6. It's a Black Thing, You Wouldn't Understand Oct 15, 2021

In today’s episode Devin and Morgan brought on a long time friend and loyal member of the Diamond Club, Mani, to discuss how to embrace your blackness despite the setting. As Black people we have to fight against a host of stigmas that we are lazy, poor, uneducated, stagnated and immoral. This can be complex trying to exhibit Black Girl Magic in a majority white space, resulting in imposter syndrome. The three ladies take a deep dive into their past experiences growing up with imposter syndrome and even now feeling like there are no safe spaces for you. Tune in to laugh and relate to some goofy stories, but also to possibly learn how to get through a current struggle you are having embracing yourself.

5. How Gay Are You? A Discussion on Coming Out, Allies, Stereotypes and more! Oct 08, 2021

In today’s episode Morgan and Devin began celebrating National Coming Out Day on October 11, 2021 with an episode discussing the stigmas around coming out. As most LGBTQ+ individuals know, coming out is a complex process that differs from person to person. The process is made more difficult due to the stigmas and stereotypes that society has embedded within our psyche. Don’t Be Pressed took time during this episode to express how they feel about stereotypes such as pray the gay way, and how they’ve grown in spite of those stereotypes and stigmas. If you’re currently contemplating coming out or you want to act as an ally for someone in your life who is contemplating coming out. Tune in as these two ladies celebrate National Coming out Day.

According to Oxford dictionary femininity is defined as [uncountable] the fact of being a woman, the qualities that are considered to be typical of women. So unlike the presentation social media and society highlights, femininity is not something one can increase through daily meditations, affirmations, training, or tips. Jordan, even though they're wearing the same "male" suit. And Lil' Nas X, among others, is playing with the fashion boundaries by donning one or two dangly earrings. However, if we're are honest with ourselves, testing the boundaries of fashion limits can be seen throughout history. Beginning in the '20s where women challenged the standards of hem length with their skirts, then again with Prince's crop top era and overall challenging of the status quo, all the way to Dennis Rodman bizarre clothing and style choices that many athletes today emulate.
