DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Tuesday 2/4/20 Feb 04, 2020

Show notes

James and Doug are back for another NBA DFS podcast for cash games on FanDuel and DraftKings.

It's a night filled with terrific big money options, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of cheap options to support them. Russell Westbrook's likely absence opens up some value, but the real art to tonight's plays comes around deciding where you are going to spend top dollar.

Do you go with Harden without Westbrook? How about Giannis in what Vegas sees as a close game? Do you trust Lillard's recent explosion, even in a tough match-up with Denver?

Doug and James go through it all, and talk about the high level strategies involved in approaching a complicated slate like this.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Thursday 1/30/20 Jan 30, 2020

Show notes

The DFSR guys take to the NBA podcast to break down the Thursday slate of FanDuel and DraftKings action.

For a six-game slate there’s plenty to dive into with some injury situations out there that will provide some value for some teams while making some other ones stayaways.

The Raptors will be without Marc Gasol making Serge Ibaka a chalk play across both sites, but the guys also discuss what that means for Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam against the Cavaliers.

Then there’s the Bradley Beal play against the Hornets and the guys discuss projection strategies around guys like him who’ve had great short term results.

All of this and much more on a packed NBA podcast.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Wednesday 1/29/20 Jan 29, 2020

Show notes

It's a relatively quiet six game slate of NBA DFS tonight, but it still has plenty of question marks surrounding it, and the DFSR team is here to break it all down.

How does Oladipo's return affect the Pacers? Is he playable on FanDuel at $4,000? How can we navigate the Rockets/Trail Blazers game, which has both the highest total AND the greatest uncertainty with the Rockets' "big three" all having missed last game?

Thankfully there is some higher floor value lurking in the Memphis/New York game, the Detroit/Brooklyn game, and in San Antonio.

Still, there is a lot to discuss, so be sure to tune in and hear Doug and James make sense of it all.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Tuesday 1/28/20 Jan 28, 2020

Show notes

The DFSR team is back with another DFS NBA cash game podcast for Tuesday's 8 game slate.

Tonight's slate is shaping up to be a weird one, with relatively few obvious punt plays and a general lack of truly exciting big money plays as well. It's rare that we will recommend selecting mostly mid-range plays, but that's how it's coming together for us now.

With the Raptors in a great spot against the Hawks, there's a strong case to be made for playing any of Lowry, VanVleet, Siakam, and Gasol. Going the other way, Trae had a great game when these teams met a week ago as well.

Our system sees Zion as a pretty clear cut cash game play tonight, but the rest of power forward is looking a little bit tough. We're also looking at some prospective Celtics value tonight if Tatum were to wind up sitting.

Tune in for some great hoops discussion, and as always head on over to https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals for access to the projection system that powers these podcasts.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Thursday 1/23/20 Jan 23, 2020

Show notes

Doug and James settle in for a tiny three game slate, but it's not one without its fair share of questions. Will Davis be on a minutes restriction on the second half of a back to back? Will CJ McCollum play, and if he does, how will that affect the rest of the Trail Blazers?

Is this a night where you can actually trust the Cavs in a league best match-up against the Wizards? What's going on with the Mavs now that Dwight Powell is done for the season?

There's a lot to talk about, so make sure to tune in and hear the DFSR team's thoughts.

Hey, it's only three games, so they also wind up discussing the other important things in life, like Zion's debut, and James' upcoming Magic: the Gathering tournament.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Wednesday 1/22/20 Jan 22, 2020

Show notes

After a day off on Tuesday, the NBA is back with a vengeance with a massive 12 game slate of action on Wednesday.

The potential debut of Zion Williamson has people buzzing, but for DFS purposes we're focusing on other things tonight.

It's certainly a night to look for overwhelming value, with plays like Kemba Walker, Buddy Hield, Donovan Mitchell, Monte Morris, and Marvin Bagley still looking very under-priced. While we aren't forecasting a lot of true sub-$4,000 plays to enable a stars and scrubs strategy, you should be able to capture enough excellent mid-range value to play either Harden or LeBron.

Which of the superstars to play is sort of a debate here, with Doug and James taking opposite sides on the discussion.

Tune in to hear a break down of every single game on the slate, and all you need to know before jumping in to contests on FanDuel and DraftKings.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Thursday 1/9/20 Jan 09, 2020

Show notes

It's just a four game slate of NFL DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings, but there are still a lot of interesting decisions to make.

With Joel Embiid out for the Sixers, which of the remaining players should show up in our cash game lineups? Is something up with Al Horford? Is Ben Simmons a must? There's a lot to break down.

There's a lot of sneaky DFS value in the Cleveland/Detroit game, which is a rematch of their Tuesday meeting. In that game Love, Drummond, and Rose were excellent. Should we go back to the well?

You have the ever-questionable Karl-Anthony Towns, CP3 and Russ going against their old teams, and more! For just four games, there sure is a lot to talk about.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Thursday 1/2/20 Jan 02, 2020

Show notes

We have an oddly large 9 game slate of NBA games tonight, and the DFSR team is here to break down every single game on the slate.

Tonight is an odd one, because it blends a sea of great cheap options (mostly from the Minnesota-Golden State game) with very few big money plays to go with them. As a result, Luka Doncic is a heavy favorite to be nearly unanimously owned.

After the obvious plays from Minnesota and Golden State, though, things do get a bit more difficult. How much can we trust the minutes from the Clippers/Pistons game, where the Clippers are favored by 12? Andre Drummond has played 36+ minutes in back to back games where the Pistons got blown out, but is that really sustainable? Going the other way, Paul George, Lou Williams, and Kawhi Leonard are great plays if they can get their full rotation of minutes, but how likely is that?

All in all, it promises to be a weird one. Make sure to join Doug and James to hear their thoughts.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Tuesday 12/17/19 Dec 17, 2019

Show notes

Doug and James are back to break down a solid six game slate of NBA DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings! There's a lot of looming injury news, so the guys do their best to give you a sense of where you should start looking as you prepare to put in lineups tonight.

The biggest news on the slate concerns Anthony Davis' availability. If he were to sit, you'd instantly see LeBron James become a chalk option. But he's not the only big name with questionable status tonight, with Lou Williams, Devin Booker, and Patrick Beverley all wearing the questionable tag as well. JJ Redick has already been ruled out, which will open up wing minutes for the Pelicans.

And then there are guys like Mike Conely and DeAndre Ayton returning to the fold for their teams, which could negatively effect the other guys on their team from a fantasy perspective.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Wednesday 12/11/19 Dec 11, 2019

Show notes

James and Doug are back with a game by game breakdown for Wednesday massive NBA DFS slate for FanDuel and DraftKings.

It's a strange night, since there are a lot of excellent big money options (Harden, Giannis, Brow, LeBron, among others) but not a lot of great cheap plays to enable paying up.

You have a tricky point guard decision on your hands too, with Rubio, Lowry, and Dinwiddie being the exact same price in very different situations.

With a decent amount of value coming off the table (Kawhi playing, Baynes returning, Bagley returning, Golden State running their stars), tonight has the potential to be a very tricky one, so be sure to hop in our members' only chatroom tonight!
