Conversaremos sobre su incursión en el dibujo, el leer Patoruzu, sus estudios en la escuela de artes y su viaje al Tamarind Instituto que la han convertido en una figura esencial en la preservación y difusión de la litografía en Argentina y Latinoamérica. Esta semana Reinaldo (@RGZprints) quisiera tomar la oportunidad de rememorar una de sus conversaciones favoritas en el canal cuando aún era llamado Pine Copper Lime. Esta fue apenas su segunda entrevista para el programa y quisiera compartirla nuevamente con ustedes. Si han visto la película nominada al Oscar, “Nightmare Alley” o traducida al español como “El Callejón de las Almas Perdidas” seguramente se toparon con algunos de las ilustraciones y escenas en la producción de diseño inspirados de los dibujos y grabados de mi invitado. Esta es una conversación con el ilustrador y grabador español Tomas Hijo (@tomashijo). Tomas, vive el sueño como ilustrador y educador en Salamanca, España re imaginando grandes clásicos de la literatura como el Señor de los Anillos, por medio del linograbado que según él pudo haber tallado un Hobbie. También, reviviendo viejas leyendas urbanas y descubriendo arquetipos que celebran nuestra conciencia colectiva, como seres humanos. Conversarán sobre el balance de llevar una vida de educador e ilustrador y el también haber colaborado con uno de sus grandes héroes, Guillermo del Toro. Pavel nos contará sobre sus inicios realizando proyectos manuales con su madre mientras crecía en su natal Oaxaca rodeado de una rica identidad gastronómica y visual. Hablaremos sobre sus inicios en la gráfica, sus estudios bajo el mentor Shinzaburo Takeda, el desarrolla del hábito del dibujo y la pasión por crear obras de gran formato.
