Gojo welcomes in old friend, Jason Fitz, to the show to fill in for his dad. What Fitz has been up to recently and he’s got some pent up takes on the Wemby coverage. We recap the StuGotz-Jake Owen debacle, and GoJo basically does the same thing with Fitz. Big XII media day had a lot of realignment talk, but the pressure is on for one former powerhouse. This, That and the Third has someone getting paid, just not that much, a Publix, and repopulating the world after the Zombie Apocalypse.

Gojo gets all the tea from Mike Sr., live from the American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament where we always hear from Adam Thielen before he also tees it up in Tahoe. (3:20) - Pat Fitzgerald is out at Northwestern after President Schill reconsidered his original punishment. A lot of aspects of this one with Schill releasing a statement. How much was known originally after the investigation? And just because Pat Fitzgerald has a good reputation, good people can still be in the wrong; humans are complicated.

(31:33) - Vlad Guerrero Jr. headlines a Home Run Derby with a lot of great stories. Audley Rutschman’s amazing feat is just overshadowed by Luis Robert, Julio Rodriguez put on a show for the home town fans, and Randy Arozarena comes up just short with Vlad taking home the title.

(37:37) - Mike Sr. tempers expectations for the public as he heads to Tahoe for the American Century Championship. It’s not going to be pretty.

Wemby bounces back, NCAA coaches in trouble, tennis etiquette, & StuGotz to screw over Golic Sr. Jul 10, 2023

Gojo is back with surprisingly a ton to cover after a summer weekend. Mike Jr. and Mike Sr. breakdown Wemby's Summer League, tonight's Home Run Derby, tennis etiquette at Wimbledon, Pat Fitzgerald and the Northwestern hazing scandal, Bob Huggins' resignation (or lack thereof), yet another legendary story from Wade Boggs, and most importantly, how StuGotz is screwing over Mike Sr. this week at his celebrity golf tournament.

(1:45) - Mike Sr. is working on his golf swing with troubling results as he gets ready for a celebrity golf tournament this week and he's becoming a mark for all the golf gadgets as he gets older.

(7:13) - StuGotz has already cooked up a scheme that is sure to screw over Mike Sr. during the golf tournament. Stu's on the bag Friday, and they anticipate him to go M.I.A. around the 7th hole.

(12:04) - Wemby has a rough Summer League debut after dealing with a lot of the Britney Spears drama and no one really handled things well after the incident, after TMZ released the video.

(14:18) - Big Vic bounces back though in his 2nd Summer League appearance. Mike and Mike compare it to other Summer League debuts including an interesting angle of James Harden's pro debut.

(19:31) - Wimbledon ump asks fans to stop popping champagne bottles during serves, while Mike Sr. ponders if it's more difficult to return a pro tennis serve, or hit a baseball.

(25:16) - Home Run Derby tonight, and it still is must-see TV in the Summer. Mookie Betts is set for his 1st derby appearance after his wife's encouragement. Pete Alonso is favored to enter rarified derby air, and J-Rod gets a rough 1st round matchup.

(29:07) - Bob Huggins and West Virginia are at odds after Huggins' lawyers tell WVU that he never actually resigned.

(33:38) - Pat Fitzgerald will have his punishment reconsidered by Northwestern president after details come out that Fitzgerald possibly knew about hazing on the football team.

(41:39) - This, That, and the Third: Spieth struggles with an iron, Wade Boggs' legend grows, and LSU Baseball goes 1-2 in MLB Draft.

(04:20) - Wembanyama’s security team allegedly backhand slapped Britany Spears after the Pop Star tapped Big Vic’s shoulder to get a picture outside a Vegas restaurant. While some blame Victor Wembanyama for the assault on Spears, Golic explains why this is all on the security staff. (08:30) Gojo didn’t know backhand slaps were a thing and needs to review the tape before passing judgment.

(12:04) - Rumors surrounding a relationship between Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian heat up after Michael Rubin’s Hamptons White Party. Golic says if this is real, the relationship will last ‘two to three months’ while his son, oddly wants to see the GOAT emoji and the Peach emoji make it. But also, what do you even eat at a White Party?

(16:06) - Gojo and Golic give their thoughts on Brooks Koepka’s negative comments about his LIV Golf teammate Matthew Wolff. Gojo suggests there’s something deeper at play between the two golfers. Golic says there’s no excuse for Koepka, as team Captain, to talk to the media about his teammate like this. (19:42) Gojo calls Koepka out for being a bit of a hypocrite, criticizing Wolff for playing poorly.

(28:00) - After Marc J. Spears explains how Dame to Miami will get worked out during Summer League, the guys react to reports that Damian Lillard is so locked in on joining the Miami Heat that if he’s traded to another team, they’ll be getting a disgruntled superstar. Golic says Dame’s agent is doing exactly what he’s supposed to do, get his client where he wants to go.
