#48: Red Cyclone Prevails! Jun 22, 2017

Redhood has finally shown his face to the world, and CrashTag ain't too happy with the outcome. Mezza returns from a long weekend in Florida, enjoying the rainfall and little sunshine. Now that CEO is over and it is time to get back to reality, both CrashTag and Mezza begin to tackle the new reveals and updates that have been long and awaiting. NetherRealms releases RedHood & talks about creating a E-League 250k Championships for Injustice 2. Subzero gets a pretty chilling new trailer that leaves even the excited players in a chill mood.
Capcom reaveals more about Marvel vs Capcom Infinite's gameplay and allows the players to test hands on at CEO & E3. Street fighter V for sees some issues with their new edition that seems to be haunting possible new players and challenging the old players with inconsistent combos. DLC isn't far fetched for Capcom so they bring some new attire to teach everyone a lesson to wear a proper uniform to study. Iron Galaxy gives us a first taste of Eagl,e and he doesn't look that bad. At least the Double Tap team feels that way. Killer Instinct also comes to steam. Pokken Tournament DX aka 1.5/1.6 gets some new upgrades and gets a new home on the switch. It also revealed a new Pokemon, Decidueye, who will be joining the battlefield with his ghostly grass type abilities.
Randoms In The FGC talks about Dragonball FighterZ and Arcsys way of building a dream fighter. Evo numbers looking rough as well as Capcom licensing with Bandai on netplay! Last but not least, Dissidia finally gets a good reveal and look for when it will arrive to consoles in the near early 2018. Traveling is apart of the job ,and as always the team strives to be at events and this time Mezza was able to head out to CEO Gaming to give you the 411 on how things went down!

#47: Gym, Health, and Game Jun 07, 2017

Redhood is finally out of the darkness and CrashTag is overjoyed with his trailer. Mezza returns from a weekend at Redbull Proving Grounds in Philly, and has many tales to tell. Punk takes an L to a Static Go Ray Ray. Marvel vs. Capcom finally has a place to showcase MVCI. CEO is around the corner, but there is a lot of Street Figther V talk, and Ed has taken over as the new boxer in the ring. Dead or Alive discontinues DLC content for good. Iron Galaxy brings forth their newest character: Eagle. Namco does a big release content for Tekken 7, and King is sweeping the Iron fist tournament with his make it rain "Rage Art".
Pokken won't be a main event at EVO this year, but Anime EVO accepts the lively community and will be running it with other side games at EVO this year. Justin has sponsored a player before, but this time he is bringing four players who may have a strong impact on their perspective games. The "Focus Attack" takes a change in the road as Mezza & CrashTag talk tournament health and the way Daigo is changing to be more healthy. Never forget Mod highlights as we have returning TheJamk & MonkeyGigaBuster with character mods and story driven stages.

#46: True Loyalty Equals Strength? May 25, 2017

After a long weekend in Philly, the boys come back home to hear that Bon-Chan is doing it again with the not so good Nash, and NetherRealm released a photo of Red Hood. Capcom throws in the white flag and says no in-game currency and crossplay. Namco release a ton of trailers and specs for the PC edition of Tekken 7. They also announce a patch for console to help add the DLC, and balance some possible future issues.
Mezza & CrashTag talk about Tekken colluding and how it effects the whole community. Guilty Gear XRD 2 is right around the corner, and Baiken gets a new trailer to keep things lively. We can never count SNK out, as some behind the scenes mod specialist is diving into making a hitbox viewer for the King of Fighters XIV title when it comes to Steam for the PC. With the rise of Injustice 2, the "Focus Attack" centers more around release issues and thoughts on Injustice 2.
Bon-Chan and is loyalty to a character needed to win? We also got an exclusive interview from the winner of "Go For Broke" Injustice 2 tournament. Of course where would we be if we left you with out some dope game mods and "Randoms of the FGC". The return of Team YP, Toonami gives tom one job to do for E-League, and Facebook jumps on board with ESLGaming as another platform.

#45: All Aboard the Hype Train 2017! May 10, 2017

Now is the time to take the 2017 Hype Train! CrashTag & Mezza ride in with all the new updates that leave them even speechless with amazement. Namco drops a big ten minute story/trailer that left heavy impressions. Iron Galaxy hints that they are in the works with a new character, but sadly no more stuff for the retro characters. Guilty Gear XRD 2 gets a demo release that will be playable soon. Game informer gives us detailed updates on MvCI and what to expect.
Capcom releases yet another character to the roster but not just any normal character. Ed with his psycho power is revealed, and loads of background story adds to the speculation of where he might stand in the future. Thailand stage gets released, but quickly removed cause of the music touching base with religion. NRS has revealed Joker as the final character, and Brainic final boss footage! Green lantern, Green Arrow, and even Darksied get a hefty breakdown of their playstyles. NeatherRealms went the distance to show DLC, and even a championship series for competitors to join.
CrashTag brings up "The Focus Attack" and narrowed in on what you guys believe we can change or bring back to better the podcast, and future of DoubleTap. More mods, and Randoms of the FGC talk SF2 inducted into the Hall of Fam, and Pokken players invade Japan for KVO?!

