Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Eric and Andrea review Pumpkin Regatta Romance, the Hallmark Channel fall movie starring Mishael Morgan and Corey Sevier, where two feuding dads, a pumpkin farm, and a boat shop all collide over a town race run in hollowed-out giant pumpkins. Yes, that is a real thing. Andrea gives it 4.5 stars, Eric lands a shade below, and both agree this is exactly the comfort food movie people mean when they say they miss old school Hallmark.

What You'll Hear:

• Andrea's farm-life reality check on chasing a tractor across a field (and a cow manure story nobody saw coming)

• Whether pumpkin regattas are real (they are, with races in Maine and Oregon)

• Why Ethan's mom Frankie and both dads make this a rare Hallmark movie with genuinely supportive parents

• The great Mr. and Mrs. debate: do you still call your friends' parents by their first names?

• The one gripe: how does Nadine not know Lola in a town this small?

• Rob Stewart (Sam Bishop on The Way Home) as a grumpy dad with range, and Eric finally placing Sharron Matthews from Frankie Drake Mysteries

• The Nadine and Ethan romance, including the dad interruption that stopped a kiss cold

• Two fall recommendations from the archives: Pumpkin Pie Wars (2016) and Harvest Moon (2015)

• Mishael Morgan trivia: her history-making Daytime Emmy win for The Young and the Restless

Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Andrea and Eric are back with the first true fall movie of the season, Falling Into Place, starring Nathan Witte and Alvina August. Andrea gives it four stars, Eric lands at three and a half, and both agree the movie leans on just about every fall Hallmark trope there is. So does the chemistry and comfort food coziness win out over a plot with zero surprises? They break down the ratings, the standout supporting cast, and why Nathan Witte needs a real leading role of his own.

What You'll Hear:

• Andrea and Eric rate Falling Into Place separately (four stars vs. three and a half) and explain the gap

• The full rundown on Kaia and James's fall bucket list and why their chemistry carries a familiar plot

Hallmark's A Harvest Wedding Review Sep 15, 2026

Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Andrea picked 2017's A Harvest Wedding for her favorite fall rewatch, and Eric came along to see if Victor Webster and Jill Wagner's farm set romance still holds up. Andrea gives it a full five out of five. Eric has a longer list of questions about crop rotation, barn maintenance, and a farmer somehow growing seventeen different vegetables, but both of them agree the ending is one of the more surprising Hallmark has ever pulled off.

What You'll Hear:

• The recap: a rising New York wedding planner gets hired to plan a wedding back in her hometown, on the farm run by her first love

• Andrea's five out of five rating, and every reason the farm itself doesn't hold up as a real working farm

• Eric's take on Victor Webster's effortless charm versus a harvest timeline that makes no agricultural sense

• Why Jill Wagner's character comes in a little too bossy before she softens up

• Marcus Rosner and Marin McMahon's turns as scene stealing side characters

• The coffee cup and whipped cream moment, and the ending twist that breaks Hallmark's usual small town formula

• Comparisons to Autumn Dreams, Love Fall and Order, and Hearts of Winter, another Webster and Wagner pairing

• Trivia on the stock footage driving scene, the suspiciously green corn stalks, and Victor Webster's 1998 Cosmopolitan cameo

Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding Review Sep 10, 2026

Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Andrea gave Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding a full five out of five, calling it the strongest entry in the series since the premiere. Eric landed at three (nudged up to a 3.75 after some back and forth), mostly because the mystery itself doesn't give viewers enough to work with. Eric and Andrea break down the Ireland setting, the love triangle between Eamon, Griff, and Inspector O'Reilly, a Sister Sister trivia detour, and their picks for what to watch next if this one worked for you.

