WWE: WrestleMania 2021 card expands, Andrade gets release, Rhea Ripley debuts Mar 23, 2021
    Show notes

WWE is now full-steam ahead to WrestleMania 37 and with that comes expanding the card for their biggest show of the year. With WrestleMania once again being a two-night event in 2021, WWE added numerous matches to the card on its first Raw following Fastlane. Host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini are here to break them all down, but first, the guys start with The Main Event [7:10] as Raw went through great lengths to build the WWE championship feud between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre while providing something else for Sheamus to do. Andrade's release [23:10] and Charlotte Flair's COVID-19 diagnosis are also touched on before a closer look is taken at the debut of Rhea Ripley and what it means for the Raw women's division [31:40]. "The Silver King" and "Vintage" then dive into the return of The Fiend, reigniting Kevin Owens-Sami Zayn and the numerous tag team feuds before discussing Hulk Hogan and Titus O'Neil as WrestleMania hosts and Eric Bischoff's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE Fastlane 2021 instant analysis: WrestleMania plans change Mar 22, 2021
    Show notes

Just minutes after WWE Fastlane went off the air, host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini jump on the horn to break down every match and storyline from the final pay-per-view on WWE's Road to WrestleMania 37. The guys begin with the main event as the universal championship match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan provided some of the best booking WWE has given us in recent memory. They discuss why the outcome of the match will have a direct impact on WrestleMania and everything WWE got right from a storytelling standpoint. "The Silver King" and "Vintage" also break down Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus, how Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair is like "The Shawshank Redemption" and which matches should not have been on the show before providing their final grades for WWE Fastlane. Adam and Chris also talk about whether WWE should have two pay-per-views between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania and their first impressions of Peacock. NXT, AEW: TakeOver Stand & Deliver builds, Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker bangs Mar 18, 2021
    Show notes

NXT got heavy into its build to TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, while AEW featured the first women's main event in company history on another great Wednesday night of professional wrestling. Host Adam Silverstein is here to break it all down, starting with NXT developing Finn Balor vs. Karrion Kross (plus a hint of Scarlett) and Adam Cole vs. Kyle O'Reilly [2:45]. Plus, the first meeting of Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin, the introduction of Sarray, the return of WALTER, the debut match of LA Knight and standout nights for Austin Theory, Dexter Lumis and Zoey Stark. Next up is AEW Dynamite where the focus is clearly on an absolute banger lights out match between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker that deserves exceedingly high praise without going overboard [22:05]. Also, the introduction of The Pinnacle, another disappointing Cody Rhodes match, where the Kenny Omega storyline is going and a juxtaposition between the use of Christian Cage and Sting. WWE Fastlane 2021 ultimate preview, WrestleMania card projections Mar 16, 2021
    Show notes

With Fastlane on Sunday and WrestleMania around the corner in just one month, host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini tackle WWE's two big upcoming pay-per-views with an ultimate preview of Fastlane [1:09:30] preceding their projected cards for WWE's Granddaddy of Them All [52:09]. The guys open the show by discussing WWE's convoluted and often nonsensical storytelling on Raw, primarily regarding Drew McIntyre's dual storylines with Bobby Lashley and Sheamus [3:00]. Adam and Chris also discuss everything else from SmackDown and Raw this week, including Andrade requesting a release, Asuka's return, a surprise title change and the success of Seth Rollins-Cesaro [35:20]. "The Silver King" and "Vintage" then move into their WWE Fastlane ultimate preview with breakdowns of every match and storyline ahead of the PPV before sharing their projected WrestleMania 37 cards four weeks out from the major event. NXT, AEW: Epic show with major surprises, intriguing Revolution fallout Mar 11, 2021
    Show notes

NXT delivered in a major way with one of the best weekly shows in brand history. With three titles on the line and two major surprises announced, NXT gave host Adam Silverstein plenty to talk about as the company plans for its first two-night TakeOver event. "The Silver King" breaks down that big announcement, the new NXT women's tag team championships and the results of the Finn Balor-Adam Cole and Io Shirai-Toni Storm matches along with everything else on the show [4:42]. A quick stop with NXT UK looks at the best women's match of the year as Kay Lee Ray and Meiko Satomura battled in an epic clash that is appointment TV [28:10]. Next, Adam dives into the post-Revolution episode of AEW Dynamite starting with whether the kayfabe explanations for the disastrous finish to the pay-per-view hit or rang hollow [30:07]. He also discusses the hot Inner Circle segment leading to the debut of MJF's new faction, the idea of a Kenny Omega-Christian Cage feud, Scorpio Sky's heel turn, the women main eventing next week and repetitiveness with Sting. WWE stuck in the school zone on Road to WrestleMania 37 Mar 09, 2021
    Show notes

With WWE's signature WrestleMania pay-per-view "back in business" and less than five weeks away, the overall product feels like it's riding in a school zone rather than on the Fastlane to the biggest show of the year [1:07]. Host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini dive into WWE's storyline struggles in The Main Event [4:22], including what we should take from the sudden elevation of Daniel Bryan, rematches on Raw and a women's division that is being given far less booking effort just two years after WWE's supposed evolution as a company. Plus, Apollo Crews' character growth, the horrendous Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon segments and struggling to find direction in the midcard or tag team divisions with WrestleMania approaching [41:31]. AEW Revolution 2021 instant analysis: Disaster ending, 'huge' signing Mar 08, 2021
    Show notes

Just minutes after AEW Revolution went off the air, host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini jumped on the horn to break down the company's first pay-per-view of 2021 with thorough discussions about every match and storyline on the show. The guys start by praising the excellent main event, an exploding barbed wire deathmatch for the AEW championship pitting Kenny Omega against Jon Moxley, but the mood quickly turns sour given the disaster finish to the PPV. "The Silver King" and "Vintage" break down what went wrong, why AEW should not try to make it right and how the end of the show was emblematic of the company's issues. Adam and Chris also break down the "huge" surprise signing, Sting teaming up with Darby Allin in a cinematic match, the "brass ring," two additional AEW debuts and much more from AEW Revolution. The guys wrap things up with final grades for the PPV. Follow Getting Over on Twitter @GettingOverCast.

    Show notes

AEW's first major pay-per-view of 2021 is nearly here, so host Adam Silverstein checks in with an ultimate preview of AEW Revolution. "The Silver King" breaks down every match and major storyline on the show, providing predictions for every contest while also speculating on who AEW may bring in for its promoted surprises [35:20]. Will Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch be too much for the average viewer? Will Tony Khan deliver on his promise for a Hall of Fame worthy debut? Adam also breaks down Shaquille O'Neal's big-time bump on AEW Dynamite and Jon Moxley's United States title match against Kenta at NJPW Strong [29:23]. Up first is NXT [2:50] where the major storylines are the brand's potential move to Tuesday and the build for a huge show next week featuring Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole for the NXT title and Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm for the women's crown. Also discussed are the controversial women's tag team title match, The Way's incredible gimmick work and some redemption for LA Knight. Follow Getting Over on Twitter @GettingOverCast.

The guys continue The Main Event with Daniel Bryan's insertion into the Roman Reigns-Edge storyline [23:45] and extensive problems with WWE's booking of the women's division across both main shows, including Reginald and Charlotte Flair [33:16].
