Token Report — Galen Moore, Founder and CEO — Financial Data Service about ICOs For Cryptocurrency Investors Dec 14, 2017
    Show notes

With 5-7 new ICOs being announced every day, not all of which manage to successfully raise the amount of money needed for their projects, potential investors need access to reliable information about upcoming and current ICOs. Enter Token Report, which is dedicated to not only bringing that information to potential investors but also works to help ICOs that are less well known but have a great potential reach a larger audience. They do this through the risk summary report that they developed, which looks at many different criteria–including whether or not tokens are securities as determined by the Howie Test, sale momentum, access to major exchanges and more. Token Report also provides basic information about tokens, such as the projects they are funding, the team, and whitepapers. Moore also discusses his thoughts on what is currently happening in the crypto-space right now–a somewhat difficult question, given how fast things change–and what he sees as the future of the industry. For more information, visit www.tokenreport.com.

Storj — Nadine Farah, Developer and Evangelist — Global Distributed Cloud Storage Infrastructure With End-To-End Encryption Dec 14, 2017
    Show notes

Storj (pronounced storage) is a distributed cloud storage infrastructure company whose goal is to make data storage more reliable and secure. Users upload their data, which is then encrypted. After encryption, the data is "sharded," or broken into tiny pieces. Each of those pieces is then sent to a network farmer to be stored all around the globe. Only the user has the key to decrypt the data, and only the user knows what the data being stored actually is. This system provides increased security over more traditional, centralized data storage solutions, as any potential hacker would need to locate all of the pieces, and then decrypt them. Individuals can become farmers through the Storj Share software, which allows them to decide how much space on their drives they want to set aside for storage, and they are rewarded with the Storj token. Over the next year, Storj has many milestones they are working on completing, including an archival system, a public web system, and the ability to decide which geographical regions your data gets stored in. For more information, visit www.storj.io.

Uledger — Josh Mciver, CEO and Co-Founder, and Taulant Ramabaja, CTO and Co-Founder — Blockchain Protocol Software That Can Independently Verify Data Integrity Dec 11, 2017
    Show notes

ULedger is a stateless blockchain overlay for existing technology infrastructure that was developed in order to help companies assert and prove the integrity of their data at any point in time, by allowing for independent verification of the order of important events due to date stamping. Through a patent-pending cross-merkelization process, companies are able to anchor the validity of their data with other servers or companies, thereby providing tamper-proof verification of data. You can anchor your data to any number of blockchains you choose, and there is no need to use public blockchains at all–simply use the closest ULedger chain instead. This can be used for any use case where decisions are made based on data integrity, where a repository of data is needed, or where smart contracts or document management systems are needed. For example, this technology is used by the City of Boise, in conjunction with utility companies, and home buyers and sellers, to determine who is responsible for partial utility payments from both parties after closing on a home. Currently, ULedger is holding a pre-sale for their token, which will end soon, and will be holding an ICO around the end of Q1 2018. For more information, visit www.uledger.co.

Bee Token — Jonathan Chou, CEO — Decentralized Vacation Rental Platform Utilizing Ethereum Smart Contracts Dec 11, 2017
    Show notes

Bee Token's goal is to build a decentralized vacation rental and home sharing platform, similar to AirBNB, but without any of the middlemen or large commissions that are retained by the platform. In this way, Bee Token hopes to give more control and rewards back to those people who make such marketplaces a success, the homeowners, and renters themselves. Using a different tokenization revenue model, fees are not charged if users pay in Bee Token. A 1% fee is charged for using Bitcoin or Ethereum, in order to trade it back to Bee Token cryptocurrency, and 4% for fiat currency, to cover credit card processing. Payment processing is done using Ethereum-based smart contracts so that Bee Token never directly touches your payment. Customer service and conflict resolution will also be decentralized, with a decentralized website coming in the near future. Bee Token will start with rentals in San Francisco, and within a year plan to branch out to New York and Los Angeles. Private testing is underway, with a public beta by the end of December 2017 or beginning of January 2018. Due to strategic partnerships, they will have thousands of listings available as soon as they launch. For more information, visit www.thebeetoken.com.

Capitalise — Shahar Rabin, CEO — Using Natural Language To Automate Your Trading Strategies Dec 11, 2017
    Show notes

Capitalise's goal is to democratize trading, by giving individuals and day traders the ability to automate their trades. Large trading institutions already possess the ability to automate their trades. However, this is not always possible for independent day traders, due to a lack of knowledge or money. Capitalise allows its users to write sentences about the trades they would like to make, and the platform translates those into automated trading commands that are carried out when specific conditions chosen by the user are met. Sentences, and therefore trading commands, can be as simple or complex as the user chooses. It has been challenging to build this platform, as it needs to be able to seamlessly support an unknown number of trades, whose commands are not known in advance, and security is a top priority. Capitalise will soon be releasing a business-to-consumer solution for crypto trading, as well as looking into making their technology available to other industries. For more information, visit www.capitalise.ai.

Cryptiv — Mat Cybula, CEO — Blockchain Based Enterprise Wallet System and Private Portfolio Dec 07, 2017
    Show notes

Cryptiv has created an enterprise wallet system that allows financial institutions to trade, manage, and store digital assets. They have made changes to their wallet over the last year, in order to provide better security for users. Security features in their multi-signature wallet system include limits on the amount of assets that can be traded at any time and limits on the addresses that users can send assets to, through the use of white and black labels. Within the next year, they plan to begin licensing their wallet system to financial institutions. Cryptiv has used their technology to manage their own private portfolio of digital assets, and because of better-than-expected returns, are considering opening up to other investors. Their portfolio includes 12-15 tokens at any given point of time, and are broken down into "blue chip" tokens such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as more speculative smaller ICOs. Having been in the financial industry for some time, Mat also gives us his opinions on the 2018 crypto markets. For more information, visit www.cryptiv.com.
