FR Ep #155 How To Own Your Story with Linda A. Olson Apr 27, 2020
    Show notes

Today’s episode of Feminine Roadmap is all about owning your story with guest Linda A. Olson. Linda is on a mission to impact a million people a year through helping them uncover, create and tell their story. It took Linda years to not only own her story but to even recognize that she had one to tell! One of her most powerful takeaways that she wants to share with us is that staying stuck in our story comes at a very high cost but that doesn’t have to be our fate. Linda walks listeners through the three main types of story and the steps to begin to unlock those stories so that we can move forward in life and deepen our connection with others. Story is the fastest way to connect with others because it creates a way for us to relate to one another through our common human experience. Have no fear, telling your story isn’t about writing a memoir or baring your deepest, darkest secrets to the world, Linda actually helps show you how you can tell about one impactful experience in 2 min or less because it’s not about the journey, it’s about the impact it had on your life. So the purpose of sharing a piece of your life’s journey is actually to identify with and help someone else in their lives through strategic key parts of your own story. As you share that transformational moment and identify with the pain, with the sadness, with whatever it may be, the big thing is knowing the need of your audience, what it is that they are facing and when you share your authentic journey with them, you’ve just connected. If sharing your story is something you’ve wanted to do but have been afraid to start, Linda takes all of the fear out of the process and gives you a simple map for your storytelling journey walking with you every step of the way. Let today be the first day in your storytelling journey, just grab a cuppa something wonderful, a journal and a pen then click play! We’ll see you there! www.feminineroadmap.com/episode155/

FR Ep #154 From Chaos To Clarity with Kathleen O'Keefe Kanavos Apr 23, 2020
    Show notes

In this episode of Feminine Roadmap Gina and her guest, Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos discuss moving from chaos to clarity, the journey of transformational change. We all have experienced some sort of chaos in our lives whether the chaos happened to us or we brought it into our own lives, either way the solution lies in our ability to not only become aware of the pattern but to move through the chaos and make it to the other side. When we use what we’ve learned from our past experience we can pave the path to clarity, having faith that there is another way and forgiving ourselves so that we can shift from chaos to clarity. Using the analogy of pearls, Kathleen draws a picture of the chaos in our lives as irritating grains of sand that through time can actually be transformed into pearls, those pearls are our triumph over the trials and the chaos that become necklace or reminder of the beauty that has come from our struggles. The clarity is the result of pressing through the chaos so it can be transformed into something beautiful and useful in our lives. The nuggets of knowledge we gain are the beginning of the greater picture. If you want to move from chaos to clarity in your own life, grab a cuppa something wonderful and join in our conversation at www.feminineroadmap.com/episode154/

