En el programa de hoy Reinaldo (@RGZprints) estará conversando con Giorgio Gamarra monje mejor conocido como Cholo Chontano (@chontano_magazine), Chontano es un muralista y artista gráfico boliviano haciendo su trabajo desde su ciudad natal de La Paz.Hablaremos sobre la realidad del grafiti en Bolivia y sus inicios en el arte pintando muros con sus amigos. La inspiración nacida de las frases celebres estampadas en las partes traseras del transporte publico y litografías de Andrés Vázquez gloria. Además de dejarse llevar por la idea de celebrar las influencias de su trabajo gráfico que rinde homenaje a las coloridas danzas de sus raíces andinas en forma de historietas satíricas que desarrolla en lino grabados desde su estudio entre una nube de químicos. Jack has created collaborative print editions with Kara Walker, Christo, Judy Chicago, Sol Lowit, and many more highly respected and influential artists of the last 5 decades. Jack went to school during a time when lithography was fading from the world of fine art in the United States, and had a ring-side seat and pivotal role in its renaissance in the 1960s and 70s. De La Rosa pasó su infancia en la frontera observando la interacción e intercambio desde Nuevo Progreso, Rio Bravo y McCallen USA, donde las calles y la iglesia constituían un importante espacio de recreación. Sus pasos como monaguillo lo llevaron a pensar en un futuro como sacerdote, pero una segunda oportunidad a la serigrafía lo haría enamorarse por la técnica conduciéndolo a una carrera como galerista y comunicador visual hasta llegar a convertirse en profesor de gráfica en Texas A&M University. En el programa de hoy Reinaldo (@RGZprints) estará conversando con Shaye Remba, director de Mixografía (@mixografia), estudio de grabado experimental ubicado en Los Ángeles, California. Shaye nos comentará sobre el crecer en un taller de impresión en La Ciudad de México donde el oficio familiar es el de imprimir litografías con grandes artistas nacionales para luego adentrarse dentro de la exploración y creación de la técnica de Mixografía gracias a una colaboración con el gran Rufino Tamayo. Esta técnica desafía la tradición de la superficie plana del grabado y la eleva a una interpretación que se debate entre la escultura y el bulto gracias a la presión y el uso de papel artesanal.
