the very end to hear "Frontman" which features this guy you might know named S.E. Hudson. No joke: The amount of talent in the Heroes Of Noise Podcast Community alone really is astounding.
As for us, we get to talking about the recently announced Superman Reboot coming from Ta-Nehisi Coates and produced by J.J. Abrams, the lazy trend of reboots in general, Dan gives a spoiler free review of the A24 screening of "Minari" and more.
We hope you enjoy this episode and again want to thank you for your continues support. New Patreon episode coming soon!
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 146.
This is a special one, ladies and gentlemen. This week we were fortunate enough to be able to sit down with Martin MacPhail of the band Blitz//Berlin, who composed the original scores for movies like "Extraterrestrial", "It Stains The Sand Red", "Blade Runner 2036 "Nexus Dawn", "The Void", and most recently "P.G.: Psycho Goreman". Let's go back to a time when people sat in movie theaters. Remember that? Remember the feeling you got when you saw the trailer for Top Gun: Maverick? You know why you got that feeling? Because they did the fucking score for it. That's why.
Blitz//Berlin are the real deal. Recognize.
It was an absolute pleasure talking with Martin about music, movies, our mutual love for The Mars Volta, TMNT, and the amazing story of both hard work and chance that brought Blitz//Berlin to where they are today. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did recording it.
We want to thank Martin for taking the time to join us and hope to have him back on again sometime as we were nowhere near done with the conversation by the time he had to go.
We also want to thank Brian from Pop Culture Leftovers for joining us a s guest host this week. Be sure to subscribe to PCL, as they're one of the best podcasts out there.
Be sure to watch Psycho Goreman now on VOD and also buy the soundtrack in it's glorious vinyl form now on Wax Records
Lastly, we didn't stop recording when Martin left us. If you'd like to hear what else we recorded that day with Brian, you can join us on Patreon where you're guaranteed at least 2 bonus shows a month.
Enjoy!

Greetings Heroes!
Welcome to Episode 145. This week we're joined by our friend and special guest Rebekah Dahling from The Picardcast. Although she briefly joined us for a recent Patreon show, it's been a while since we've gotten the chance to catch up. We spend the first half of the show doing just that, discussing everything from Covid and everything that comes with it, Steve sleeping on WandaVision, the multiple blunders of the DCEU and Game Of Thrones, the death of Dustin Diamond, and troubled / Abusive celebrities.
ALL OF THE REVIEWS ON THIS EPISODE ARE FILLED WITH SPOILERS. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
Was that clear enough? Now for the reviews:
First up we talk about the new HBO Max Original "The Little Things", starring Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, and Jared Leto.
We also talk about the drama/thriller #Like, now on VOD
Lastly we talk about theAppleTV+ original movie "Palmer" Starring Justin Timberlake
We wrap the show up with yet a little more love for Psycho Goreman now on VOD and free with your AppleTV+ subscription
Here's the link to the Psycho Goreman original soundtrack mentioned in the show.
Ok Heroes, go forth and change the world for the better. But only after you listen to our latest episode. You could also wear earbuds and do both at the same time, and that's what we like to call getting shit done. Have a great week. We'll be back before you know it.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 144!
This week we start the show off with a little chatter which includes addressing the recent Robinhood Scandal and speculation on what's to come. We also talk about the vaccine shortage, Middle aged actors and the inevitable turn to drama, and Steve gives his thoughts on the recent HBO Max trailer while we watch it live.
When we get to what we've been watching, we give reviews of Derek DelGaudio's In and of Itself (Now on Hulu) and PG: Psycho Goreman (Now on VOD). Lastly Dan gives his quick thoughts on Promising Young Woman (Now On VOD).
Hope you don't mind the short and simple show notes. Remember, it's a podcast, not an essay. The real meat is in your headphones. Let's get to it, folks. We hope you enjoy this week's episode. Be sure to look out for a new Patreon episode this weekend as well.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 143!
This week it’s going to be more of a looser show. We spend some time catching up, talking about our current car situations. We follow that up with a talk about the inauguration of the 46th POTUS and what’s to come (don’t worry, it’s not THAT political). We then wrap things up with a couple of discussions / reviews of the Night Stalker miniseries (Now on Netflix) as well as WandaVision (Now streaming on Disney+). Short, simple notes get the job done this week, ladies and gentlemen. It doesn’t always need to be a novel.
With that we’ll let you get to listening. Look out for a new Patreon episode coming next week as well as another regular episode that we’ll drop into your feeds when you’re not looking. We hope you have a fantastic weekend. OK, push “PLAY” now.

