His father Bradley Nowell was the lead singer, songwriter and guitar player in legendary So-Cal punk/reggae/alternative legendary band SUBLIME. Bradley tragically died at age 28 when Jakob was only a 1 year old. Now, Jakob is 28 and is the new lead singer and guitar player for SUBLIME.
