Finally, we hear from a member of the audience, who has set the bar SO high for the rest of the run with their crime tale, that almost completes that segment of the show.

In the Woodshed with Dr Janina Ramirez Aug 03, 2022

Show notes

Can you believe that it's the 200th episode of Drunk Women Solving Crime? No, neither can Taylor, Hannah and Catie, who thought they'd be in rehab by now, but that just goes to show you what drinking responsibly can achieve...and what better way to celebrate this landmark than to invite historian and presenter Dr Janina Ramirez along for the ride?

Janina begins the episode by showing a rather different side to herself than anyone familiar with her documentaries would have seen - and that's not the first time she's shown another side to herself to an unsuspecting crowd, as you'll hear!

The team then crack into a case in which something is a foot in the woodshed, but what does Hannah have to do with it all?

Then, to finish off, this week's listener crime comes from someone still looking to seek justice after 20 years! But will they get the closure they need?

Brenda Gilhooly HAS THE EVIDENCE Jul 20, 2022

Show notes

The Drunk Women are back in the studio* this week, and joining them is writer, actor and comedian, Brenda Gilhooly!

Brenda shows early on that what she may lack in technical skills, she certainly makes-up for in detective smarts, as she tells us about a criminal activity in which she simultaneously becomes participant AND evidence gatherer, listen to find out if the perp was brought to task as a result.

The team then pay homage to a young trailblazer of feminism and socialism.... sounds like a recipe for a quiet and stress free life to us!

And this week's listener story throws-up the dilemma of a possible Robin Hood scenario … or it might just be a thieving ne'er do well... you decide!

And of then we are treated to not just one, but TWO criminal incidents from the life of one of our amazing audience members... did they get solved? Not sure, but the team definitely didn't make either of them worse.
