Deepak Dutt, CEO of Zighra – Adaptive Behavioral Authentication for Electronic Devices Sep 13, 2017
    Show notes

The way you interact with your electronic devices is different from the way others interact with their devices. With the help of artificial intelligence, biometric analytics, and behavioral intelligence, Zighra can learn how specific people interact with their devices, and create implicit, invisible, and continuous authentication while those devices are in use. This can be done in as little as 15 interactions with any device that uses sensors, by analyzing more than 100 different unique user features. Everything is kept private on specific devices, and the chance of mistaking someone else for the device's intended user is extremely low. For more information, visit www.zighra.com.

Ken Seiff of Blockchange Ventures – venture capital for early-stage blockchain companies Sep 13, 2017
    Show notes

Blockchain has the power to disrupt many established businesses and industries, and Blockchange Ventures is always looking to invest in companies that have the ability to make a dent in the universe. Because blockchain technology can replace anything that requires an intermediary, industries such as credit cards, insurance, IDs, automobiles, and even housing are all vulnerable. However, other successful use cases may not even exist yet, meaning that Blockchange Ventures will always consider partnering with businesses that will provide short/medium-term results, have enterprises built on protocols, and applications that are in need of better user experiences. These companies should be better able to survive boom-and-bust cycles, which over time will become smaller and more stable. Ken also warns against creating tokens whose only purpose is to raise money, but wont be an integral part of the finished product, as they can remove value from the project.

Marco Peereboom–Project Lead at Decred–Cryptocurrency with community governance built into the blockchain Sep 13, 2017
    Show notes

Decred is a cryptocurrency that is dedicated to a more transparent form of governance. The goal is to balance the wishes of users and miners through a hybrid consensus system, allowing users more influence than they have with other cryptocurrencies. Users can submit voting proposals, which are written directly into the currency's blockchain, and those who have used Decred to purchase tickets have the opportunity to vote on proposals. Should the proposal pass, it triggers the new section of blockchain code to become active. Though there is the chance for bad actors to sway voting results, safeguards such as a finite number of coins and calling random tickets to vote on each proposal are designed to make this unlikely. Coming in the next year, Decred hopes to integrate the lightning network, allow for LiteCoin/Decred swaps, and signaling mechanisms for the proposal system.

Matt Spoke–CEO of Nuco – Blockchain infrastructure that allows autonomous blockchain interactions Sep 12, 2017
    Show notes

Blockchains can only reach their full potential when they are able to interact with each other autonomously. That's the driving idea behind Nuco. In order to achieve this, they are developing a blockchain that acts similarly to a router, called Aion. Through a system of nodes and bridges built on staking functions, Aion can signal one blockchain to react to another–for example, information input about medical insurance on one blockchain can trigger a billing request on another blockchain. Besides the medical insurance industry, this also has the potential to influence commodity trading, government work, and more. In the next year, they hope to have their first test network and further develop and mature their design. For more information, visit nuco.io.

Podcasting Tips and Tricks for Business Growth by Richard Jacobs Sep 11, 2017
    Show notes

Richard Jacobs, founder of Future Tech Podcast, talks about the lessons he's learned from creating 300 podcasts over the last 10 months, and how they can impact your business growth. If you've ever thought about starting your own podcast, either to help develop your business or for personal interest, here are some helpful tips and tricks. The most important thing is to play to your strengths–create podcasts about topics that interest you, and create a team to help you. If there is an aspect of podcasting that you are not great at, ask someone or create a team to help you. Recognize that both quality and quantity are important, each in different ways. Don't get hung up on technical perfection, but get as many podcasts done as you can. As you grow your platform, more people will agree to speak with you. Don't hesitate to ask for referrals. Finally, remember to show interest to your guests! They'll be easier to get to know and chat with, and can help you grow your podcast better than you can alone.

Thomas Glucksmann of GateCoin – A Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Token Exchange Sep 08, 2017
    Show notes

GateCoin is a cryptocurrency and blockchain token exchange based in Hong Kong that is designed for both individuals and institutional investors. They also advise groups wanting to create their own tokens, and help raise funds for token sales. Customers wishing to trade on the exchange can fund their accounts through fiat bank transfers in US Dollars, Euros, and Hong Kong Dollars, and the exchange is monitored and audited by security experts and government regulators. This creates some issues with US customers, as there are currently no federal regulators for cryptocurrencies, and GateCoin must deal with each state individually. As a result of this, residents of some states cannot participate. In the future, GateCoin looks to be able to have customers from all 50 US states. They are also looking to set up operations in Europe and SE Asia, implement payment channels, and create a token sale participation platform. For more information, visit www.gatecoin.com.

Rik Willard of Agentic Group on ICOs, Potential SEC Crackdown Sep 07, 2017
    Show notes

Founder and Director of Agentic Group, Rik Willard, sheds some light on what he'll be discussing at the upcoming Bitcoin, Ethereum and Blockchain SuperConference slated for this coming February: the impact of regulation on the future of ICOs. "There's a good chance SEC will come down on everything and everyone. If it looks and acts like a security, they're going to be focusing on those kinds of things," says Willard. If he's right, what aspect of the ICO movement will be most impacted, and in what way? How will the landscape change in terms of US token sales? These are just a couple of the questions that Willard addresses. "This space is very new," he says, which is all the more reason to tune in (and stay tuned in) for the very latest. Willard also discusses: A slice of insight into a project-in-the-making by Agentic Group The four types of value expressed by the tokens that are bifurcated from the ICO movement itself, and the role that each may play in the blockchain space How people can stay connected and on top of the latest from Agentic Group
