    #69: Line Up for EVO Feb 08, 2018
    Show notes

    CrashTag has returned and Mr. Wizard strikes again, but this time with an interesting line up for the Evo 2018 games. Double Tap sits down to watch and understand further what the motives are behind these game choices. Not only that, they bring you some very relaxed game updates.
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrive at NetherRealms watch tower and Noctis gets a bit of a review by the Easy Allies. DragonBall FighterZ has a de-sync issue through online play and a player plays with a piano? Soulcalibur is also cover by Easy allies and Them Fightin Heards finally gets a released date for the world.
    In "Randoms of the FGC" Akira "Akiman" Yasuda gets a short film about his artwork. Capcom CEO wants to put more focus on Esports and their titles, but Mezza & CrashTag are not buying it. MenaRD, winner of Capcom Cup 2017, makes his own Esports team for the Dominican Republic.
    Focus Attack tests both Mezza and CrashTags patience, including their thoughts on the overall number values for these games. In the Mod Highlights TheJAMK brings us space Sakura in SFV. MastaKlo data mined PC DBFZ classic Goku/Vegeta. MonkeyGigaBuster throws down with some final fantasy nostalgia with the Mako Reactor Training room for MVCI.

    Once again the Double Tap team has been on the move and although far apart they still find time to tackle the Fighting Game Community updates. Having a guest from time to time they bring in Gabe "Static Gorilla" Medina freshly off the EVO Japan hype. CrashTag Talks travels in Japan as Mezza talks about life in boring old America. Blazblue Cross Tag Battle updates their information on DLC and particular costs.
    Pokken Tournament DX releases Aegislash earlier than expected and Dissidia finally releases in America. The team talks about expectations on Oswald joining the KOF XIV roster and Nakoruru having no bird? for SNK Heroines Tag Team. Dragon Ball Fighter Z has a crazy moment of unleashing loads of tech and Mezza gives a break down on his mindset of the direction the game will be going. The game has also been data mined and see how CrashTag feels about the leaked lists of possible characters. Soulcalibur VI gets a nice treat with Groh, Nightmare, Kilik, and Xianghua joins the fight.
    Fighting Ex Layer has been under wraps but still dishing out characters as they present Jack aka Cracker Jack from the original Ex layer. Capcom does another collab with monster hunter series and Street Fighter V. Costumes have been released for a chance to earn through battles. In "Randoms of the FGC" the team talks Esports owners and direction with the new owners. Arbys cant resist Yamcha's death with curly fries. AtlasBears picks up Poongko right before EVO Japan.
    As always Mod Highlights are on fire this week with BrutalAce giving us a Morrigana as Chun Li. Monkeygigabuster throws us some Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite X fusion mods and Armored Venom!

    #67: Road to EVO Japan Jan 25, 2018
    Show notes

    From Chicago to Japan the team is finding themselves drained, yet excited for another sit down to discuss some new finds within the Fighting Game Community. A light week of game updates is sweeping this week as CrashTag and Mezza talk about Riots new fighting game Rising Thunder. Rising Thunder gets a community release which allows for local play and online play if the community runs an open server for it. SNK will have their new SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy early build at EVO Japan and CrashTag seems to be up for trying it 100%. CrashTag opens the floor with a Dissidia discussion for the production level on the LevelUp stream for Dissidia Fantasy Finals.
    Mezza gets hit with the Android 21 bug and speaks on the trailer and full matches that have showcased her move set so far. Alternate skin colors have stirred some good and bad within the community for Android 21. Battle of the Gods Invitational is going to happen this week with some special guest faces. Don't feel like earning Android 21 through story play? Well the Double Tap team informs you how to unlock her with an alternate way, but it still will cost you. IGN dips their hands into a review for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Capcom shows a little support and update as Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and says we don't like unblockables either.
    Street Fighter V gets a new Grand Master mode added for online play. Karin has an official Ingrid costume released. In "Randoms of The FGC" Kenneth Bradley joins Ghost Gaming and seems to be staying in their house as well. Guile esports dips into Pokken and picks up another strong contender Kevin "Oreo" Menz. CyberStorm Gaming picks up Frankie Gomez for DBFZ. Just Guard Gaming throws a disc to Franke "2PlayRough" Sisto so he can Jam with the pros. PG Plup finally puts his name among the gods as one as he wins Genesis 5 melee by beating Liquid Hungrybox. Ketchup/Mustard throwdown with the Mortal Kombat meta and inform people how things have changed.
    For the "Focus Attack/Travel Segment" Mezza talks about his Frosty Faustings experience and CrashTag talks Japan pre game trip. As always mods never escape the teams eye and SleepMaster brings forth a bit of Tekken in our Street Fighter V with this cool Nash wearing a Raven skin.