Happy new year and welcome to Episode 142!
We hope you’re all “enjoying” the sequel to 2020 so far. We’re 2 weeks in and it already feels like 9 months. But even though 2021 has started off with sputters (to say the least), we feel we’re starting this year off right. Before we get into the show, we wanted to let you know that we appeared on Episode 363 of Pop Culture Leftovers this past weekend. That episode was their first official episode of the year as well, so we had PLENTY (that is not understated) to talk about. It ended up being a 6.5 hour show and we were honored to be a part of it. Be sure to subscribe to Pop Culture Leftovers . You won’t regret it. Brian and Jake are fantastic hosts.
Now then…
Before we get into the 2 reviews (4, if you count the quick mentions of “Extract” (2009) starring Jason Bateman, and “Strongest Man Of All Time” (Hulu) that we do at the end), here’s some of the topics we discuss on this episode:
In Noise News we were going to talk about several things, but decided to give all of our time to the recent Armie Hammer scandal that’s developed online.
When we get to the reviews, we’ve both watched “Black Bear”, Starring Aubrey Plaza, now on VOD), as well as the new Netflix Original “Pieces Of A Woman”, starring Vanessa Kirby, Shia LaBeouf, and Ellen Burstyn.
As mentioned above we do throw in a couple of mini reviews for good measure.
That’s the show, ladies and gentlemen.
We’d like to thank any new listener that may be listening to this episode and we hope you stick around to see what 2021 will bring for HON. We definitely have a few things we’re cooking up, so stay tuned for that. We’ll be back next week with another banger for you. Believe that. Until then we hope you have a fantastic week and a beautiful start to your 2021.
We'll talk to you soon! Peace!

Welcome to a bonus episode of Heroes Of Noise. As a little holiday gift to the HON Community we're making this Patreon episode available to the public. In other words, there's no paywall so feel free to enjoy it. If you like what you hear, please consider supporting Heroes of Noise on Patreon. Now then, let's get to those show notes: Hey it's Dan. Welcome to Episode 19! On the last Patreon episode of 2020 we bring in friends of the show Melissa Sloter from Wild Pretty Things podcast as well as Spoiler Steve from Scene-it Cast to review "Wonder Woman 1984", which dropped on Christmas Day in theaters as well as HBO Max. Before we get down to business we spend a little time catching up on the recent holiday, I talk about how I almost burned my house down on Christmas night, Steve and Melissa do the MGK discussion that had to happen, as Steve has gone at him pretty hard in the past. No offense to my partner in crime, but I do love that Melissa gives it right back to him when he goes at MGK. Spoiler Steve is also a favorite when it comes to debating movies with us and that's why we love having him on. All in all... great guests. WARNING: When we get to WW84, we don't break it down scene by scene, but you should be aware that we do spoil the shit out of it. So if you haven't watched it yet it's probably best to skip this one until you do. Mostly because of spoilers, but opinions fly like gnats on this episode so we'd hate to be responsible for any bias we may cause. 2021 is here and we now have our bearings. Let's do things right this year so that we can once again celebrate socially with no threat or stigma. It's time for an HON meetup and there's no way that's happening until we get back to normal. It's been said close to 180 times, but now more than ever we need to be good to ourselves and be good to the people around you. Happy New Year *Podcaster's note: This is the last episode we'll be recording with Zencastr. I wasn't very happy with the sound on this one and the lag was terrible so I had to edit more than I cared to. In fact, I've never been happy with Zencastr but it did come in handy at times. Going forward we'll be utilizing Riverside FM, which is a similar, but better quality podcasting platform whenever we're joined by guests. It will also give us the capability to live stream and take calls -ins from our listeners. More on that later.

