We’ve reached a very weird point where there’s a strange obsession over Nebraska’s punter…who has never punted in an actual football game Aug 11, 2025

Show notes

Bill has certainly coached (and recruited) some very good punters in his years, so he might understand being proud of a certain player in his time at a school or in the NFL..

But Matt Rhule’s obsession over Archie Wilson is bizarre…saying he could watch him punt all day and he’s never seen anything like him before…will it translate to games?

Nebraska had their first scrimmage of Fall camp on Saturday…what were the biggest takeaways for Matt Rhule? Aug 11, 2025

Show notes

Rhule spoke to media after the scrimmage (not open to the media or public to watch), and said the offense was “really, really, really efficient”…that’s for the listener to decide if that’s fantastic for the offense or concerning for the Husker defense

Rhule said the QBs were good and Dylan Raiola has been good all camp in general…what else from Saturday?

You want confidence? Dabo Swinney says Clemson is going 16-0 this season and winning the title Aug 08, 2025

Show notes

Swinney was talking with ESPN’s Chris Low this week and said that his 2018 Clemson team was the first team to ever go 15-0, and this year his team will be the first team to go 16-0. If they survive LSU in the opener, they’ll be a likely favorite in 10 straight games..

Clemson appeared to be heading the wrong direction in the era of NIL and transfer portal, but apparently not anymore…

What 3 games define Nebraska’s 2025 football season? Aug 08, 2025

Show notes

We discussed earlier in the show that one CBS Sports writer says Nebraska will go under 7.5 wins….recently, someone locally wrote that the Cincinnati, Michigan and Iowa games define the 2025 season for Nebraska

The Stool has agreed on the Cincinnati game and Michigan game to a certain extent…but do we choose USC as the 3rd game over Iowa or not? Hard to put Penn State since it’s a projected loss…