What You'll Hear:

• Andrea's five out of five case for why this is the strongest Haunted Harmony entry yet

• Eric's three out of five (later revised up) and the "over the top" moments that held him back

• A full breakdown of the wedding mystery, including why the killer's reveal barely gives viewers a fair shot

• The love triangle between Eamon, Griff (Marco Grazzini), and Inspector O'Reilly, and which pairing they're actually rooting for

• Character Corner on Sunny the bride, and why she avoided every social media influencer cliche

• Hallmark trivia: the Sister Sister connection, Tamara Bree teaching herself violin for the role, and Marco Grazzini's real life partner turning up in next week's movie

• Recommendations for fans who want more bridal murder mysteries, from Murder, She Wrote to Brokenwood Mysteries and McDonald & Dodds

Garage Sale Mysteries: Picture a Murder Review Sep 08, 2026

Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Andrea made Eric watch Garage Sale Mysteries: Picture a Murder (2018) before the new one hits Hallmark Plus, and it turns into one of those episodes where the two of them do not entirely agree. Andrea gives it four out of five stars. Eric enjoyed the characters just as much, but thinks the mystery itself gets left in the dust.

What You'll Hear:

• How Jen Shannon (Lori Loughlin) ends up investigating a decades-old camera and the cold case buried inside its film

• Why Evan Roderick's tiny role, maybe four lines, still stole scenes for both hosts

• The Steve Bacic hair joke that might genuinely have been an ad lib

• Spotting Edward Ruttle from The Spencer Sisters and Michelle Harrison from Mystery Cruise in supporting roles

• Andrea and Eric each picking a different suspect before the reveal, and only one of them getting it right

• A real continuity goof involving rain, thunder, and two completely dry actors

• Lori Loughlin and Steve Bacic trivia, including a Full House callback and a surprise Odyssey easter egg

• Their pitch for who should take over the franchise if Garage Sale Mysteries gets more sequels

• A Murder, She Wrote episode with a strangely similar photograph-driven mystery

Hallmark's Much About Love Review Sep 03, 2026

Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Eric and Andrea sit down with Hallmark's modern spin on Much Ado About Nothing, Much About Love, starring Ashley Williams and Niall Matter as feuding exes Beatrice and Benedict. Both hosts land on the same 3.5 out of 5 stars, but for very different reasons, and one wordless scene at a kitchen table nearly wins them over completely. Along the way, they also reveal the fall Hallmark movies they're each committing to review next, and neither one saw the other's pick coming.

What You'll Hear:

• Hallmark news: Brendan Morgan lands the lead in a new scrapbooking-themed Christmas movie opposite Lindura.

• A look at what's airing this week, including Garage Sale Mysteries: Picture a Murder.

• Andrea's fall movie shortlist, from a near-miss with Falling for Vermont to her pick for next review, 2017's A Harvest Wedding with Jill Wagner and Victor Webster.

• Eric's fall movie shortlist, including a real debate over whether Dating the Delaneys even counts as a fall movie before he lands on Country at Heart with Jessy Schram and Niall Matter.

• The full breakdown of Much About Love: what Ashley Williams and Niall Matter's chemistry pulls off, and where the plot's manufactured conflict loses them.

• The standout scene: a wordless moment with crayons at a kitchen table that both hosts call one of the most romantic scenes of the year.

• Two comfort-watch recommendations for fans of the Beatrice-and-Benedict banter, plus a spicy Murder, She Wrote episode that shares the movie's restaurant joke.

Show notes

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions.

Eric and Andrea close out Paris Is Always a Good Idea with the Hallmark+ series finale, Knightly Revisited. Lacey Chabert's Chelsea has to choose between the past and the guy waiting for her in the garden, and the two hosts don't fully agree on whether the finale earned it. Andrea is still ranking episode five higher, and Eric has a running list of gripes, from the wedding vows to why the big climax happened in Spain instead of Paris.

What You'll Hear:

• Andrea's take on the emotional kitchen scene between Chelsea and her dad, and why it hit harder than expected

• A rundown of the finale's biggest musical moments, including Kelly Clarkson and Belinda Carlisle needle drops

• Why Eric thinks the Hallmark+ subscription and its free greeting card perks are actually worth signing up for

• A real disagreement over the storyline where Chelsea's mom kept her illness a secret before Chelsea left for Europe

• Eric's case for why the Knightly reunion needed more tension, and why he thinks the climax belonged in Paris, not Spain

• A look at the finale's oddly secretive wedding vows and the age gap behind the Annabelle twist
