Show notes CLL #886 (feat. Lit) 02/21/1999 – Sunday Night Show Source – Tobydog Tape (2009)

This is a brand new export of the only known copy of this episode, a Toby tape I first transferred almost a decade ago. Lit are making their first of five known visits to CLL, the episode is nearly 100% complete, just missing 30 seconds or less from the tape flip. A. Jay Popoff, Jeremy Popoff, Kevin Baldes and Allen Shellenberger are all in studio. Adam tells the story of taking Nate and Tim to ‘Knott’s Scary Farm’ and Dr. Drew misses a clearly bogus call.

From Wiki: Lit is an American rock band, formed in 1995 in Fullerton, California. They are best known for their hit song “My Own Worst Enemy“.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby and Kevin Tapes, Deborah Harry is making her only known appearance on CLL, she stays longer than Stan Lee did but not by much. It’s a solid episode with a nice ‘Blondie’ cameo, Debbie leaves early as she’s “under the weather” after a recent ‘Tonight Show’ performance. Drew and Adam work out some of their relationship drama, Adam scolds the producers of ‘Talk Soup’ after he learns of the grudge they hold against him after they tried to publicly humiliate him with the teleprompter despite his borderline illiteracy. Producer Ann even gets on mic to

Show notes CLL #884 (feat. The Dub Pistols) – 02/17/1999 – Wednesday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016) with Tobydog Tape (2009) Patches

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby Tape, Barry Ashworth is making his only know appearance on the show. It’s a very unique episode and Adam seems to be having fun. Dr. Drew and Mike get one over on Adam, hilarious episode!

From Wiki: Dub Pistols are an English electronic music group founded by the ubiquitous Barry Ashworth in 1996. The other members of the band were record producer and bassist Jason O’Bryan (1997 – 2010), Brooklyn producer and lyricist, T. K. This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby and Kevin Taps, Rob Blake is making his 1st appearance on the show, previously he was scheduled for CLL #824 with Luc Robitaille from November of 1998, but they had to cancel last minute due to a “team meeting.’ Both Sean O’Donnell and Rob Blake are making their only know appearances on the show. This episode is 100% complete with an audio upgrade thanks to the Kevin Tape. The show is fairly quiet while the guests are there, when they leave the 2nd hour really picks up and Adam has a bit of a

Show notes CLL #882 (feat. Myles Berkowitz) – 02/15/1999 – Monday Night Show Source – Tobydog Tape (2009)

This is a newly remastered and nearly 100% complete Toby Tape from 2009. Myles Berkowitz is making his only appearance on CLL promoting his movie ’20 Dates’ the episode is considered by some to be a standout episode as Adam and Drew are in rare form, others found Myles joke attempts and plugging to be annoying. The static burst at 73min in has been removed, so no need to brace yourself.

Show notes CLL #881 (feat. The Love Between The Two Hosts) – 02/14/1999 – Sunday Night Show Source – Tobydog Tape (2009)

This is the only known recording, it’s nearly 100% complete. This is the infamous episode from the night Dr. Drew was sick in Arlington Virginia and freaked out on Adam and their driver Ronnie who could not stop talking about food, while Drew was miserable in the backseat of his town car. Susan Pinsky makes a cameo for Valentine’s Day 1999, she returns on the phone for CLL #887 and then returns to the show in person to guest for the final episode of 1999.

This is the only known recording, the episode is 98% complete. There is some missing content in the body of the show but all of the breaks, intro and outro are intact. Rob Schneider “no showed” once again. The two known spots of missing content are a few seconds during the call from Diana the caller who can’t stop talking about her husbands softball anecdotes and then the majority of missing content, roughly 9 minutes are missing, a call about a bent penis cuts out and the show comes back in time to close out a call about the long term effects of ecstasy. Adam rants about the misinformation regarding ‘Animaniacs’ included in his new bio.

Show notes CLL #877 (feat. Nicole Sullivan, Michael McDonald and Andrew Bowen) 02/08/1999 – Monday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016)

This is the only known recording, there was a previous Tobydog Tape that was incorrectly dated as this show and then later moved to Oct. 17th 1999, I transferred the Tobydog Tape but it’s unclear if there was a partial recording attached to it from this episode or not, This recording is 99% complete, only missing a few seconds around the 50min mark when Adam and Drew are talking about eating some burgers.
