    Good Bodies

Welcome to Good Bodies, a “wellness” entertainment podcast where all bodies are good bodies. If you’re still reeling from the toxic diet culture of the early 2000s (justice for Jessica Simpson) and constantly quoting your therapist, then Emily Lubin and Lauren Hope Krass are here to help you laugh (so you don’t cry). Diets can’t sit with us anymore but there’s a place at the table for body neutrality, body positivity, intuitive eating, and hot takes about which non-dairy creamer pairs best with our sharp cheddar cheese omelettes. For more Good Bodies content and the most relatable shit on the internet, follow us on Instagram at @everythingsfine.

    Show notes

On today’s episode of Diet Starts Tomorrow, Emily and Lauren channel Dear Abby as they respond to TWO listener submitted questions. First, we hear from someone who is concerned about her boyfriend’s health and wellness habits. When guys joke about not caring if they live a long time.. are they actually joking? In this inaugural Fat Chats, we hear from a plus size listener who is having a hard time getting the courage to shop for an outfit for an upcoming formal affair. For all the above, Emily and Lauren offer up both empathy and carefully crafted advice.

Is It A Cultural Difference Or Are They Just Being Fatphobic? Feb 22, 2024
    Show notes

On today’s episode of Diet Starts Tomorrow, Emily and Lauren have a detailed discussion about the ways different cultures talk about body size and the miscommunications that can happen as a result. Is calling someone “gordita” or “piggie” cute, rude or just a cultural difference? Emily references an anecdote from “90 Day Fiance” and Lauren recalls some comical misunderstandings from when she studied abroad in Spain. Then, the two respond to a Dear DST from an American listener who is working abroad in London and having some struggles around a coworker making comments about her body. Is this another cultural difference or is her coworker just being generally offensive?