    #66: 50% Game 50% Your Wallet Jan 18, 2018
    Show notes

    Every game is in the downloadable content business. Mezza & CrashTag dive deep into the ups and downs of gaming company decision making. Kicking off the game updates pretty rapid-fire style. Blazblue Cross Tag gets 20 base character announcement but 20 DLC character announcement as well. Cross Tag will also appear at Evo Japan as a test site. Pokken Tournament DX gets a surprise Nintendo direct. Two wave DLC content starting with battle Pokemon Aegislash and Blastoise, followed by four supports Rayquaza, Mimikyu, Mew, and Celebii. SnK drops another fighting game but for the switch, SNK Heroines will be up for grabs during the summer.
    Square Enix surprises DoubleTap with some big plans for Six DLC hinted characters and CrashTag bring up some possible team strategies being used as Mezza gives his impressions on the beta. Arcsys and Bandai struggle with their Dragonball Fighter Z beta as they have some hiccups but Beerus trailer was released and the full game size was leaked. Can you say so small I can fit it on a five-gigabyte flash drive? Capcom throws final patch notes and gives Sakura week access before purchasing the fighter pack or Sakura alone. Season 3 story pack costumes are also available on the PSN store.
    In "Randoms of the FGC" Goku's voice actor and Vegeta's voice actor are a go for a head to head clash in Dragonball Fighter Z. KnuckleDu is a free agent, or is he? TSM Zero chooses to hang up his smash 4 towel and become more of a streamer till a new smash game comes out. Dignitas returns to the smash scene with their two melee powerhouse pickups. The "Focus Attack" gives the team a chance to express their feelings towards a twitter comment by responding with a load of answers for onelastsalute's question. "Any advice you can give to someone looking to host an event later in the year?" Crashtag grabs N3rdStGamers Comeback(Kyle) for some helpful tips! As always it wouldn't be a DoubleTap podcast without the mod community. Mezza drops a few heavy hitters with theJAMK's Hulk buster, pharsticage's Jedah themed Carol, and Khaledantar666 gives us a taste of Dead or Alive in our Street Fighter V.

    #65: Enchantress is Here Jan 11, 2018
    Show notes

    A slow week, but still filled with lots of goodies in a bag, and it isn't even Christmas anymore. CrashTag and Mezza tackle the ever so intriguing Enchantress in Injustice 2. They dive deep into what she might be capable of, and possibilities of NetherRealm staying true to their overly powered DLC character releases. King Of Fighters brings us an original Japanese manga that has only released two chapters but introduces us to the new teams and bonds formed during the "New Beginnings" of King of Fighters XIV.
    Square Enix plans to do a Pre-Launch event online for Dissidia. Talk of release and an early showcasing of the game and possible gameplay matches. Final Fantasy Final's event will take place, so the DoubleTap team will be covering it and giving you the scoop on the turnouts. Hayate EIN breaks down all of Soulcalibur VI gameplay. From returning mechanics, current mechanics, and even some new mechanics to fill your palette if you haven't received enough. There will also be a playable build at EVO Japan and you know Crashtag will be all over it while at Evo Japan. Capcom finishing off the updates with training mode colors to help casuals and even veterans with frame data in-game. Also SFV: Arcade Edition patch notes have been released but not finalized.
    In our "Randoms of the FGC", we have the Goku voice actor and Vegeta voice actor wanting to go head to head and FUNimation is willing to be behind it as well as Mr. Wizard who runs Evo. Cooperation Cup Highlights was created by XusesGB for all your Street Fighter: 3rd Strike needs. The Team will be taking a trip out this weekend to Atlantic City, New Jersey to compete and produce the tournament for "Go For Broke/N3rd Street Gamers Esports network. Last but not least the mods are booming this week with BrutalAce kicking it off with a Laura X Mileena mod for SFV.
    Carol gets a Resident Evil 6 makeover in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Ultron finds himself becoming a bit of a knight in shining armor with his new mod. Tekken 7 has become a possibility on the PSP with these new interesting updated community mods to make Tekken 7 on the go using a previous version of Tekken for the PSP.

