Hey Listeners!!!! Long time no see. I'm so sorry this is my first episode of 2024- once again life became a bit overwhelming and I had to take a break. I've missed you! This episode I am very excited about! Saltburn was easily the most talked about movie before the end of 2023 and I KNEW I had to discuss it on the podcast. Not only did I LOVE it, but I found someone to discuss it with me who loved it equally. My longtime friend, Jessica Englett, from my high school and college years joined me to discuss this pop culture phenomenon film! Saltburn is about a student at Oxford University who finds himself drawn into the world of a charming and aristocratic classmate who invites him to his eccentric family's sprawling estate for a summer never to be forgotten. Directed by the insanely talented Emerald Fennell. Starring Barry Keogan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Archie Madekwe, and Alison Oliver. This film will take your mind, body, and soul on a wild ride. Also, it'll make you gasp and say "WTF" multiple times, but hey- thats cinema baby! I loved it!

Film: Scream(1996) featuring Claire White from Why the Flick? Podcast Oct 22, 2023

Happy Spooky Season!!! My favorite time of the year! This year I decided to feature one of my all time favorite films, Scream. I literally watch this film every 3 months, sometimes more often, and it holds a very special place in my heart. Imdb plot reads: A year after the murder of her mother, a teenage girl is terrorized by a masked killer who targets her and her friends by using scary movies as part of a deadly game. Starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Jamie Kennedy, and Drew Barrymore. Directed by Wes Craven- I feel this film redefined the horror genre. The slasher style, and nods to former horror films makes the commentary so fun and spooky. It also begs the question, "What's your favorite scary movie?". I'm joined by my good friend Claire White from Why the Flick? podcast. She is so much fun to talk to and very knowledgable about films. This episode of Get Your Binge on is all about the 2016 film, Arrival. Featuring a good friend of mine who is the movie review king, DJ Buckhanan. He has an Instagram, Letterboxd, and Youtube channel all dedicated to his love of movies called 3rd Eye Movie Reviews. He watched Arrival just this year and couldn't stop talking about it, which brought up my love for the film! I knew I had to feature this special movie on the podcast. Arrival is about a linguist who works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world. Cast include: Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker, and Michael Stuhlbarg. This film will take everything you thought you knew and flip it upside down and cause a snowball effect of emotions leaving you crying and speechless. Directed by Denis Villeneuve. I'm back with another episode and this week I'm featuring a show that has captured my heart and soul - then proceeded to make it explode! I'm still beaming from the joy this show brought to me. Adapted from the book of the same title by Taylor Jenkins Reid, this show follows the rise of rofck band Daisy Jones and The Six through the 1970s Los Angeles music scene on their quest for worldwide Icon status. Inspired by the real life tumultuous journey of legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac, specificially members Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham. Starring Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Will Harrison, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright and Timothy Olyphant. This cast is stellar, and the band is talented. Not only that, within the first 24 hours the album of the fictional band "Aurora" topped the music charts including Billboard's Emerging Artists chart - which makes them the first act to be No. 1 on this chart whose formation stems from a scripted series. If you are a music fan, or a fan of a compelling drama then this series is for you! I hope you enjoy this episode!

Film: Little Fish(2020) Feb 26, 2023

This week I wanted to bring you another film that recently changed my life. No exaggeration. Lately it feels like five star films are hard to come by. When I turned on this film called Little Fish starring Olivia Cooke and Jack O'Connell I really didn't know what to expect. It blew me away, and left me in tears. Then, I was left thinking about it for several days afterwards. That's when you know a film made an impact on you! This film follows Emma and Jude as they fight to hold their relationship together as a memory loss virus spreads and threatens to erase the history of their love and courtship. Film: Good Luck to You, Leo Grande(2022) Feb 05, 2023

Welcome back to Get Your Binge On! After taking a much needed mental health break and after soaking up a month of family time- I'm back with a brand new episode. Not only that, but I've refreshed the Get Your Binge On podcast brand and I'm eager to hear your thoughts on it. The first part of the episode I go into how 2023 will bring a new flavor of the podcast, and then I'm bringing you a feature episode on the film Good Luck to You, Leo Grande. Documentary Feature: Harry & Meghan with Carley Fleming and Hope Seabrook Dec 31, 2022

