In this episode of The GM Web3, the hosts Farokh and Mando cover a touch of macro and NFT updates. The macro picture is not looking great, with a push out in interest rates and a sell-off in equities and bonds. However, crypto is acting on its own will and speculation suggests it could outperform at this point. Big mints are happening, including MomoguroNFT, TheRVCollective, and an announcement from proof_xyz tomorrow. Illuviumio announced their card game is coming and $PRIME token from ParallelTCG launched yesterday. Overlord_xyz, a new gaming ecosystem with Creepz, is migrating their contract.
Raoul Pal with The Real Vision Collective talks about launching a platform that combines different communities to be more interconnected and benefit from each other. Leftover assets will be burned on Sunday, and collectors who collect all seasons, genesis and all rarities will be granted an elite "True Visionary" status. They also have collaborations with major communities and artists like Damien hhirst. Access to all token gated Real Vision content is granted through The Real Vision Collective Pass. Real Vision was created in 2014, aiming to democratize access to financial knowledge after living through the financial crisis. The goal is to educate and lift each other up, with a new platform launching in 2-3 months enabling people to live their financial lives. The episode ends with some Raoul rumors, including an upcoming appearance on @rektradio_ and a guest appearance by @farokh on Real Vision.

GM Web3 on March 1, we dove into macro, NFTs and more. The end of the month tends to mean the option market is loaded, and BTC is shy of 24k while ETH is at $1605, experiencing a dip. There is talk of Tik Tok getting banned in the US, which could mean a new US owner instead of the elimination of the platform. Marginal moves were seen across the top collections, with Apes settling at 70 eth, Pixlvault releasing new game mechanics, Creature world's Danny Cole doing an open edition, and MomoguroNFT mint incoming. Odyssey from Starbucks is set to go live on March 8th. @MetaMask announced the Unity asset store SDK, a huge move for mobile gaming. ParallelTCG released the long-anticipated Alpha version of the trading card game, and they also saw the $PRIME token released and start trading at a decent price. The question of whether market makers are bad for NFTs was discussed.
MoonieMooIO also joined the podcast to talk about the Herd, and how founder Keith is behind Bob the builder, Paw Patrol, and other successful children's television shows/IP. Moonie is an influencer, owns a luxury brand, has her own milk and is making major moooooves.

In the latest episode of Gm Web3 on Feb. 28, the hosts covered crypto and the NFT world. The episode began with a macro and NFT news update by OSF, who advised caution as crypto still has room for some downside compared to macro. Most coins were up at the start of the year, and despite the retracing, crypto is outperforming.
The NFT market is recovering from last week. We also touched on the gaming community, including Adam Weitsman's purchase of YugaLabs' Dookey Dash key for 1k eth from Mongraal. Yugalabs' Twelve Fold is their latest venture, an ordinal inscribed on Bitcoin with generative art consisting of 300 pieces.
Later in the episode, the Fair xyzzy team then discussed their mission to enable individuals to create their meta with all their available no-code tools and the creator-first mindset approach.
Finally, the hosts announced that listeners could collect stubs daily for listening to the show, and during the weekend, there would be a window to burn the stubs for a piece of art from the artist being highlighted that week. Additionally, Fair is hosting a massive drop featuring top women artists in the space to celebrate International Women's Day 2023 in March.

On this fine Thursday, GM Web3 reports live from Art Blocks X Ledger in Paris, featuring special guests and discussions on macro topics and NFTs. The recent FOMC minutes were brought up and how the community is in unison about slowly increasing rates. The crypto market has been shaky but has returned to similar levels, with $BLUR falling below $1. NFT collections are down around 2-3%, with speculations about $2 million being spent a day in Blur farming cycles.
The Bored Ape Sewer Pass "Toad Mode" went live and seems to be more difficult than the first version of the donkey dash.
Ledger has announced a browser extension that allows safe connections to Dapps and identifies scams, with plans to make it available on Safari and Chrome. John Karp, the founder/owner of NFT Factory Paris, discusses how he entered the NFT space, created a daily show, and developed a physical space to attract the masses. Ariel Wengroff highlights how Ledger has legitimized Paris as the hub for NFTs, embedding culture and art into a prime location.
This episode was really just a great vibe!

The first topic covered is the ongoing dispute between Blur and Opensea. The big subject today was two of the top BAYC holders, Mando and OSF, sold off their bored apes for over 6k ETH worth of assets, which didn't affect the floor's value due to the bidding war.
Meanwhile, the crypto market has seen a move down, in line with the macro market. Alt coins have seen a 10% drop, while the Chinese crypto market is booming. In other news, blur farming has made liquidity available for projects via bids. The traders still believe that the bored apes have room to run up to 100 Eth, even if ETH increases significantly.
Blur_io announced that loyalty will be rewarded for participants, and PacmanBlur doxxed yesterday and wrote a thread that dives into his past.
Opensea has ended its limited-time 0% market fees and has now moved to 0.5% fees. Finally, the continuation of the Bored Ape Sewer pass game with the Toad Mode activation is happening today.

