5-star TE Ahmad Hudson says Nebraska told him they’d change the whole offense for him if he committed to the Huskers…have you ever heard that about a tight end? Jun 08, 2026

Show notes

-Hudson told Rivals this weekend that he was impressed by his visit to Nebraska and that they never stopped recruiting him even after

he committed to LSU…and that Nebraska said they’d “change the whole offense for him” if he ended up in Lincoln

-That comment was greeted with cynicism on the message boards—particularly by non-Nebraska schools---about the idea of changing

the offense for a freshman…and a tight end, at that. So…what exactly would that look like hypothetically?

Show notes

-The buzz is strong about 2027 and beyond for Husker recruiting, but it’s important to still win in 2026 to keep those recruits here…and

Colandrea is the man who will get the call at QB. On a podcast recently, Colandrea was asked to self-evaluate himself and said his

strengths are making plays outside the pocket, ability to make plays with his legs, and a strong arm to go downfield

-His weaknesses? Getting outside the pocket and not seeing guys crossing the field or going downfield…
