    EP.127 | Jeff and Derz - Campfire: The Aftermath Feb 21, 2019
    Show notes

Jeff (@iamjeffthornton) & Derz (@coachderz) caught up after two intensive evenings brainstorming and masterminding with some great minds and amazing athletes on a mission to leave the world in better shape than when they found it.

Kyle Mauch's (@kylemauch) Campfire Summit is a platform in which professional athletes sit in on forums designed to stimulate proactive thinking, expose blindspots, create opportunity, and ultimately teach each other how to maximize their platforms for the greatest impact possible.

Jeff and Derz sit down today to rehash some of the amazing topics navigated and lessons learned from these athletes, managers, agents, philanthropists, investors, & marketers culminating in an amazing event called Karts & Guitars: a charity event that raised over $300,000 benefitting Striking Out Poverty (@strikingoutpoverty).

Huge shout out to our Feed Me Fuel Me (@feedmefuelme) alum, Kyle who's impact is making positive waves in the world as we know it! Thank you for all the good you're putting into the universe!

EP.126 | Jeff & Derz - Inner Circle & Self-Identity: Transcending Your Old Self to Become Who You Want to Be Feb 14, 2019
    Show notes

"Inner Circle & Self-Identity: Transcending Your Old Self to Become Who You Want to Be"

Derz is dropping his next book, "Inner Circle: Focus and Fulfillment Habits of the Enlightened", on Amazon next week! This week we get deep into the self-identity, a reoccurring theme in our discussions with our badass guests, and also a huge them in his forthcoming book.

Jeff (@iamjeffthornton) & Derz (@coachderz) dive down the rabbit hole about the transition that occurs as we evolve from one level to the next in life. We discuss examples of our own journeys in which our growth was stunted due to an inability to leave our old selves behind. Another huge element of awareness and progress is using the lessons learned in failure to propel us forward rather than holding ourselves back by dwelling on the mistakes of the past.

It was cool to sit down and shed some light on our lives and the evolution that was required to get us to this point. Although we come from different backgrounds, both of us have gone through many battles with self-identity, and we hope that the stories of our respective paths resonates, and helps you shed the skin of your old self so that the person you want to be, and are becoming, has your permission to shine!

Shoot us an email at info@feedmefuelme.com to stay up to date with my book and the other dope projects we are building out for 2019 and beyond!!

Thanks for joining us. We appreciate the opportunity to Empower Your Journey this week, as we do each and every week!

    Show notes

Jason Phillips (@jasonphillips_iN3) caught himself with -$27 in his account while shopping for Thanksgiving dinner 5 years ago. In the aftermath of this moment, he realized that his success had been inhibited because he gave credence to too many "gurus" that told him his idea would never work. Seeking the approval of others prior to taking action on his vision was crippling his progress.

His passion is to change the world. His platform is nutrition coaching. His mission is to positively affect 1 Billion people through his company iN3 Nutrition (@in3nutrition) and the Nutritional Coaching Institute. Since that day five years ago, Jason has consciously gone his own way. He has created a company that not only explores the best nutrition practices for longevity, aesthetics, and performance but also helps his tribe decipher the "people equation". According to Jason, the number one thing missing in the space is connection.

Hop in on this conversation and explore Jason's journey from career stagnation, to self-fulfillment and purpose. We dive in on his battle with an eating disorder, to what sets the NCI mission and curriculum apart from the others, to giving a speech at his Mastermind retreat that gave a server the freedom to quit his job on the spot and pursue his dream.

On multiple occasions, he has battled with depression and addiction to pain medication. Today we get real with Chris in an exclusive conversation about the ups and downs that come with success and how he overcame adversity with the accountability of his inner circle!

Here's a hint: it starts with the first 15 minutes of his day!

    EP.120 | Cynthia Sassi - Fabulous Arizona Jan 03, 2019
    Show notes

As an entrepreneur, there is an unspoken rule that you do you have to do until you can simply do what you want to do. Sometimes that means putting rent on a credit card. Sometimes that means trying to convince your boss to trust you to bring them out of the Stone Age of print media into the present online. Sometimes it means making up your job description by saying yes to every task thrown your way because your skill set can't be put any one box. Sometimes it means doing a lot of shit for free! That is just part of Cynthia Sassi's (@cynthiasassi) journey. She took a chance internship as a requirement to complete her degree and that lead her down a path of networking and creation, and ultimately the launch of Fabulous Arizona (@fabulousarizona), an online lifestyle publication highlighting the best the Grand Canyon State has to offer. Cynthia saw the way ahead, long before her previous employers. So much so, that after meeting enough resistance to change, she decided to do it on her own, her way. She showed up. Often times to 4-5 events in single evening. Promoting her company and brand. Unknown to anyone on the red carpet in the beginning. Not sure if it was ever going to really work out. However, she experienced just enough success for her rationalize in her mind the continuation of what seemed to be a passion project. Now those same red carpet events she used to hustle and smile her way into, make sure they are on the list of places to be in FabAZ. In her words, "If you want to be an entrepreneur, you better really passionate. Because there will be some tough days." And in Cynthia's case, long nights! Listen to Cynthia's journey of persistence in creating something she believed in when everyone in her life was telling her to give it up and get a real job! EP.081 | Sam Floyd - Operation Coffee Jan 26, 2018
    Show notes

"Coffee is a product favoring sociability, friendship, and conversation and it should always be consumed with someone else." - Ernesto Illy • Feed Me Fuel Me (@feedmefuelme) episode 081 with Sam Floyd - Operation Coffee • It's amazing what can happen over a cup of coffee. Just ask our guest this week on Feed Me Fuel Me (@feedmefuelme), Sam Floyd (@operationcoffeeguy). Sam has been on quite the journey, and that is putting it lightly. As an infantry Marine, he as seen the worst of humanity. As a combat veteran, Sam battled PTSD for years. He would mask his suicidal ideations by lying about how well he was doing. Unbeknownst to those closest to him, Sam was in a very dark place. As a result of his inability to effectively cope with his demons, Sam lost a marriage, and sabotaged other relationships and opportunities. After relocating from the desert oasis of Scottsdale, back to his midwest roots in Wisconsin, Sam would turn to the bottle, trying to drink his problems away. One fateful day, over a cup of coffee with a friend, he was simply asked, "What do you want to do?" The answer was easy, "I don't want people to feel as alone as I have felt." In that moment, Operation Coffee was born. Using coffee as the vehicle to have the hardest, most challenging conversations with comfortable ease, Sam is on a mission to drive awareness to veteran suicide. Operation Coffee is his platform and is a beacon for those, civilian and veteran alike, who are going through hard times to better cope with their stress. Operation Coffee isn't about the coffee. No, it is an outlet, providing awareness through the deep, meaningful conversations and relationships that result over a cup of coffee. We are honored to share Sam's journey with you this week in support of all that he as overcome, as he uses coffee as the vehicle to make a difference. We thank Sam for his authenticity and vulnerability. So brew yourself cup of your favorite roast, have a seat and enjoy what can happen over a simple cup of coffee! • https://operationcoffee.com/our-mission.html • Let us know how you enjoyed this episode.