Todays started by noting that markets were closed on Presidents' Day, but are back and down roughly 1.5% on both the S&P and Nasdaq. Interest rates are also selling off with 10-year yields at year-to-date highs, while crypto is lower and more volatile. The hosts caution listeners to be careful of volatile swings.
We discussed the crazy volumes happening in the market and the massive trades taking place at scale. Despite this, floors are trending down. They also note that whales may be the ones benefiting from the farming trading, and that there is plenty of liquidity for those who want to get out of something. The Blur Farming situation, which has created conflicting sentiment on the timeline. While some projects are seeing increased royalties being paid out as a result of the huge volumes, small projects and small bag holders are not benefiting.
The cancellation of the Proof of Conference received heavy backlash. Sponsors and sales data seem to be the tipping point, and refunds are said to be claimable for those who purchased. They also note that Friendsies has been declared an official rug, with their Twitter account being deleted. The hosts express disappointment that an established art brand with major connections would launch a project that turned out to be a rug.
Finally, the hosts welcome special guest OnChainMonkey and his team, who launched the first PFP collection on Ethereum that only required a single transaction for all of the assets. They also launched a 10k collection inscribed on Bitcoin, with Genesis and OCM Karma being the two entry points to the ecosystem. On chain monkey is stored on chain and ordinals on chain by design so it seems like a match made.

.
The hosts also talked about the current state of the cryptocurrency market, with traditional markets being closed for Presidents day and weak close on Friday. They discussed the strength of BTC and ETH, with many alt coins up north of 10%. The breakdown in correlation between crypto and traditional markets was also highlighted.
The SEC's recent action against Paxos, the creator of BSDC stablecoin, was discussed, which could have implications for stablecoins being classified as securities. This could have a massive effect on the DeFi system. The hosts also talked about the huge volumes going through different NFT projects, with old projects coming to the forefront and low-risk airdrop farming being the cause. The current state of the crypto market and the fact that the number of traders is not increasing is not great
The hosts also talked about the invite-only beta for @gemxyz and the rumors around the aggregator. They also discussed the recent 250 ETH sale of XCOPY, who vaulted a few pieces for himself. Finally, they congratulated Rug Radio on hitting 100k followers on Twitter and encouraged listeners to check out Rug Radio Official on Instagram.

Friday, February 17th! There were a ton of updates in the market and NFT space. One of the biggest volume days in NFTs in a while happened yesterday, with a $90 million day, the highest in the past 9 months. Low-quality high-volume trades are happening, and people are still farming. Blur did $63 million versus OpenSea doing $15 million, with whale accounts farming Blur rewards being the cause. @veefriends had an event/announcement involving a burn mechanic with 'burn island', and @PUMA is dropping a PFP collection. BendDAO token is pumping, with the amount being borrowed on the platform likely being directly related to the price of the token.
In other news, the new platform @escherxyz, focused on being a marketplace for editions and focused artist portfolios, is going live soon. Ordinals are up to over 123,000 inscriptions that have happened on the Bitcoin chain, and during the podcast, Farokh announces that there will be a huge event with him and @udiWertheimer involving the Taproot wizards and Rug Radio.
@rodarmor announced during the GM Web3 show that low-number inscribers will not be rugged and the numbers will remain the same, making blockchain history. @XCOPYART dropped two new 1/1 pieces and a third one during the show, while Rug Radio will be doing an event in collaboration with @yugalabs and @Improbableio at NFT Paris.

Today we discussed the performance of the traditional and cryptocurrency markets, with BTC nearing $25k and ETH touching $1700. They mention that alts are doing well and the tech analysis suggests that there is still room for growth. They also talk about the decrease in leverage in crypto and how this could lead to a healthier market.
We went through the NFT market and the high trading volume of Otherdeeds, Sewer passes, and Moonbirds. The Blur airdrop will sustain the effect and provide double rewards through March, but there may be more low-quality trading as a result. we then delved into Blur's new royalty structure, which could lead to the blocking of Opensea or denying the volume of Blur, putting the founders in a tough position.
The hosts share that GQ Magazine has partnered with Moonpay and artists to launch a new collection, "change is good," providing special access to events and physical items. They also talk about the upcoming NFT Paris event, where Pudgy Penguins and Rektguy will have events, and Rug Radio and Farokh will be present.
The hosts then briefly mention The Plague NFT's charity initiative on Polygon, which innovatively used frogs and announced that the Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta is set to go live on March 27, which is a significant development for scalability. The episode concludes with a summary of events that were discussed, providing a wealth of knowledge for cryptocurrency and NFT enthusiasts.
