A recent mock draft has 4 Nebraska players getting drafted this month, but not until Day 3 / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Apr 15, 2025

Show notes

-CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso has Ty Robinson and Tommi Hill going in the 5^th round, and Thomas Fidone and Isaiah Neyor going in the 7^th round

-The 5^th round picks are both kind of baffling if it truly went that way; Robinson seemed to be trending to a 2^nd or 3^rd round pick (which he still can me), while Hill was trending downward with no Combine or Pro Day participation…what gives?

How does Nebraska stack up talent wise to the rest of the country? Probably not as well as you’d hope… Apr 15, 2025

Show notes

-CBS Sports put out a list of their Top 150 players in college football, and only one Nebraska player made the list---Dane Key at No. 107. No Dylan Raiola, no defensive players…yet the QB at Army and Navy were both in the Top 100 of the country

-Players of note: Jeremiah Smith (No. 1); LaNorris Sellers (No. 3); Garrett Nussmeier (No. 4); Arch Manning (No. 46); Luke Altmyer (No. 102); Avery Johnson (No. 103);

Are Spring Games done as we know them, or could there be a revival next year after seeing some of the crowd sizes so far? Apr 15, 2025

Show notes

-The ‘death’ of the spring game has been a topic all year long, and understandably so---it’s always been a flawed ‘game’ but still a reason for fans to come out to the stadium

-Alabama went from 72,000+ fans in 2024 to just 10,000 this past Saturday; Ohio State drew 40,000+ fans on Saturday, down from 80,000+ in 2024; and the story continues on. Could administrations change their minds next year and go back to trying to get full crowds and a game of sorts or is it gone forever?

The Masters provided an example of how difficult it is to win when you want something so bad…the epitome of fans of so many teams, including Nebraska sports Apr 14, 2025

Show notes

-Rory McIlroy let it all slip away in the 2^nd 9 on Sunday and actually trailed, in a tournament he’s wanted to win his entire life…Nebraska sports are rarely at the top like he is, but they have choked many times despite wanting it so badly

-Nebraska sports—whether it’s football, basketball, etc.—have had the passion, the fanbase, the excitement—and fallen flat. If Rory can break through in Augusta, maybe Nebraska can finally break through in something