#44: Alliances Truly Repaired Apr 26, 2017

Normally CrashTag and Mezza have tons of Street Fighter V and Guilty Gear content to talk about but today is a new day. NetherRealms is taking over, and they are breaking down so many characters that it massive coverage from characters to gears. Brainic is released, and they dive deep into his gameplay as well as a few other characters. Talks of The Joker returning doesn't sit well with many people, as well as the two hosts.
Iron Galaxy releases another set of ultimate finishers, and Capcom drops some more DLC, but maybe for the wrong characters? Blazblue:Central Fiction gets announced for PC! Namco drops new costumes for Tekken 7 release for each character and King Of Fighters brings you DLC as well. Dream Cancel also gives us the guide to frame data and much more.
Randoms of the FGC has a WWE take over as Eva Marie joins the ELeague fun, and does a little bit of cosplaying as Laura. Ultra SFII has different modes and they are looking very promising. Last but not least its time to take it to the horde with your favorite E-sports team DLC skins. CrashTag and Mezza talk about potential and possibilities of true change with this new dynamic supporting of E-Sports teams in a different way.
It wouldn't be a Double Tap if we didn't add these fantastic mod finds. Street Fighter V gets a taste of poison, and they learn what it is like to get zapped into the strange Dragonball Z world! Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gets some mod Balances and character leaks for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite.

Finally, the time has come for more action, but at what cost?! E-sports is here, but so is the thuggery from the Fighting Game Community. CrashTag & Mezza are on the scene to decide if golf claps are not enough for the FGC, and if the E-League craze is going to everyone's head. On the other side of things, NetherRealms has so kindly given us another piece of the Injustice 2 story and the shaping of the villians, aka "The Society", with breakdown of Captain Cold to Bane and many more.
Iron Galaxy stretches limits with their new ultimate combo finishes from an ultra, and Guilty Gear XRD Rev 2's Baiken and Answer receive constructive criticism and praise over some new footage. Tekken 7 takes it back to the old days when they used to get T for Teen ratings for rating on the ESRB system. King of Fighters XIV gets a large update of balance changes and new characters that will bring in some of the old, new players.
The "Focus Attack" gets pretty interesting as we debate a bit about the "Michael Martin" E-league break down video. New Mods get the seal of approval from Double Tap and FGC Randoms bring some smash enlightenment and more.

#42: Breakdown City Mar 29, 2017

CrashTag & Mezza are back again with in-depth talk on the breakdowns of new updates and wild times within the Fighting Game Community. They dive head first into NetherRealm's Injustice 2 character reveals in their new trailer "Shattered Alliances Part 3". NRS has so kindly restored "Black Adam" to the Injustice universe in a high octane trailer of him going toe to toe with Superman. Swampthing and Cheetah get their first playthrough/Breakdown of how their play could become either linear or expansive to the title. Robin and Dr. Fate get considered to possibly be some of the more flashier characters in the game, but at what cost?
Capcom does not shy away from working on their online community, and decides to banish those who Rage Quit into a hell hole where they will meet other rage quitters in. Pokken Tournament finally gets the show on the road with the announcement of a $20,000 dollar Prize pool for World Championships and qualifiers that will have the community rushing to place top 4. Namco throws us a bone with more DLC content possibly coming from anywhere. Tekken 7 may see more cross over play then expected. ArcSys covers more info on the release date of their new GGXRD2 title, and gives support to their two game communities by putting in $10,000 dollars to support the EVO prize pool.
With so much content going out fast, SNKPlaymore does not jump ship and holds steady with the release of Vanessa and Yamazaki. Plus they gave it their all by throwing a CG movie that Mezza and CrashTag seem to believe could bring King of Fighters back to light. Randoms In the FGC never fails to disappoint, as the guys talk about biggest pop offs, Civil War gone full esports theme, Japan Evolution, and some possible April fools that no one is looking forward too. Mod highlights were also covered as we received sfv orchid skin for Laura, Abel in his Shadaloo suit worn my Alex, and UMVC3 Ben Reily Symbiotic Spider Man outfit looks super solid.

More Dead or Alive costumes finally receiving a date of release, and Guilty Gear XRD 2 gets a release date for the Japanese arcades! Whip has finally returned to the large roster of KOF, and this time shes looking really solid. Talk has spread in the "Randoms In The FGC". Rico gets disqualified, Daigo breaks the Ryu mold and switches back to guile. Punk joins Panda Global Gaming and Harada says, "No Cross-Platform play between PC and consoles." Kbrad invades Wolfkrones headphone space after sending him home packing. Mezza drops the knowledge hammer on Final Round XX and how to travel safe, yet smart!

Everybody is on the DLC train as Tekken 7 announces special characters that are not from the previous games. XRD2 gets a North American release date with Testing Locations in the horizon.