Welcome to Episode 141
We almost didn’t do a show this week but then quickly realized that we this would be the last show of 2020. So we decided to keep it loose this week and lean in to the holiday. Here’s a little of what’s to come this episode:
There’s plenty more, but these are freaking show notes. Listen the the damn episode already.
We wrap things up with a review of The Mandalorian Season 2 through the eyes of Steve.
WARNING: IT’S ADORABLE AND FILLED WITH SPOILERS
This has been a rough year, ladies and gentlemen . We made some friends, lost some friends, lived through a pandemic, adjusted to a new normal, saw how ugly people can be, and got a new Administration. That’s enough for one year, wouldn’t you say?
We at Heroes of Noise wish you the merriest of Christmases and the happiest of new years. We also wish you good health and prosperity for 2021. Thank you so much for your continued love and support. We couldn't do this without you. We'll talk to you in the new year.
Peace (On Earth)

Welcome to Episode 140
This week we start off with a health update as Dan is currently sick, in quarantine, and forced to stay home from work until Covid-19 results come back. Don't worry, you can't catch the Rona listening to podcasts. We push on though and before we get into reviews, these are some of the topics discussed at the top of the show:
80s Tv Trivia from Steve
Byron Allen’s Got BANK and we discuss his and Wayne Brady's Net worth
The Next step for HON is obviously the weed business, right?
(There's more, but just listen)
When we get to Noise News, it goes down like this:
For the last part of the show we bring the reviews of what we both watched this week:
That, as they say is the show. We hope you enjoy and put your fingers to the keys or your mouth to the receiver to let us know what you thought about it.
Fear not, Patrons. 2 Episodes are getting recorded in the next few days. Thanks again for your patience with us as December has been extremely hard for us to get together.
We'll talk soon. Be good, be safe, and Happy Holidays!

Welcome to Episode 139.
It was a busy week for us last week so we're getting this one out to you late. It's also going to be a shorter show this week as we truly are squeezing this one in so we can stay at least a little consistent.
Before getting into our reviews this week, we give you an update on our new website Dan built. It's now live so check it out and let us know what you think. As always we've got to do our thing so we spend some time talking about this and that. This basically equates to us playing a game where Steve tries to figure out the real lyrics to a song that sounds as if it's saying something racists. This week we did AC/DC's Highway To Hell. We then devolve the show as we discuss the effects of aging on genitalia (yes, really). Not to mention a slew of other random topics you've come to know us for getting into.
We do spend some time talking about Disney's Investor's Day that happened last week, but we put it right out there: If you want an incredibly thorough breakdown, listen to Episode 359 from our friends at Pop Culture Leftovers. Brian put work in, so give it listen.
Finally we get to our reviews:
Steve has watched "Moonbase 8", starring John C Reily and airing on Showtime. He gives his thoughts on the new series. Lastly Dan watched "Heaven's Gate: Cult Of Cults" on HBO Max and is eager to give his review.
That's pretty much the show. We'll be back soon as we're recording Episode 140, but we're also recording another Patreon episode. See how you can support us there and get some bonus content below. We'll talk to you soon. Be good.
Peace!

Greeting, Citizens!
It's that time again. No, not Christmas time. It's time to push play and catch up with ya boys on Episode 138. We've been lagging on getting reviews out to you so this week we not only hit you with some rapid fire reviews to get you started for the weekend. We bring a few biggies to the table as well.
Before we get to that we get into some quick "Noise News" as we talk about Warner Bros simultaneously dropping their feature films on HBO Max the day they hit theaters. How long do you think they plan to do this?
As far what we've been watching, it goes like this:
Steve has watched Ghosts Of War (Netflix)
Dan talks about the 2020 documentary Zappa (VOD)
Steve gives his thoughts on Fatal Vows (Discover ID)
Dan gives some quick thoughts about Big Mouth S4 (Netflix), Run (Hulu,) and Fatman (VOD)
We really should have saved TENET for last as this is our longest review but we just couldn't wait to... Well, you'll hear.
WARNING: THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THE TENET REVIEW. AS MUDDIED AS THEY ARE, THEY'RE STILL THERE. (Sorry for the CAPS, but you spoiler-sensitive people are the worst)
Finally we wrap things up as we talk about Greenland, starring Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin, coming to VOD on Dec 18th.
So that's the show, gang. We hope you enjoy it. Keep sending in those emails and voicemails as we love hearing from our listeners. We'll be back before you even know we were gone. Talk to you soon.
Peace!

