FR Ep #134 How to Listen to Your Inner Voice with Lydia Dean Feb 13, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap guest Lydia Dean, co-founder of gophilanthropic.org, shares how she learned to listen to her inner voice and how that dramatically changed the trajectory of her family’s life. Lydia, now in midlife, looks back over her 20 year journey and brings practical steps to help us learn how to listen to our inner voice aside from the external pressures and expectations. She encourages listeners to take a courageous journey, one that may be difficult, different, uncomfortable and most likely unknown. Instead she challenges us with, “Don’t accept not knowing as an excuse for not doing.” While everyone’s journey is different and the paths we take are nothing alike, she points us to listen to our inner voice and break the barriers between the life we’re living and the life that could be truer to who we are. Sure taking this journey to heed that inner voice, follow your dreams and life path might bring up fear and vulnerability but Lydia asks us to ask ourselves a couple of key questions, “Why should I fly beneath my radar? What am I holding back on?” We are not asked to figure it all out at step one, just take the first step you can see. The first step? Grab a cuppa something wonderful and listen in as Lydia shares practical strategies and real life examples of how those strategies may look. FR Ep #133 How to Make Sense of Life When It Doesn't Make Sense with Keisha Blair Feb 10, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap guest Keisha Blair shares her story of how to make sense of life when it doesn’t make sense. Tragedy struck when Keisha’s husband died suddenly 8 weeks after their second child was born and everything she knew changed in an instant. This life altering set back put her on a path to find a way to make sense of the tragedy, one that didn’t even make sense to the doctors, to find her path back to wholeness again. Keisha decided to take a one year sabbatical from her job, move to an island and take the time to navigate through her grieving process. The lessons she learned from taking a step back and stepping away, trusting her intuition to guide her, ended up being the foundation to making sense of life when it no longer made sense. Keisha encourages listeners traveling a rocky, confusing road to not abandon the mess and to remember that the situation is temporary, that it doesn’t have to define you. She says, “When you go through something like that, where you think ‘Wow’, it just blows you away and it shatters your world…you really have to take a step back, to think about it. What do I now? And what have I just really gone through?” When you’ve gone through it, it may seem like it has defined you, it doesn’t have to. It will get better and change and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. So if you find yourself in the midst of trying to make sense of your life and figuring out how to walk in your purpose, grab a cuppa something wonderful, listen in and trust the process. www.feminineroadmap.com/episode 133/