    #64: New Year, New Games 2018 Jan 04, 2018

    After a long year of hard work, the Double Tap team hangs up the 2017 wrinkled shirt and puts on a brand new sweater. Happy New Year! It is time to embrace the new games of 2018. The guys kick off the new year with a special guest with Tournament organizing experience and competitive accolades. Ryan "Uchi" Rojas, better known as Uchi of UchiGames, sits down with the team and expresses his thoughts and feelings as the team keeps it interesting when not everyone's answers go according to plan.
    For the game updates, Tekken 7 expands their sales. Square Enix gives a chance to those who are pre-ordering their new title Dissidia Final Fantasy NT to win a brand new arcade cabinet with Dissidia built in. With Dragonball Fighter Z beta being around the corner. Tokyo Attack teams up with GDQ(Games Done Quick) to bring the Dragonball Fighter Z demo as the last test location before launch. Soulcalibur VI can now be pre-ordered through Amazon through 8wayrun. Capcom gives hint and leads way too early patch notes before SFV:AE is released. X-kira did some data mining and found there may be a few hidden gems not revealed yet by Capcom.
    In Randoms of The FGC, Evo Japan is breaking some of the old Evo big numbers in contestant entries. The Focus Attack rounds up all the new games this year and with Uchi on the show. The team all look at the possibilities of what games are highly anticipated for each and what games lack a true future presence in the long run. Last but not least the modders have come out to play. The JAMK brings us Laura and Zeku connected costumes as they go on their first date. Classic Venom and Armored spiderman make a cameo in MVCI by Futcharist. TaNooKi does a Patreon poll!

    #63: The Future Looks Bright Dec 28, 2017

    Another week, another update! CrashTag and Mezza strike again as they bring you a little bit of game update joy after this past Christmas weekend. Injustice 2 gets an early pre-bug patch fixing before releasing enchantress. Fighting Ex Layer is officially closed till other wise. Destiny the King of Fighters show is officially on episode 21.
    Dissidia is getting closer and closer to the release date of January 30th. Arcsys and Bandai throw more cool stuff our way with Opening cinematic which is very similar to another big title. Gotenks breakdown and Tien breakdown by hellpockets. Soulcalibur VI has an interesting take on Sophitia's looks which might drive the new story in a different direction. Capcom missed a very vital step in programming their game last patch. Unblockables have returned and in a negative way. Team VS gameplay is shown and it looks amazing!
    In the Randoms of the FGC Menard says no one is ready for his actual main! What does this mean for the Capcom Cup winner? Focus attack has the double tap team questioning the pros and cons of the community when it comes to recreating an old game into something new. MK9 Trilogy/Tournament Edition and Super Smash Bros Melee HD give lead way from old games to an updated version of each game by the community. In mod highlights, Abigail turns into a real Juggernaut. Morrigan gets a reskin mod for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. Winter Soldier is better known as Hunk of Resident Evil!

