FR Ep #194 We're Not Done Rediscovering Purpose After Retirement with Erica Baird & Karen Wagner Oct 19, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap, Gina talks with two dynamic retired lawyers, Erica Baird and Karen Wagner, who have stuck their flag in the sand with their declaration, “We’re NOT done yet!” Erica and Karen spent years as modern career women, leading teams, defending clients and being at the top of their game. Once they retired, they not only felt a sense of loss but they found that the world seemed to move on and forget about them. This difficult transition led them to sit down together on a park bench and make a decision that they were NOT done, that they still had so much to offer, and they would find a new purpose in their new season of life. This critical park bench conversation became Lustre.net , a blog that redefines retirement for modern career women by confronting outdated concepts, defying stereotypes and raising their collective voices to ensure that retirement for all of us is shaped by women for women. Erica and Karen both share how they navigated that transition as a team to carry out this vision which required learning a whole new set of skills. They want listeners to know that they can have confidence knowing that when you do retire (or if you are already retired) you will achieve what you set out to accomplish because you know how to work, you know how to learn, and you know how to put things together. Your lifetime of experience has equipped you for success in this new journey, the possibilities truly are endless. Grab a cuppa something wonderful, a good friend and join us for this empowering, paradigm shifting conversation! www.feminineroadmap.com/episode194/

    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap Gina is talking about how to honor your unfolding in midlife. So much life has happened at this point and many of us find ourselves feeling like maybe life isn’t what we expected it to be. Unfolding is our lives process of revealing or disclosing itself, becoming clearer and it is a continual process throughout our lives. Something about midlife brings this process to the forefront and we become acutely aware of the desire for change, evolution, maybe even metamorphosis in one or maybe more areas of our lives. Gina has found that her own lifelong process of unfolding has been guided by a set of repeatable steps that helped her stay the course of intentional living. Early in her 20’s, Gina realized that she had to face the fact that she struggled with anger which lead her to find help to overcome her anger. It was through that process that she developed these steps that have served her well as she has navigated myriads of difficulties and challenges in each season of her life. She believes that resisting and avoiding the process of unfolding only causes us more pain and suffering so today she shares 4 steps you can take to begin to lean into this beautiful process of unfolding that reveals the truer version of you, the more aligned, mature and gracious version of you. Jerica wants to flip the script about online dating from negative and frustrating to seeing it as a fun and useful tool to meet new and interesting people, most of whom will not be the right match for you but that’s ok! FR Ep #187 How to Be Your Own Hero with Kelly Fuhlman Aug 31, 2020
    Show notes

Today on Feminine Roadmap guest Kelly Fuhlman, author of “Be the Hero and Rescue Yourself: Creating the Inner Courage to Wear Your Own Cape and Step into Your Purpose”, shares her message that you truly can be your own hero.
Kelly’s life experiences have taught her that while you truly can be your own hero sometimes it’s ok to ask for help and that identifying your purpose comes from within not from the outside world. She explores what a hero looks like, how every hero takes a different journey of courage and why we need to be our own hero. Oftentimes we find ourselves living our lives from false limitations either from our own beliefs or the beliefs of those around us. One of the first steps to becoming your own hero is to forgive yourself for the ways you’ve failed, struggled or lost time which empowers you to get back up, dust off your cape and step into your purpose. Kelly asserts that sometimes life doesn’t look like we think it should or want it to but learning to embrace the place you are as a stop on the journey not the destination is a powerful way to take back your power. During these unprecedented times, everyone has experienced some kind of unexpected loss and transition, this episode is a timely message of hope and encouragement for those who are struggling. Grab a cuppa something wonderful, your best cape and join us to talk about how to be your own hero. www.feminineroadmap.com/episode187/