FR Ep #153 How Will We Show Up Post Covid Roundtable Conversation Apr 20, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap Gina has brought together an amazing and diverse group of women to form a virtual roundtable to talk about what each of them has learned from the Covid 19 quarantine and what we can do to take the best of what we’ve learned forward into our post-quarantine lives. There are a lot of conversations about Covid 19, our desire is to contribute to the Covid 19 conversation with a message of hope and gratitude, with intention and vision for a better world. These women share where they were when they realized how serious this was, what their quarantine experience has been like and how they see it being a vehicle for positive change in their lives as well as their worlds. Looking at the Covid 19 quarantine through a positive lens – shifting from fear to love, from lack to the gift, from being so busy running on a hamster wheel to slowing down and being able to rest and reset- these women open up from a vulnerable place to share their hearts and their very real struggles. One of the powerful ideas to come from our virtual time together was the theme of community and connection, how this global experience has shrunk the world down to show us how much we really are alike no matter our background. This episode is a message of hope, resilience and trusting process. Please grab a cuppa something wonderful, get your favorite cozy clothes on and have a virtual listening party with your girlfriends then share your own ideas about what the Covid 19 quarantine has been teaching you and how you would like to see your world change in light of it. FR Ep #152 The Power of Honest Medicine with Julia Schopick Apr 16, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap we talk about the power of honest medicine, treatments that your doctor may not tell you about time-tested, inexpensive treatments for life-threatening diseases. When guest Julia Schopick’s husband was diagnosed with cancer she found herself face to face with the challenge of choosing how to treat her husband’s cancer. Unsure of what was best, unaware of other options Julia felt she had to say yes to a surgery that didn’t quite feel right resulting in severe damage to her husband’s brain. That traumatic event led her on her own personal journey to find a treatment to turn her husband’s prognosis and new health challenges around. Through a series of introductions and even her own research, Julia met experts who became her husband’s help and champions helping him to far exceed his original prognosis by 12 years. This experience inspired her to write 2 books around the research, treatments and experts behind them in hopes of helping empower others who are facing a cancer diagnosis or autoimmune disease to become informed about all of their treatment choices. One of Julia’s greatest pieces of advice is to arm yourself with information, know who is funding the information you consume, and learn to separate the wheat from the chaff then make the decision that is best for you and your loved one. Understanding everyone’s body and needs are different, Julia offers her personal perspective and story without judgement, for your arsenal of health tools. If you or a loved one want to learn more about the power of honest medicine and the alternative options that are out there to treat cancers and autoimmune disease, this episode is here as a resource. FR Ep #151 Navigating Transition with Confidence with Dr Cheri McDonald Apr 13, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap Gina and guest, Dr. Cheri McDonald, discuss empowering ourselves to navigate change with confidence. By the time we reach midlife we have navigated change hundreds of times using different skills and mindsets, oftentimes without any real knowledge of how to go about it. Dr. Cheri encourages women in midlife to step up to the plate of transition with confidence knowing that they have the power and wisdom within to not only face transition but conquer it with aplomb. Sometimes transition can feel like a midlife crisis when it’s really just an unraveling, a shift to a new season where the world is calling us out to a life of influence and impact. Dr. Cheri shares strategies that help us to start where we are at, taking small meaningful steps daily with consistent practice and effort. Navigating transition may trigger fear for many of us but taking the time to slow down, quiet our minds, listen and get curious about what it is that is making us fearful of change is an empowering way to flip the script and rewrite the stories we tell ourselves. If you find yourself facing a transition and you’re struggling to figure out how to transition well, grab a cuppa something wonderful and join in on the conversation! www.feminineroadmap.com/episode151/

FR Ep #150 How To Squeeze More Life Out of Time with Diane Cashin Apr 09, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap Gina and her guest, Diane Cashin, are talking about how to squeeze more life out of time. Often people talk about time management but time is a resource that once it is used, it is gone so how do we squeeze more life out of time? Diane encourages listeners to wake up each day and spend the first 5 minutes setting our intention for the day, choosing how we want to show up, what we want to accomplish and then create memorable moments all day long. Life is a series of choices and each choice is essentially a squeeze that serves us or a squeeze that takes away from us. Living life soul, mind and body by being present in living moments right now is key, the answers for how our life should be lived lies within us not in the opinions of others. Surrounding ourselves with supportive, loving people who step up when we need them (and vice versa) allows us to get a positive squeeze of life because it eliminates drama, resentment and emotional drain. Consider what an extraordinary life is for you and then take tiny steps, creating small extraordinary moments and decision along the way then you will find you are naturally squeezing more life out of your time. FR Ep #148 Learn to Trust Yourself with Margie Warrell Apr 02, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap Gina and her guest, Margie Warrell, talk about the life changing power of trusting yourself. Over the years of serving women through conferences, coaching and retreats, Margie has found that many women doubt themselves too much, trust themselves too little and sell themselves short too often. She challenges listeners to begin with the decision not to let fear and doubt run our lives but instead develop the mindset of giving ourselves permission today to do something even if it turns out poorly. It’s in the starting that the learning, growing and mastering comes as well as the trust we so desperately crave. What does it cost us to settle for the default path, never daring to take the path that beckons us? Challenging our fears is the first act of courage we take in learning to trust ourselves instead of the stories we have made agreement with, then getting present with the truth of who we are and what we’re capable of. Margie believes as we take action in the presence of that fear and self-doubt, we find that self-trust as we act in faith each step of the way. Give yourself permission to start today, question your fears and trust yourself to make the next right move.
