Mike Massotto is the founder and CEO of Staff Driven Dental. 582 Managing TMD and Orofacial Pain with Eric Schiffman : Dentistry Uncensored with Howard Farran Nov 30, 2016

Eric Schiffman is a professor in the Division of TMD and Orofacial Pain at the University of Minnesota. He has received over $14 million in research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and has over 50 publications. He has lectured locally, nationally and internationally on topics pertaining to the prevalence, etiology, diagnosis, and management of patients with TMD. Past research includes developing and publishing revised validated Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD) for the most common TMD - for use in both the clinical and research settings. Past research in TMD management includes assessing the long-term effectiveness, in symptomatic closed lock patients, of self-care compared to comprehensive rehabilitation with and without TMJ surgery. His recent research assessed the longitudinal impact of TMJ intra-articular disorders on jaw pain, function and disability. He is currently the principal investigator in a National Dental Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) study that is assessing the management of TMD patients by dentists in their practices. He is the inventor and co-owner of the Restful Jaw Company maker of the Restful Jaw device (restfuljaw.com) used to support the jaw during dental treatments. Finally, he is a co-owner of the inter-disciplinary Minnesota Head and Neck Pain Clinic where he manages TMD and Orofacial Pain patients.

Karen Siebert is a part-time clinical instructor and adjunct faculty at the College of Lake County in Waukegan, Illinois, teaching courses in oral pathology and the dental hygiene process of care for patients presenting with medical concerns/special needs. She is a 1985 graduate of the University of Iowa, BSDH, and a 2012 graduate of the University of Illinois Springfield with a MA in Educational Leadership. Prior to finding her passion in dental hygiene education, Karen practiced clinically, implementing non-surgical periodontal programs and managing dental hygiene departments in two practices.

Karen's career endeavors have expanded to include lead clinical educator for American Eagle Instruments, writing/presenting curriculum for continuing education courses and webinars, as well as articles focusing on both clinical applications and current technology that help us serve patients with the highest quality of care and achieve career longevity for ourselves. His myofunctional journey began in 2007 by working under the Founder and CEO of MRC, and he has since lectured across 5 continents and has published in orthodontic and pediatric journals around the world. Dr. Glazer is a Fellow and Past President of the Academy of General Dentistry, and former Assistant Clinical Professor in Dentistry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY). He has been a visiting clinician at several universities around the country including: SUNY - Buffalo, Univ. of Minnesota, Univ. of California - San Francisco, Univ. of Texas - Houston, Univ. of Florida - Gainesville, and the Univ. of Missouri - Kansas City. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists; International College of Dentists; American Society for Dental Aesthetics, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Glazer is an Attending Dentist at the Englewood Hospital (Englewood, NJ). Additionally, Dr. Glazer is the Deputy Chief Forensic Dental Consultant to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, City of New York.

For the past several years, Dr. Glazer has been named as one of the "Leading Clinicians in Continuing Education" by Dentistry Today, and most recently was named as one of the Top Dentists in New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly magazine. He lectures throughout the United States, Latin America, Canada, Europe, Scandinavia, India, Korea, Japan, Israel and China, on the subjects of cosmetic dentistry, forensic dentistry and patient management. Dr. Glazer is a frequent author of dental articles and has been published throughout the world. Currently he publishes a monthly column in AGD IMPACT entitled "What's Hot and What's Getting Hotter!" Dr. Willey is a Diplomate with the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines, a Diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and serves on the Board of Directors for the Dental Division of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. He has dedicated his practice to treating sleep disordered breathing, snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, and oral facial pain (TMD). His career path has taken him from general dentistry to the study of functional orthodontics at the United States Dental Institute, to Neuromuscular Occlusion from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, to treatment of Obstructive sleep Apnea with Oral Appliance Therapy. All of these areas deal significantly with the neuromuscular positioning of the lower jaw and have proven to be a natural progression in his post graduate studies. He is the founder and developer of the Koala Center for Sleep Disorders and follows strict medical and dental guidelines for treatment and medical insurance reimbursements for patients. Dr. Willey is a national speaker for conventions and workshops with colleagues and students.