Greetings, Citizens! Welcome to Episode 137.
This episode was recorded on November 24th, but we got it out a couple days late. So that will explain the turkey talk. We’re just calling it like it is this week: This episode has us at our most ADD. Perhaps it was the coming holiday. Maybe we just were a little too excited. Whatever the case, it was a struggle to get to the reviews this week.
After we get through our usual banter and a shit ton of tangents about everything from having “adult talks” with your kids to disco to Steve’s over pronunciation of French words and Dan's alleged love of Y.A., to Beverly Hills 90210 and The Heights (remember that one?)
In Noise News.
Reviews:
Because we ran out of time to really dive in to what we’ve been watching, Dan gives some quick thoughts on finally watching Dexter (now on Netflix), He's also watched "A Teacher" (Hulu), gives some quick thoughts on "Unhinged" starring Russell Crowe (Now on VOD). Lastly, Steve and Dan have both seen "Spontaneous " (VOD) and spend some time discussing it.
That, as they say, is the show. We hope you enjoy our chaotic chatter this week. We'll be back next week with more detailed reviews. Promise. We hope you all had a safe Thanksgiving and we'll talk to you soon.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 136
After a week off we've returned with another show that's entirely different from what we originally set out to do. We had reviews for you this week. Really..we did. But it's us, people. You know how this works. We're very excitable when it comes to the musical arts and we tend to run with the feels when they hit us. We have confidence that you can get your review fix elsewhere this week. So sit back and listen to ya boys as they get on that grown folks music.
Here's a little of what we get into this week:
Music Tangents:
That's the show, ladies and gentlemen. It comes from our hearts and is made for just your ears. We hope you dig.
Lastly, starting next week you can listen to our latest episodes on Geek Life Radio every Wednesday from 2-4 CST. You can also listen to our past episodes there as well. Help us spread the word, will ya?
We'll talk to you soon. Peace!

Greeting, Citizens!
Welcome to Episode 135. This episode was recorded on 11-6-20, which was Dan's birthday. So naturally we start the show out talking about the perils of aging and not sweating it, losing your filter, hemmoroids, being a courteous patient at the prostate exam, and "super cool" stuff like that.
We also announce the winners of the Video Palace: In Search Of The Eyeless Man giveaway
We then go through some voicemails and emails that we've been sitting on for a while. Because of one of these voicemails, we issue you, the listener, a challenge.
Steve is given a custom Battle Royale by one of our listeners and here's the bill:
Kendrick Lamar v Travis Scott v Lil Wayne v Drake
When we get into reviews it goes down like this:
We hope you enjoy this weeks show, and you know we'll be back before you know it. Look out for a new Patreon episode coming later this week. Have a great week, kids. Stay out of trouble.
Peace!

Greetings, Boils and Ghouls..
Welcome to Episode 134, "Geek Out / Freak Out 3". Enter if you dare. These are pretty much our favorite episodes to record as we're such huge fans of Halloween. One thing that we want to mention is that this year we decided to try our hands at some audio horror. In this episode you'll find 4 spine-tingling tales spun from the minds of your ghoulish hosts, "Steve Bloodson" and "Vampanathan Ramirez". Yes we're laying it on thick, but it's once a year. Give us a break.
Here's more or less how this episode breaks down:
Listener Voicemails:
Talking about the unexplained
1:14:14 - “Closet” by Steve Bloodson
1:15:24 - "A Horror Story" by Vampanathan Ramirez
1:51:14 "My Favorite Dog" by Steve Bloodson
Reviews:
A Creepshow Animated Special (Shudder)
A Nightmare On Elm Street Pt 3 - Dream Warriors
That's the show, folks. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we did recording it. Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
🤘🏽✊🏾
Be sure to listen ASAP to find out how you can win 1 of 5 copies of Video Palace - In Search Of The Eyeless Man books. Winners will be announced on the next show so don't sleep on this.

We want to thank Daniel for joining us this week and we also want to let you know that you should be listening to Farooq. Get their latest LP on Apple Music or wherever you get your digital downloads from.

