CLL #906 (feat. The Love Between The Two Hosts) 03/21/1999 – Sunday Night Show Source – Tobydog Tape (2009)

This is the only known source for this episode, it’s nearly 100% complete just missing a single word from Dr. Drew about 15 minutes into the episode and a few seconds after the tape flip, right after the station identification break. Adam and Drew struggle to understand the concept of a “Hotel Party” and Adam goes on a left turn arrow rant. Lots of heavy calls in this episode.

LLT Notes:

Adam admits to missing Drew who had been in New York and just got back last night. The Oscar awards were on earlier in the night. Drew says neither him nor his wife has seen The Shining. Engineer Mike also admits to have never

CLL #905 (feat. David Strickland with Dr. Bruce) 03/18/1999 – Thursday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016)

This is a never before shared Lost Episode, only recently made available via this feed to a much smaller audience. Only a few hundred people have heard this since it originally aired, the episode is nearly 100% complete and very fascinating. This is the last known recording of David Strickland aside from some phone messages sent before his suicide. This is David’s only appearance on CLL. This episode is just over 98% complete, missing the closing break and a few moments where the signal dropped out at 3 points in the episode, less than 3 minutes are missing from the show total. RIP David.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the old Toby Tape, the episode is 100% complete. Riverfenix (Fenix TX) are making their only appearance on CLL. They prove to be solid guests, are fairly involved and flow well with the show. This is another caller heavy episode back to basics due to Dr. Bruce filling in for Dr. Drew.

From Wiki: Riverfenix is the first full-length album by Riverfenix, released on December 16, 1997 on Drive-Thru Records. Most of the album’s songs were re-recorded for Fenix TX (released by MCA and Drive-Thru Records), when Riverfenix was

CLL #903 (feat. Teen Reproductive Health Line) 03/16/1999 – Tuesday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016) with Tobydog Tape (2009) Patches

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the old Toby Tape. This episode is 100% complete, Diane, Brenda and Nicole from the Teen Reproductive Health Line all join the show after the first break. Adam and Drew have the guests explain how the Health Line works and they prove to be a nice audience for Adam’s comedy later in the show. Solid episode that is reminiscent of Condom Week 1997. Adam calls Dr. Drew out for cutting off the guests mid answer and the boys critique the previous night’s guest Janeane Garofalo and her identity politics/cultural relativism that she shared on the show.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired sources, the episode is 100% complete. This is Janeane’s first of two appearances on CLL, after being scheduled once or twice previously and ultimately not guesting on said episodes. Janeane proves to be a solid guest, very involved with the show and seemed to genuinely enjoy the comedy and participated in it as well. Janeane dispels the notion of “alternative comedy” and Adam shares the secondhand story from Margaret Cho about the time she was drunk and wanted to sleep with him. Janeane is in studio promoting ‘Feel This Book’ and believe it or not vows to never return to the show after her

This is a new export of the existing Toby Tape, the only known source. Nancy is making her 2nd appearance of the Adam Carolla era and final appearance on Classic Loveline. The episode is nearly 100% complete. Nancy brings up Rodney Bingenheimer and the dedication in his honor, later in the show they briefly discuss Elvis and his career. Nancy proves to be a solid guest, promoting her new album and the show has decent calls with the guys explaining things a little more than usual. A decent primer show for new listeners.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the old Toby Tape, the missing 20 minutes have been restored after 18 years of not existing. Dr. Drew is still in Washington State, Adam is in studio with the guys from the band, they’re fairly involved in the calls and end up being decent guests, which is hard to pull off when one of the hosts is remote. This is the only known appearance for the band, it’s unclear if they have any prior appearances but we do know they never came back during the Adam era. This episode is 100% complete.

CLL #897 (feat. Kottonmouth Kings) 03/08/1999 – Monday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016) with Tobydog Tape (2009) Patches

This is a brand new transfer of a never before shared tape source, with patches from the existing Tobydog Tape I transferred over 8 years ago. Adam describes this episode as having a weird energy, Dr. Drew is still in Seattle and the band are making their only appearance on the show. The episode is 100% complete, the show is missing two moments after the return to the show for the 2nd hour but they seem to have been purposely deleted by Engineer Mike. This recording also features a very rude bit of commentary from the local Arizona DJ during the 2nd song, so make sure to listen to it even if you don’t like
