Sam Wilson was born in a rural town in Kentucky, raised by a mom and granny who renamed him after an orphan from a TV movie of the week. The waves of just six channels survived the long journey to a remote rustic home betwixt fields of corn and tobacco. There wasn't much to do other than doodle, play with wooly worms, and pretend all branches were divining rods. With calligraphy, Sam found a style where his aspirations push against limitations.