    Mezza returns from a scary, yet inspiring weekend at NECXVIII. CrashTag has been hitting up some Overwatch, but they are summoned to update you all! Blazblue Cross returns with a four character update. Iron Tager, Makoto, v-No. 13, and Es have joined the roster as possibly the last 4 Blazblue characters.
    Fighting Ex Layer "Flex" continues the ongoing beta till Christmas. SNK reminds people that EVO Japan will have a new playable character, but whom will join the King Of Fighters roster. Team Ninja's Tom Lee has made a long video tribute and giving lead way to a big Dead or Alive announcement. What does this entail for the costume collection? Bandai & Arcsys is working really hard because they have officially announced one last beta January 14th-15th. Gohan gives a Family Kamehameha a new feel for visually pleasing. Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black (Rose) has finally been shown with full-on gameplay and will release with the game January 26th.
    One of the ongoing series Soulcalibur VI has finally been updated with a 10-minute gameplay video. Capcom reminds us how amazing Chun Li is and gives her another costume set! In the Randoms Of The FGC, Riot is releasing Rising Thunder! A kid loses to his girlfriend's father in Guilty Gear after a challenge. MVCI might not be at EVO (Scratch that). Pokken Announced for Evo Japan as a 2vs2 side event. Capcom vs. Snk 2 is back for another round but at EVO Japan this time. Punch Planet 2 is planning to drop two new characters for the community to enjoy. Mezza rants and raves about his NECXVIII travel experience. Modders gonna mod in this release we have an unknown modder creating a Nostalgic Cammy Outfit. A new name pops up xHecZx giving us a fresh feel to Laura as C.Viper.

    Capcom Cup 2017 is officially over and Team DoubleTap is recapping all of the weekend, but before that, they have game updates! Namco secretly at a Tekken 7 tournament states they will be fixing the lag input for the PS4 version of Tekken. NetherRealms releases Atom trailer and the character. CrashTag has a lot of interesting questions about this character. The guys breakdown Fighting Ex Layer aka Flex and speak on the beta.
    Dissidia gets a few teaser trailers on Cecil, Onion Knight, Firion, and Warrior of Light. Character roster launch trailer was released as well. Namco announced Soulcalibur VI with its fantastic graphics and slight gameplay impressed a lot even the DoubleTap team. Ono brings us some awesome Street Fighter V content. Street Fighter's 30th Anniversary Collection was announced as well as Sakura's Reveal trailer. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition also got a special Cinematic opening.
    In our, "Randoms of the FGC" Steve Spielberg is releasing a new video game movie called, "Ready Player One". Injustice 2 wins best fighting game of the year award and Mr. Wizard pokes at Marvel with a poll of is it dead or not? The guys talk Battle of the stones & CapcomCup and speak of Menard's overtaking of Tokido. Mod Highlights give us some cross swapping of Jedah joining SFV and Venom hits puberty. Taskmaster also appears as the new Captain America.

    #60: BBQ Pro Tour Time! Dec 08, 2017

    Capcom Pro Tour is around the corner and it's that time again! CrashTag & Mezza throw some predictions to the wind and see how they can't even decide on a definitive winner for this up and coming event. Get your forks and knives cause the boys are cooking up a real feast for this "Focus Attack". First, the team talks Geese Howard and his appearance in Tekken 7 as he has just been released with a Touch of Death combo. NetherRealms no stranger to updating their game. Ed Boon hints Atom trailer this week. CrashTag tells us a little history of the Fighter Ex Layer story and how the newly announced character Blair Dame returns to the series and explains how to get into the upcoming open beta.
    SquareEnix staying up to par with their Dissidia game series releases not a character but a story update using familiar face Noctis and Lighting. Bandai/Arcsys knocks on the door with three new character trailers, Kid Buu, Gotenks, and Adult Gohan. Although these aren't very long videos they tease the DoubleTap team with a can we have more? Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite finally releases the patch notes and not only that we see the three newly anticipated characters become playable. Black Widow, Venom, & Winter Soldier all playing very different but having similarities as Mezza gives you a quick rundown.
    Capcom doesn't hold back and throws you a premium costume deal you do not want to avoid. With PSX Experience around the corner, there are possibilities of also an SFV announcement. Randoms of the FGC always have little intriguing things. This episode stick/game deals, a little hint of Lord Beerus and Wiss spotted in Jump Festa image and more EVO Japan trailers. Mezza & CrashTag give predictions talk about Punk vs. Tokido and so much more in the "Focus Attack", and you don't want to miss it. Rounding off with Mod Highlights the return of Dudley by DeerMod, School girl Laura by BrutalAce, and Ryu as Kazuma Kiryu by Khaledantar666.
