The Birthday Show Sep 19, 2017
    Show notes

This show is being uploaded two days before my favorite day of the year … my own personal holiday and a cause for celebration. Yes, it is my Birthday. September 21a date that will live on and on thanks to Earth Wind and Fire’s classic, September (listen to the first show).

Join Jean and I and my bestie Tawanna as we discuss birthdays, how we celebrate, why some people don’t and why aging gets such a bad rap. After all, if we’re lucky, we all will get older and there are benefits to it.

Listen and stop by the website to read the birthday blog: http://www.funfeistyfab.com/birthday-time-lets-celebrate-or-not/

    School Rules Sep 12, 2017
    Show notes

Long gone are the days of my father, when you could work your way thorough school. I don’t even think it is possible to prepare for college like my parents prepared for me, with a growing college savings account that started when I was an infant.

Kids are graduating today and putting off home ownership and marriage because they can’t afford anything besides paying off a Herculean college loan debt. Is it possible to pay for a college education without stressing out parents and starting a college graduate with a mountain-sized debt load?

Beverly Horton may have some answers. Her oldest is currently in graduate school and her youngest is starting her second year with a 50% athletic scholarship and a 50% academic scholarship.

Not everyone can do what Bev did, but she may have some ideas that might help you right where you are right now.

What Ever Happened to Tolerance and Acceptance? Sep 05, 2017
    Show notes

Jean and I have a frank discussion about how tolerance and acceptance have too often been replaced by intolerance, disapproval and rejection. We discuss our experiences by tackling two big subjects, religion and politics.

As a Buddhist, Jean has heard all too often, that she is on the wrong path or is going to hell. She is not proselytizing or trying to beat people over the head with her views, yet people continually offer their opinion on her choices.

Even though I need to lose weight, I have to do it my way. Well meaning family and friends aren’t helping me by trying to shove their (successful) weight loss efforts down my throat. I need to do it my way and that should be okay.

Unleash Your Sparkle Aug 22, 2017
    Show notes

If you listen to the podcast to the end, you will know that I am all about sparkle and shine. So when I learned that the name of Sherri Nickol’s website was Unleash Your Sparkle, I know, I mean, I just knew I had to have her as a guest. Everyone sparkles and shines, it’s just that sometimes we get lost and or sparkle dulls and the shine ceases.

Listen to Sherri, Jean and I talk about reigniting your shine. It starts with loving yourself but there is more, so much more.

    Let's Talk about Sex Aug 15, 2017
    Show notes

Did you know that women over 40 don’t want sex? And that no one wants sex with a 40+ woman? Did you know that once women cross the over 40 threshold move from sexy to frumpy? According to conventional wisdom, these statements are true. Yet, if you balked or downright laughed out loud then you know the truth. These are myths; over exaggerations and old wives’ tales masquerading as the truth. The danger comes when you hear them enough you begin to believe them, ever so subtly they seep into your consciousness and infiltrate your thoughts and your actions. And, they shouldn’t! So, we are going on an adventure … a myth-busting adventure. Over the next few episodes, we’ll bust some of the myths surrounding women over 40 in career, health, diet, and today, sex.

    • Does perimenopause or menopause kill your sex drive?
    • Do 40+ woman stop wanting sex?
    • Is dating impossible as you get older?
Listen and find out! Head over to the Fun. Feisty. Fab! Facebook page (www.facebook.com/funfeistyfab) to share your thoughts and stories.

Unleashing Your Inner Superhero Aug 08, 2017
    Show notes

Orion Talmay, coach and fellow podcaster, shows women how to walk into their own power and own their feminine essence. What I love about her is that she also talks about unveiling your inner superhero. Whether you are a Wonder Woman, a Supergirl, a Storm or some kind of new superhero, you can use Orion’s Method to become more powerful, more passionate and more of you.

Orion and I had a great conversation about how we can all live our best lives. Even if you have no desire to be a superhero, Orion discusses ORION's Method which any woman can use to lead a life filled with passion, health, and your feminine essence. Your dreams and desires are all attainable and within your grasp!

Living Large in 90 sq ft Jul 25, 2017
    Show notes

Look around your house. Take a good look. Nice sized kitchen, roomy bedroom, spacious closet, comfortable bedroom. Now imagine paring all of that down to fit into a 90 square foot space. All of your clothes, knick knacks, books, collectibles, etc. into 90 square feet.

How large is 90 feet. Think of the average non-master bedroom. It’s roughly 9 x 12 feet which is 108 square feet. Imagine that is all the space you have. Felice Cohen grew up in and had her own spacious digs but she decided to downsize and ended up in a 90 foot space with 77 boxes in storage. After several years, she was still in her small space and had zero boxes in storage.

It is possible. Even if you have no desire to live a minimalist lifestyle, you can live with less clutter and a little more organization … it’s easier than you think.

    You Need a Break ... Jul 18, 2017
    Show notes

Jean and I are finishing up our FFF hiatus this week. So, I created this quick show to talk about taking time off. We’ll discuss why people don’t take the time they’ve earned and why they should. You may be surprised at how few people actually use their vacation days. Almost half of those who do, check their email while on vacay!

Vacation, staycation, mental health day, hiatus, whatever you call it, you need it. Burnout is real and a lack of productivity is the result of working too long and too hard. So time off is a good thing, not just for you personally but professionally too.

**Technically, Jean and I are on a two-week hiatus but I recorded to short shows (about 15 minutes each) to tide you over until we return. This is the second, and final, of those shows.**
