CharMar Brown chooses Miami over Nebraska and Cal, ending that potential late-April splash signing excitement May 01, 2025

Show notes

-There was some buzz late morning yesterday that Cal had gone from favorites to get Brown to out of the race, and it was between Miami and Nebraska---which quickly became known that it was the Hurricanes as Brown’s next team

-This is a player that most people in the state didn’t really know of until 2 weeks ago or so and now they are infatuated with him and believe this is a huge miss to not get him….no need to overexaggerate like that, but it is a disappointment….right?

-Brady Cook (QB, Missouri); Jay Higgins (LB, Iowa); Cobee Bryant (DB, Kansas); Isaiah Bond (WR, Texas); Xavier Restrepo (WR, Miami); and Donovan Edwards (RB, Michigan)

Is Nebraska’s 2025 WRs corp significantly better than the 2024 team or is there more to learn before we say that? Apr 30, 2025

Show notes

-Husker Online’s Robin Washut put out his 5 “Stock Up” players from the Spring and listed freshman WR Cortez Mills among the 5 on the way up, which is significant when you look at players like Dane Key and Jacory Barney already with quality experience

-Can you say right now that this unit should be better than last year’s, with losses of Jahmal Banks and Isaiah Neyor?

Will we ever see the RB position get back to major importance in the NFL Draft? Apr 30, 2025

Show notes

-Yes, we know RBs are still very important in the sport—it’s more about the draft capital of them, though. This year was nice to see Ashton Jeanty to go in the top 10…since Saquon Barkley went 2^nd overall to the Giants in 2018, only one other RB has gone in the top 10 prior to Jeanty (Bijan Robinson in 2023)

-Will there ever be a time where we see multiple RBs in the top 10 again? Why or why not?
