CBS Sports’ “Blue-Chip Ratio” indicates Nebraska has no chance of a national title this year…but will they ever end up in the good side of the list? Jul 21, 2025

Show notes

The “Blue-Chip Ratio” has been around since 2013, and breaks down programs and their recruiting to see if they have what it takes to win it all. 18 teams showed up this year on the list—which indicates those programs have signed more 4 and 5 star recruits than 2 and 3 star recruits over the previous 4 recruiting classes

This ratio doesn’t factor in the portal, which might change a lot of things going forward—but it’s still been right in assessing the potential candidates to the win the CFP

Something unprecedented almost happened this weekend regarding the NFL and college football but appears to be a non-story now…but what if it comes back to light? / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Jul 21, 2025

Show notes

Former Texas A&M defensive end Shemar Stewart went undrafted and signed with the Bengals, but has been working out with A&M all offseason and rumors had been going that he was still going to try and return to A&M and play football

If he would pursue coming back to A&M, it would require a lawsuit against the collegiate governing body—this of course would be an attempt to get one more year of NIL and hope to get drafted the next year….is that a story in years to come?