For the first time ever I'm featuring a documentary on the podcast! What better way to debut this trend by featuring the new Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. My wonderful friends Hope Seabrook and Carley Fleming joined me to discuss this series! We all were texting each other with thoughts on the documentary and I said "Join me for the podcast!". It just made sense. This documentary explores the span of their relationship, from the early days of the couple's courtship to the challenges and controversies that prompted them to step back from the royal family. 1899 & Dead to Me Dec 02, 2022

Welcome back to Get Your Binge On! This is the first ever episode that features two shows from Netflix! I am so very excited to bring you two very different series- both with wonderful qualities that make them excellent bingeable shows. 1899 is a long awaited series from the powerful creative team of Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. They created the series Dark, which is one of my all-time favorite Netflix series, and have returned with this new captivating story. 1899 centers around multinational immigrants traveling from the old continent to the new who encounter a nightmarish riddle aboard a second ship adrift on the open sea.

Dead to Me is a Netflix on its third and final season, and man did it go out with a bang! Starring the stellar duo Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, this series is bound to make you laugh and cry all in one sitting. This is the long awaited prequel series to 'Game of Thrones' both written by George R. R. Martin. I love the world of Westeros and I'm so glad its back and here to stay for the foreseeable future! According to Imdb the plot is a love triangle between one girl and two brothers. A story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer. This series was a breath of fresh air, and one that really puts you in your feels. Whether you are recalling your first love, or reminiscing on your latest late night hang out with your best friend- this show may connect with you. I had no guest for this episode due to scheduling conflicts, and I decided it was time to bring you this show that I've been dying to discuss with you either way. Yellowjackets follows a wildly talented high school girl soccer team that become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness. This show is suspenseful, crafty, thrilling, and downright crazy at times! It was an absolute RIDE! I loved every second. With a second season coming there are lots of theories that need discussing. Be sure to listen to all of the episode so we can dish out all the fan theories afterwards! Melanie Lynskey won a Critic's Choice Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of adult Shauna. The show has just been nominated for 7 Emmy Awards!! I am in love with this show, and hope you all loved it too!!

In honor of Pride Month I decided it was time to feature my first film on the podcast. What better way to do that than by discussing one of my favorite films of all time, Call Me by Your Name. This movie quite literally changed my life back in 2017, and to this day still makes me giddy each time I watch it- almost like I felt the first time. I brought my friend, Katy Hinds, back on with me to discuss the film we hold so dear to our hearts. This is a very special episode, and it's one I've never done before. This episode is strictly my own thoughts and reactions to the fantastic and absolutely perfect series finale of Peaky Blinders. A show that captivated my mind, body, and soul over a year ago came to an end, and with the finale being 90 minutes long I wanted to dedicate an entire episode to it. I also watched this final series before so many of you and I've been keeping these thoughts inside me for months. I needed to get them out!! This is the second Sally Rooney book to be adapted into a TV miniseries on Hulu. Brought to us by the same team who worked on Normal People. Conversations with Friends is about two Dublin college students, Frances and Bobbi, and the strange and unexpected connection they forge with married couple, Melissa and Nick. This series is packed with incredible cinematography, direction, music, and swoon-worthy romance. Cast includes newcomer Alison Oliver, who took my breath away with her sheer talent. Sasha Lane, Jemima Kirke, and Joe Alwyn complete the cast as a perfect edition to the story. This series is captivating, and I'm positive you'll binge quite quickly! Sally Rooney gives us a complex story with griping moments that bear the questions, "what really happens when two people are alone?".

This series shows a look into the daily(or rather, nightly) lives of three vampires, who've lived together for over 100 years, on Staten Island. I promise, within the first 5 minutes you should have yourself a little giggle. I was quite surprised by how quickly I was into this storyline! It may help if you like vampires too! Nominated for 10 Emmy Awards. Written and directed by several talents including Taika Waititi.
