CBS Sports ranks Matt Rhule as the B1G’s 9th best coach…is that where he belongs and what is his ceiling? Jul 24, 2025

Show notes

Ryan Day took the top honor for best coach, followed by this in order: Dan Lanning, James Franklin, Lincoln Riley, Kirk Ferentz, Curt Cignetti, Bret Bielema, PJ Fleck, Matt Rhule, and Jedd Fisch

If Rhule and Nebraska elevate to a 9 or 10 win program this year, how much can he climb? Lots of good coaches in the way so it might take several good years to get higher on the list…or maybe a playoff appearance and a win in the playoffs…
