A Cozy Bedtime Reading of Little House on the Prairie — Chapter 25 & 26 Apr 23, 2024
    Show notes

Settle in for a gentle, unhurried reading of Laura Ingalls Wilder's classic story of a pioneer family's journey by covered wagon to a new home on the Kansas prairie. Follow along as the family builds a new life together, surrounded by the quiet rhythms of the land — perfect for winding down and drifting off to sleep.

Historical Context Note: This classic story from the late 1800s reflects the cultural perspectives, terminology, and survival practices of the era in which it was written. Some of these vintage elements do not align with modern values and may be uncomfortable for some audiences. We present this unedited tale strictly for historical accuracy and to encourage thoughtful reflection on our past.

    Sweet dreams!

The Nightingale and the Rose by Oscar Wilde & Calming Guided Bedtime Relaxation Apr 02, 2024
    Show notes

Welcome back my friend! Tonight’s bedtime story is a masterpiece penned by legendary Oscar Wilde called ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’, a beautiful story of love, sacrifice, and the beauty of nature. A tale that transports us to a garden not so different from one you might find in a dream, where a nightingale overhears a young student who is weeping over unattainable love and decides to embark on a heartfelt quest.
The storytelling begins with a beautiful short guided relaxation with soothing sounds to help you relax and settle in. The story also ends with a short relaxation to help you transition into a restful night's sleep. I hope this episode helps you feel calm and at ease! I wish you the sweetest of dreams!

Fairytale Sleep Story: The Tears of Prunella Mar 19, 2024
    Show notes

Welcome back! Tonight we have a fairytale sleep story called 'The Tears of Prunella' by Evelyn Sharp. In this dreamy fairytale, we follow a young lad who is deaf due to an enchantment bestowed upon him by the whims of fairyland. This enchantment separates him from the world he so dearly wishes to be a part of and, with unwavering determination, he seeks to become a real boy—not for the sake of hearing the songs of birds or the rustle of the wind, but to hear the tears of his princess and offer the comfort that only true friendship can provide.
As always, the story begins with a short 'settling in relaxation' followed by the storytelling. The soft background music will continue for short while after the storytelling to help you transition to sleep. Enjoy and sweet dreams!
