    Kylee Simmons is off to a fast start for Tennessee Soccer, already notching three goals and two assists in her first seven appearances and helping the Lady Vols climb into the top 10 of the national rankings.


    But Simmons’ impact at Tennessee was anything but certain, as the fifth year had not played soccer in 683 days before making her Rocky Top debut. The West Chester, Ohio, native suffered back-to-back season-ending injuries between her junior year at Missouri and her senior year at Tennessee.


    But those setbacks didn’t just set the stage for a major comeback this season, they provided Simmons with a new and invaluable mindset that has led allowed her to become a team leader and find renewed purpose beyond soccer.


    In this episode of Everything Orange, host Sarah Detwiler and Simmons discuss that remarkable journey to recovery and the impact its made on Tennessee Soccer.

    Fresh off an appearance as an amateur at the 2026 Masters Tournament, and with NCAA postseason play starting next week, sophomore men’s golf standout Jackson Herrington joins the Everything Orange podcast.


    The Dickson, Tennessee, native qualified for The Masters — as well as the upcoming 2026 U.S. Open — after finishing as runner-up at the U.S. Amateur Championship in the summer of 2025. Herrington and host Sarah Detwiler recount his experience playing at storied August National Golf Club alongside some of the world’s best golfers and how that experience will shape his approach to he U.S Open Championship in June.


    But before Herrington makes his way to Southampton, New York, he’ll be looking to help the 16th-ranked Vols make a run at a national title. NCAA Regional play begins next week and Herrington enters the postseason ranked second on the team in stroke average, with a pair of top-10 finishes to his name.

    With baseball season in full swing, Sarah Detwiler sits down with Tennessee baseball’s Landon Mack on this week’s Everything Orange podcast. In his first year on Rocky Top, the sophomore pitcher has already started nine games and has notched a team-high 64 strikeouts. The two look at Mack’s go-to hype song, favorite athletes, and the stadium he one day dreams of pitching in.


    From there, they look at Tennessee’s 24-12 start and life in SEC play, reflecting on the adversity the team has faced and the resilience they’ve built. From tough losses to a statement sweep over a top-10 team on the road, he breaks down what’s clicking, the confidence this group is gaining, and the mindset heading into the second half of the season.


    Detwiler and Mack also dive into the pitching staff, highlighting a competitive group that always pushes each other.
