After a long history of being anti-LGBTQ+ the Black community has made strides to accept those that don’t fit on the straight spectrum per say. However, similar to the our episode of Black men supporting Black women, the ladies wanted to give information and perspective as to how and why straight people can be better allies to the LGBTQ+. In today's episode the ladies discuss the difference being a goal digger and a gold digger in both our personal and professional lives. Morgan and Devin also give their opinions on the domestic terrorist threat against Michigan Governor Whitmer. It is deeply saddening and frightening for the Whitmer family that these are the lengths people have gone to over issues that are common sense and not at all political in nature. Those issues of course being bringing an end to police brutality, social injustice, and the coronavirus pandemic. Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Whitmer, and all politicians who attempt to stand with the citizens on these all important issues. Last, but not least, the ladies discuss the 17th NBA Championship won by the Los Angeles Lakers, and led by the greatest of our generation, Lebron James. Congratulations!

Misogynoir is defined as the specific hatred, dislike, distrust, and prejudice directed toward Black women. Misogynoir comes in many forms and much like racism and homophobia, the hatred people belonging to this targeted group is not always overt. Devin and Morgan discuss on this episode of Don’t Be Pressed, the various ways in which Black men are often complicit in the tearing down of Black women. The ladies also discuss ways that Black men who love Black women can better support them by calling out misogynoir when it occurs.

4. 2020 Fashion Trends: Can Men wear a Purse? Oct 02, 2020

Do clothes have a gender? No. In 2020 fashion trends are fluid! Dwyane Wade sports eccentric hair colors and nail art consistently. Zendaya out styles Michael B. Jordan, even though they're wearing the same "male" suit. And Lil' Nas X, among others, is playing with the fashion boundaries by donning one or two dangly earrings. However, if we're are honest with ourselves, testing the boundaries of fashion limits can be seen throughout history. Beginning in the '20s where women challenged the standards of hem length with their skirts, then again with Prince's crop top era and overall challenging of the status quo, all the way to Dennis Rodman bizarre clothing and style choices that many athletes today emulate. Today the ladies discuss the Don't Be Pressed Fam's (soon to be the Diamond Club) likes and dislikes of 2020 fashion trends, as well as what fashion fluidity means to them.