Welcome to Episode 132!
This week we're joined by our friends Spoiler Steve and Kova from Scene-It Cast. Right off the bat we want to let you know that though it certainly would be festive, the fact that this particular episode is a "Frankenstein's Monster", at least where the audio is concerned. When it was time to put the show together it turned out that there were multiple audio issues causing entire sentences to be inaudible. The weird thing is that it was with everyone not just one person. Luckily Dan is a Type A psychopath and had 3 different recordings going at the same time. (Extra, we know. But it saved the episode).Other than that one minor issue we had a blast recording with the guys from Scene-It Cast. Great conversations with topics ranging from Coen Bros movies, to Ari Aster, and the 2017 travesty known as "Mother" starring Jennifer Lawrence.
As far as what we've watched and reviewed this week, we start with "The Haunting Of Bly Manor" (Now On Netflix). Next up we have a fun conversation / debate about the 2020 movie "No Escape" (Now On VOD). Lastly we review the 2006 Slasher movie "Hatchet" (Available on Amazon Prime Video). This one gets heated in the funnest way as the 2 Steves go head to head. It's great, really.
That there is the show, ladies and gentlemen. A fine submission for the archives if we do say so ourselves. We want to once again thank Steve and Kova for joining us and making this one fun. If you're listening the day this drops we hope you have a great weekend. We'll talk to you soon as we have a new Patreon episode as well as Episode 133 coming your way later this week. We'll let you get to it.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 131.
This week we're joined by first time guest Steven Farshid of the Smorgasborg podcast. It was an absolute pleasure having him with us and we had plenty to discuss. Before we get into what we've been watching this week, here are some of the topics discussed on this episode;
The Tik Tok Dreams challenge
In HON News:
Teenage Bounty Hunters Cancelled After One Season
Boys Season Finale is this week
It's always nice when everyone's watched what we're talking about on the show and this was one of those weeks. We discuss the movie Alone (2020, now on VOD), Scare Me (2020, Shudder Original) starring Aya Cash, and Hulu's Monsterland.
That's the show, folks. We hope you enjoy it. We'll be back sooner than you think so watch your feeds.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 130! This week we we're joined by our oldest podcast friend, 1 Mr. Johnny Bucks. We spend most of the show catching up with John. here are some of the topics discussed in the episode:
This show definitely falls into the' loose show" category, and we like doing these. Think of them as a spotlight on our friends and listeners. We'll be doing this through the month of October.
We thank you for sticking with us and all the support and kind words you give. We'll be back soon with Episode 131 as well as our first Patreon episode of October.
Until then, Peace!

Greetings Citizens!
Welcome to Episode 129. On the last episode in September 2020 we start things out with our usual deluge of tangents ranging from us discussing how old we are now, a potential Bali retreat, why cruises are great but not for the antisocial, Dracula gets a cloak (you'll see), and more.
Before we get into what we've been watching Dan gives you a round of HON Entertainment News and these are the topics discussed:
Our reviews this week our as follows:
You'll find a few other gems in Episode 129 and we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we had fun recording. We'll be back later this week with Episode 130, and should you feel the need for a little more HON, be sure to subscribe to our Patreon page where you'll get 2 extra shows a month.
We'll let you get to it. Time to press "play" and we'll talk to you soon.
Peace!

Welcome to Episode 128.
Yes we know we're tardy but we will keep telling you that this is only temporary. This week we'll just blame 2020 because these days you can literally blame EVERYTHING on 2020. But all of that doesn't matter now because ya boys have finally arrived.
This week we spend less time on tangents and music and more time talking about what we've watched over the last week. The best part is that we both watched all but one of the films discussed on this episode. Nobody thought it would happen, but Steve has finally watched Man Of Steel and gives his thoughts on the film. We also catch up on Season 2 of The Boys (Prime) so far. You know.. since Amazon decided to do us dirty like that and keep us waiting week to week. We've both now seen the entirety of Cobra Kai (Netflix) and we spend some time talking not only about the series, but all about who was really the bad guy in The Karate Kid. As we get further into the show we also discuss the 2020 rock documentary The GoGos (Now on Showtime), which tells the legendary story of their rise from the punk scene to becoming the biggest all female act of all time. The only film that Steve didn't watch was Spree (VOD) so Dan gives some quick praise to the film to serve as encouragement for you to check it out. Lastly we give our thoughts on #ALIVE, the Korean infection movie now on Netflix, as well as The Babysitter: Killer Queen, the sequel to 2017's The Babysitter starring Samara Weaving.
That, as they say is the show. Again, we're sorry for the late drop but be on the lookout for Episode 129 as well as another Patreon episode coming later this week.
We hope you're all doing OK during the zombie apocalypse. Stay safe out there and try to keep your minds off of all the negativity in the world. It'll get to you if you're not careful.
Peace

