College Football Executives are considering four changes to shorten games…do any of the rules make sense to look into? Feb 21, 2023

Show notes

-Per SI’s Ross Dellenger, several clock rule changes are in play for safety and game length reasons.

-One potential change is no stoppage of the clock after a first down is attained…and another change would be no stopping of the clock after an incomplete pass….what?!

-The other 2 potential changes would be to prohibit 2 straight timeouts (icing of the kicker), and no longer extending the 1st or 3rd quarter if the final play is a penalty
