Show notes

-EA Sports unveiled Bears QB Caleb Williams as the cover feature on the video game that will be released soon---and for a long time,

that has been known to be a curse to who has been on it. But looking back over the last 10 years…it has only been a curse to the 2

most recent (Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey)

-The curse appeared to be gone from 2016-22 with all on the cover being respectable…so should they be nervous or excited?

A look around the B1G shows that Rutgers might not be very good as a team, but they’ve been REALLY good at recruiting and developing a certain position the last few years Jun 04, 2026

Show notes

-Husker Online ranked the Top 5 RBs in the B1G yesterday and had Rutgers’ Antwan Raymond as the best RB, fresh off a season where

he had 1,241 yards and 13 TDs, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Remember Kyle Monangai ahead of him? He’s a co-starter for the Bears…

-Others behind Raymond: Bo Jackson (Ohio State), Darius Taylor (Minnesota), Jordan Marshall (Michigan), and King Miller (USC)….as

we wonder how the RB picture at Nebraska will look without Emmett Johnson..

-Also---in looking at the top WRs in the conference---Rutgers’ WR KJ Duff is seen as the 2 nd best…why is this team not good?

Show notes

-Victor Wembanyama is one of the new young stars of the league, and he’ll try to protect home floor the first 2 games…

Nebraska Kool-Aid is strong already this offseason, but not really for this upcoming season---instead, for Trae Taylor and 2027, with national media in the conversation Jun 03, 2026

Show notes

-On3’s Ari Wasserman wrote about Trae Taylor yesterday, saying his performance in the Elite 11 camp and strong commitment to

Nebraska “allows Husker fans to dream again,” even though they had this same thought when Dylan Raiola was at the camp in 2023

and eventually ended up at Nebraska

-Raiola’s time in Lincoln wasn’t a disaster, but it wasn’t great---just OK, really. And Husker fans had really big dreams about what he

could achieve here…does that prevent Kool-Aid from being guzzled about Trae Taylor or is anything different this time?
