A Twisted Family Tree | Two Earthly Geneologies Dec 25, 2023

Show notes

Merry Christmas from all of us at Harvest Ministries and A NEW BEGINNING. Today, Pastor Greg helps us look beyond the gifts and the garland, the tinsel and the tree. But Pastor Greg first draws our attention to some family matters. We’ll examine two separate earthly genealogies of Jesus, and what they teach us of God’s mercy and grace.

Catch a Christmas greeting from Pastor Greg here.

A Twisted Family Tree | Jesus' Earthly Ancestry Dec 22, 2023

Show notes

Help us share the gospel in 2024!

Some of the genealogy TV shows are fascinating. They trace the ancestry of a famous actor or music artist. So often, hopes are high that they can trace the lineage back to a regal monarch from a faraway land. But sometimes all they find is a regular ol’ horse thief from a nearby county. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie takes us to Jesus’ family tree. It’s a fascinating tour of the colorful characters God chose for Jesus’ earthly ancestry.

Christmas, B.C. | Jesus Before Christmas Dec 21, 2023

Show notes

Help us share the gospel in 2024!

Some may make the assumption that Jesus was “behind the scenes” in the heavenlies right up until the moment He made His first appearance in the stable in Bethlehem. Some would even say the Son didn’t even EXIST until that moment. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie sets the record straight. We’ll see how the Son is coeternal with the Father, and even makes several appearances in Scripture before that first Christmas. We’ll see for ourselves. Revealing insight is coming our way today.

Show notes

Help us share the gospel in 2024!

Some may think that everyone celebrates Christmas just like we do here in the United States. Wintertime scenes of sleighs and snow-covered Christmas trees. But in many parts of the world, December 25th is the start of summertime. Our friends in Australia just said, “Amen.” In the Orthodox tradition, Christmas comes January 7th. But there’s even more to learn about this important holiday. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie takes to the book of Genesis for a thorough Bible study!
