Matt Rhule is all over the place right now in media presence…and it could increase if he starts to end some disturbing trends in his personal coaching career and Nebraska’s recent years Sep 15, 2025

Show notes

We all know that Rhule has his own podcast now, is on weekly with Pat McAfee, and yes---was even at the Bud Crawford fight on Saturday night (what a win by Crawford over Canelo)…here’s what he’s facing with ranked Michigan in town this weekend

Rhule is 2-22 as a head coach vs. ranked teams in his career; and Nebraska has lost 27 straight games vs. the AP Top 25…a win vs. Oregon in 2016 the last time it’s happened….if they beat Michigan (which they very well could)..it gets even louder

Michigan unleashed Bryce Underwood on the ground and he impressed in a blowout of Central Michigan….can Nebraska solve their issues with running QBs like they had vs. Cincinnati? Sep 15, 2025

Show notes

No Sherrone Moore, no problem---the freshman QB Underwood ran 9 times for 114 yards and 2 TDs, and also was 16/25 passing for 235 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT

Perhaps they had seen John Mateer utilize his legs the previous week for Oklahoma in their win over the Wolverines, or maybe it was the plan all along to ease into it with his running…regardless, he knows he can now and the Huskers struggled to slow down Cincy’s Brendan Sorsby in the opener

Nebraska’s non-conference slate is over with a predictable 3-0 start, and now it’s Michigan Week in Lincoln Sep 15, 2025

Show notes

Nebraska was rarely pushed at all in a dominant win over Houston Christian, 59-7, with the only real unfortunate thing happening was the chance at scoring 60+ points in 2 straight weeks being one point short, and also the chance of back-to-back shutouts falling short…otherwise there’s not much to complain about

HCU was predictably overmatched and couldn’t get much going against the starters…are the Huskers ready for B1G play now?