Greetings Citizens!
Welcome to Episode 127. Once again please pardon our tardiness. Day jobs are a bitch sometimes and being that we're not getting paid to do this full time, sometimes the jobs gotta come first. We were incredibly strapped for time last week but we wanted to get something out to you. We planned on it coming out this weekend but ..well, see above.
This week we bring you a shorter show but it still 100% HON. We held off on the movie reviews this week (128 will be chalk full of them) and we decided to go straight off the cuff. No show notes, no plan, just a whole bunch of riffing and a few more rounds of Battle Royale because we can't get enough of it.
That's far more description than you need for this one. We'll leave you to it. Peace!

Greetings, Citizens! Dan here.
Welcome to Episode 126. This week we kept it loose, press "record", and see where that took us. As a result it pretty much came out like any other show we've done. That means the tangents are flowing as strong as ever.
Here's a list of some of the topics discussed on this episode:
I also give a review of the new HBOMax documentary "Class Action Park" , and briefly talk about "Away" (Now on Netflix), and the new HBO Max Series "Raised By Wolves".
Time to press "play". Don't get too comfortable though. 127 is right around the corner.
Peace

Greetings, Citizens!
Ya boys are back with another one. Since there was no show last week we knew we had to bring it this week. That's what we're giving you over 2.5 hours worth of HON.
We do however start things out on a somber note as we address the recent passing of Chadwick Boseman. This one hit hard. 2020 is relentless. We then give you a full on tutorial on how to get fired from Taco Bell. We've both done it and we feel we're pretty good ta it. Henry Cavill comes up and we suddenly go from being hON to " The Handsome Celebrities Podcast". Because of that conversation we naturally move to music and Dan turns Steve on to the glam metal era. We quickly give our thoughts on the Exorcist reboot that's supposed to be coming in 2021 and Steve does his first live reaction to the teaser trailer for The Batman.
Once we get into what we've been watching it goes like this, and for once we actually give you timestamps (don't get used to it).
Lovecraft Country - 1:29:38
Uncle Peckerhead - 1:38:26
The Boys S2 1:47:50
Ted Lasso 1:56:40
Arctic Son: Fulfilling The Dream 1:59:03
The Pale Door 2:15:34
1BR 2:19:51
Bill and Ted Face The Music 2:22:55
We also discuss Metallica's new live album S&M 2 at the 2:30:19 mark
This is the bulk of the show but of course there's more, and we hope you enjoy it. We'll be back later this week with Episode 126 and will also be recording another Patreon episode this weekend so watch your feeds! We'll let you get to it now. Peace!

Greetings, Citizens! Welcome to Episode 124. We're calling this one "The Battle Royale Continues". It seems some of you are really enjoying this game. We didn't create it, but we have a lot of fun working it out on air.
The first part of the show is the normal loose conversation that you've come to expect. But when we get down to business, we have three solid round of throwing beasts into a cage and letting them fight it out.
Technically we decide who has to go and who is the ultimate winner. This week we're doing it with musical acts. Here's the bill:
ROUND 1:
Mötley Crüe / Bon Jovi / Guns N Roses / Def Leppard
ROUND 2:
Wu-Tang Clan / A Tribe Called Quest / De La Soul / Beastie Boys
ROUND 3:
Michael Jackson / Freddie Mercury / Phil Collins / George Michael
Who do you think will come out on top? Don't be shy and let us know hit us up at heroesofnoisepodcast.com or leave us a voicemail on the website (info below)
Anyway, that's the show this week, folks. We'll be in your ears again real soon. Have a great weekend.
