Tennessee decides to move on from QB Nico Iamaleava after NIL negotiations fall through…a loss for the Volunteers with their starting QB, but potentially a positive sign going forward for NIL Apr 14, 2025

Show notes

-Iamaleava has been the face of NIL with the reported $8 million deal at one point, which probably wasn’t entirely true…but Josh Heupel announced Saturday morning that the Vols would be moving on from him at QB and allowing him to enter the portal

-It’s a risky move by Tennessee to move on from him, but also one that says they won’t pay whatever people want them to…there has to be a standard

The Masters was as incredible as ever, thanks in part to an in-round choke by Rory McIlroy…but he gets it done in a playoff over Justin Rose Apr 14, 2025

Show notes

-Heading to hole 11, Rory McIlroy led the Masters by 5 shots…by the time he was done with hole 14, he was trailing (momentarily) by one…and Justin Rose put the heat on by getting the clubhouse lead at -11, thanks to a final round 66

-Rory was trying to clinch the career grand slam, and after a terrible 1^st hole double-bogey, he had bounced back nicely before he put a wedge in the creek on hole 13, leading to a double bogey…how did it all end? Did even Sip and Bill get into the ending at all?

Wisconsin football is so embarrassed with the way they lost to Iowa last year that ALL of Spring Ball is dedicated to never forgetting about it Apr 11, 2025

Show notes

-Wisconsin has incorporated a ritual for spring ball, doing 42 pushups after every session as a reminder for the amount of points they gave up in a loss to Iowa last season---senior LB Darryl Peterson told media recently, “When have you heard of Iowa scoring 42 points, ever?”…he’s not wrong with that sentiment…let’s spice up the rivalry even more

-Should Nebraska do something like that? What recent result would resonate the most with a team that pissed them off and inspire them to be better?
