Maryland head coach Mike Locksley made it pretty clear that there’s NIL issues in the locker room…as we all assumed would be the case Jul 23, 2025

Show notes

Locksley said “Coach Locks” didn’t do a good enough job last year and that the landscape of college football has taught him a valuable lesson

He also said there’s a sign outside the Maryland locker room that says: “You can leave your Louis’ belts your car keys and your financial statements outside those doors.” Seems like a great time with the Terps!

Tony Petitti stands firm in the B1G’s stance on the playoff and automatic qualifiers…will anyone jump back into his point of view? Jul 23, 2025

Show notes

The B1G commissioner said he wants to better connect the regular season and the postseason---we want more conference games to matter in November and keep as many teams alive as deep in the season as possible

You have to respect that as the commissioner of his league in hopes of getting 4 AQs each year, but for those who push back (all the other conferences), the thought would be---what about a ‘down’ season in the B1G? Does that get the best 16 teams?

Rhule said he knew when he took over in 2023 it would take a while to fix Nebraska and now it’s “close to fixed”…we’ll see if that is evident right away or not
