    NXT, AEW: Champion crowned, Miro debuts, steel cage badasses, The Elite's future? Sep 10, 2020

    It was a huge week for NXT and AEW that saw both brands deliver exceptional shows in key moments. Host Adam Silverstein begins with NXT [5:13], which finally settled its championship picture as Finn Balor took down Adam Cole in a match that should have satisfied even those angry with last week's finish while setting the stage for a sea of change for the yellow brand. NXT also delivered tremendous main event as Rhea Ripley and Mercedes Martinez squared off in a "battle of the badasses" that lived up to its name and then some. Next, "The Silver King" dives into AEW Dynamite [24:12], which produced its best show in weeks after All Out disappointed led by Adam "Hangman" Page trying to hang on to the last vestiges of The Elite while Kenny Omega appears ready to head out on his own. Miro (f.k.a. Rusev) debuted, Matt Hardy discussed his incident, MJF rebounded, Chris Jericho began a new path, and Brodie Lee-Dustin Rhodes overdelivered.     With some fans back in attendance, AEW is set to deliver its second pay-per-view of the pandemic era when All Out goes down Saturday with a nine-match card filled with intriguing possibilities.     The second of three weeks that NXT and AEW are running unopposed from one another brought vastly different shows. As NXT resets its storylines and championship pictures after NXT TakeOver: XXX, AEW continues its build towards All Out. Host Adam Silverstein breaks down both shows instant analysis-style immediately after the went off the air in this unique episode. Up first is NXT, which saw Karrion Kross vacate the NXT championship and general manager William Regal respond by setting up a huge match next week [3:16]. There was also a big title change on the show along with a much-anticipated bout between Santos Escobar and Swerve and some intriguing storylines in the women's division.
