DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Wednesday 3/11/19 Mar 11, 2020

Show notes

Doug and James are back with another NBA DFS podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel.

It's one of the weirder nights in recent memory, in large part because as of this recording there is almost no obvious value jumping off the page. On nights like these, the most important skill becomes seeing the shades of gray between solid but unexciting plays like Chris Paul, Lonzo Ball, and De'Aaron Fox. It comes down to making a decision between going after high upside, more volatile options like Julius Randle or safer options like John Collins.

While there might not be a lot of great value on this slate, there is no shortage of important decisions, so be sure to tune in and get the low down from DFSR's NBA experts.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Tuesday 3/10/20 Mar 10, 2020

Show notes

Doug and James are back to break down a rather sizable nine game slate of NBA DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings.

After a wild Monday slate (which featured the Bucks changing their minds a half a dozen times before and after lineup lock), we're hoping to settle into a little more sanity on Tuesday.

At this point in the day there isn't a lot of obvious extremely cheap value on the slate. The Bulls' guards, the Suns' guards, and perhaps Aron Baynes, but after that it's looking like we're just going to need to find solid plays in good match-ups. The big question mark of the day surrounds where we should be paying up, with the best options on paper (the Rockets and Lakers) having significant blow out risk.

Tonight should be anything but obvious, so be sure to tune in and then hop in DFSR's members only chatroom tonight by heading over to https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Thursday 3/5/20 Mar 05, 2020

Show notes

The DFSR team is back to break down a modest four game slate of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings!

It's a short slate, but not one without a number of questions. The big issue tonight is finding out the Toronto news, with the potential presence or absence of Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka looming large over this slate. Doug and James break down how you should approach the slate if you have news about those guys, and how you should approach it if you don't.

Thankfully we have some solid Philly value with Embiid, Simmons, and Richardson still sidelined, but things are tough after that. Can we run Harden into the Clippers meat grinder? Is Kawhi too expensive with the rest of his team healthy? And just who on Earth can we possibly play at center on FanDuel?

Join the DFSR team as they try to unravel it all.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Wednesday 3/4/20 Mar 04, 2020

Show notes

James and Doug are back to talk about an action packed 9 game slate of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings.

It's an odd slate for a couple of reasons. First of all, there is a sea of potential value tonight, with big names missing from the Celtics, Cavs, and Pistons. There are also some younger guys taking on bigger roles, like Ja Morant and Caris Levert, that leave us with a lot of savings.

Unfortunately there are only a couple of viable pay-up options, with Bradley Beal and Luka Doncic serving as the headliners there.

Be sure to tune in and hear how the DFSR team plans to navigate what is shaping up to be a pretty tricky slate.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Thursday 2/27/20 Feb 27, 2020

Show notes

Doug and James are back to break down a four game slate of NBA DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings.

While there are only four games going, there is plenty of value flying around on this one. With Lillard, Embiid, LeBron, and Simmons already ruled out the question is not whether we have solid punt options, but which of them we will wind up playing.

Anthony Davis and CJ McCollum should wind up being chalk options, but how do we fill in around them? Do we go with Horford or Kuzma at the power forward spot? After Rajon Rondo, who gets that last point guard position?

It's another tricky slate, so be sure to tune in and find out where the guys are leaning, and as always you can chat with them directly by grabbing a free one week trial to our projection system over at https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals.

The DFSR team is back to break down a wild night in the world of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Tonight is shaping up to be a night where you're going to want to be greedy, with a slew of value options that you just don't see on a normal night. Simmons' absence in Philly, Kyrie's continued absence for a Nets team with a great match-up against the Wiz, and Lamarcus Aldridge's absence are only the beginning, and the DFSR lineup optimizer is forecasting near record cash line totals tonight.

This isn't a slate where you're going to want to show up at 6PM EST and hope to make a good lineup. Start your preparation now by listening to the DFSR NBA podcast.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Thursday 2/20/20 Feb 20, 2020

Show notes

The DFSR team is back with a game by game breakdown for Thursday's DFS NBA slate on FanDuel and DraftKings!

After a week off from regular season games, you'd think that there'd be a lot of clarity around player availability tonight, but unfortunately that isn't the case. There are two key pieces of information in terms of Derrick Rose's minutes limit and Eric Gordon's general availability that will greatly influence how tonight's slate goes, and the guys discuss how each of those dominoes will impact our DFS lineups.

Another main theme of the podcast is how we should approach blowout risk tonight, with half of the games featuring 8+ point spreads and the other games featuring teams with their own question marks.

All in all it's a tough slate to break down, so be sure to hear DFSR's expert takes before proceeding.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Tuesday 2/11/20 Feb 11, 2020

Show notes

The DFSR team is back to break down a five game slate of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings.

We have some premier match-ups for basketball purposes that don't have a lot of DFS value in the Clippers/Philly game and the Houston/Boston game, though there are certainly a few good one offs from those games.

Then we have some teams in great match-ups that we'll be focusing on quite a bit more. The Bulls don't have a ton of great DFS plays from night to night, but you can certainly consider LaVine, Young, Hutchison, or Satoransky. Going the other way is tough, but Beal and Bertans certainly have value.

Our goal for the Portland/New Orleans game is going to be to get in as many Blazers as possible, with the real question being which of the starters winds up being the odd man out. The guys also discuss where Zion fits in tonight, as he hasn't exactly paid his current prices but does get a truly great match-up against the under-sized Portland front court.

It's a tough slate, but there's certainly value to be had.

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Plays for Thursday 2/6/20 Feb 06, 2020

Show notes

The DFSR team is back to break down a five game slate of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings.

This slate is reminiscent of Tuesday's, where there are a lot of great big money plays with very few cheap plays to help afford them. The big outstanding news surrounds the Houston Rockets, as the statuses of new arrival Robert Covington and the banged up Russell Westbrook are as yet unknown.

The slate only gets weirder from there. Can we play Knicks in a bad match-up with the Magic, given that the game should at least be close? How about some fairly priced Magic going the other way? Can we expect a Super-Dame bounceback?

The guys discuss all this, and more!
