There’s a guy that no on really ever talks about on Nebraska’s football roster that probably deserves some praise Jun 10, 2026
    Show notes

-Husker Online has been doing their Top 5 lists of players in the B1G the last few weeks, and Nebraska has had no one to be

seen—until yesterday when Justin Evans was listed as the league’s 4 th best center

-Did people know he allowed zero sacks last season on Nebraska’s offensive line? We hardly ever hear from him but he’s a success

    story.

If you were hoping for a great non-conference slate for Nebrasketball after an epic season, prepare for disappointment Jun 10, 2026
    Show notes

-Nebraska announced yesterday that they’ll place Butler in Chicago on November 22 nd at the United Center, one week after playing

Boise State in Sioux Falls. With games scheduled in neutral sites with Boise State, Butler and Providence, the non-conference isn’t

    horrible---but there’s just one problem..

-The problem is that the home slate is just awful for non-conference. Home games vs. Le Moyne, Lindenwood, South Dakota, Mount St.

Mary’s, New Haven, and FDU is all to show for before conference play---and even the Creighton game is on the road

Who’s on the hot seat entering 2026 in college football? Mike Farrell lists a few names… Jun 09, 2026
    Show notes

-Mike Farrell (FarrellSports.com) put out his list of hottest seats in college football and listed Baylor’s Dave Aranda as the No. 1 spot in that

category---followed by Derek Mason (Middle Tennessee State); Mike Norvell (Florida State); and Mike Locksley (Maryland) among others

Dana Holgorsen’s job in 2026 is to make the offense much better than what it was last year with a worse QB (on paper) than what he had last season…how will that work out? Jun 09, 2026
    Show notes

-The World-Herald’s Sam McKewon wrote about it yesterday, pointing out that Nebraska’s offense over the last 4 years really hasn’t been good

enough—especially in 2023, the first year of Matt Rhule. It did improve the last 2 years but not to the point where it is acceptable

-Nebraska continues to have issues in the red zone—a big reason why they just haven’t been able to pull off big wins or get to 8-9 win seasons

for quite some time. There are lots of things to point to…but how do they get better in the red zone? Can Anthony Colandrea make them

    better?

We already mocked it, but now that we get to thinking about it---why was Virginia/NC State ever thought to be a game played in Brazil? / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Jun 09, 2026
    Show notes

-We told the news last week of the NC State/Virginia game that was slated for Week 0 and to be played in Brazil was moved back to a home

game for Virginia in Charlottesville. Now that we think more about that….why were these 2 teams ever considered?

-Virginia did have a great season last year but has never been known as a fervent traveling fanbase—and NC State has a coach that half the

fanbase wants fired (Dave Doeren). Would Nebraska fans travel in droves to Brazil? And why does it only seem to work in Ireland?

The NCAA is critical of the Brendan Sorsby injunction, but is rendered pretty much useless in stopping it---what exactly CAN’T you do to be kept out of college sports? Jun 09, 2026
    Show notes

-The money has simply gotten too big and out of control—credit the NCAA for being somewhat better recently on not letting players get

ridiculous amounts of years in school to continue to collect NIL money, but it’s still not fixed

-But if a player who knowingly bet on sports and his own team in years past is allowed to continue to play college sports, what exactly can’t you

do to continue to keep playing? The moral compass is lost and it seems like any type of compass at all is gone.

Nothing makes sense anymore in college football: Brendan Sorsby will be allowed to play this season, only serving a 2-game suspension as punishment Jun 09, 2026
    Show notes

-Sorsby---the man who has placed at least $90,000 in bets over the years and at least 40 bets on Indiana while he was on the team there---was

granted a temporary injunction against the NCAA on Monday in Lubbock County Court, allowing him to play this season except for the first 2

    games

-The injunction stated that Sorsby will “suffer a probable, imminent, and irreparable injury if this court does not allow this temporary injunction

to play this year”….uh..was Sorsby threatening to severely injure himself? Is that all it takes now to get back in life? What a weird world.
