Thanksgiving Special: For the Least of These Nov 21, 2022
    Show notes

Since the great war on poverty began in the 1960s, the poverty rate for blacks has not changed. Yet, the same politicians who claim they can break the cycle of poverty keep pushing the same failed policies.

That's why in this episode of Cure America with Star Parker, I lead a panel of Christians who work in public policy who believe we should take a Biblical point-of-view to finally break the cycle of poverty. It's the one method that I know, first-hand, actually works.

Join us by listening and sharing this important episode, Breaking the Cycle of Poverty, with your church members and all your friends on social media.

Guests include Dr. Anne Bradley with The Fund for American Studies, Jonathan Alexandre with Liberty Counsel Action, Joel Griffith with The Heritage Foundation, and Rev. Tim Latiff, who is the former Director of the Clergy Center at the Center for Urban Renewal and Education.

    Show notes

Richard Manning and Jonathan Alexandre are back on the panel, as together with Star Parker, they seek to sort through the noise of the news following the immediate aftermath of the election.

Midterm Elections and the battle for Congress Nov 07, 2022
    Show notes

We're joined by Ed Corrigan, President and CEO of the Conservative Partnership Institute, who has decades of experience inside Capitol Hill. He takes us through some of the inner workings of Congress following an election, and why too often we see newly elected politicians change their tune once they arrive in D.C. Jonathan Alexandre and Richard Manning are back on the panel to discuss key issues this election, including the rising and concerning impact of crime across America. Delano Squires, Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and contributor for Blaze TV, sheds light on how the Democratic Party is starting to lose the Black vote. To sift through all of this, and seek the truth on how we cure our culture and nation, CURE's Raheem Williams guides us through the noise of the news and the facts facing our nation moving forward.

Delving into the 2022 Midterm Elections Part II Oct 31, 2022
    Show notes

Sorting through the noise of the news can always be a daunting task, but this is especially true in the weeks leading up to an election. With the midterm elections on the horizon, this week on CURE America, regular panelist Jonathan Alexandre steps in to guest host part two of the show's series delving into all the news of what we're seeing this election and the critical issues on everyone's mind heading into the voting booth.

Jonathan is joined by Ed Goeas, a partner of the Tarrance Group, who has been an award-winning top pollster for decades and co-manages the Georgetown University Battleground Poll. Goeas takes us through what we're seeing in the latest polls going into the midterms, how we've seen these polls change in recent months, and the issues that have impacted Americans the most. Jonathan is also joined by Brooklyn Roberts, Senior Director of the Health and Human Services Task Force at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), as she takes us deeper into the impact rising inflation is having on healthcare costs. Richard Manning, President of Americans for Limited Government, is back on the panel, joined by CURE's own Raheem Williams, as they sort through all of this and more this week on CURE America.

Delving into the 2022 Midterm Elections Oct 24, 2022
    Show notes

Midterm elections are only a few weeks away. In this critical moment, it is time to evaluate the state of our nation, the turbulent two years that brought us here, and the new leadership we desperately need. This week on CURE America with Star Parker, Star invites longtime panelist Jonathan Alexandre from Liberty Counsel for a one-on-one discussion heading into the midterms. Together they dive into some of the serious issues on the top of voters minds heading into the voting booth. Star and Jonathan also take time to discuss the importance of voting our faith and our values, and why we unfortunately see far too many voters not doing so. As Jonathan states, "Don't raise your hand in worship with one hand, and then fill a ballot for government to usurp its God given role with another."

Combatting Liberal Indoctrination through Education Choice Sep 12, 2022
    Show notes

Parents have natural and divine rights given to them as mother and father of their child. So what happens when those rights are interfered with and threatened? This week on CURE America, Jonathan Alexandre is back as guest host with a ton of new guests to discuss the current state of parental rights in America.

Through the confines of COVID, more and more parents are becoming aware of just what that means, as the Left continues its assault of a woke ideology on our society, and perhaps most importantly, in our classrooms. Jamison Coppola with the Parental Rights Foundation, as well as Janae Stracke with Heritage Action for America, take us through the growing fight taking place at school board meetings and the grassroots movement to equip parents to fight for their right and role in their child's education. Jamison Coppola with the American Association of Christian Schools takes us through some of the legislation making its way, on both sides of the fight, across the states, as well as the increasing intrusion by government into the religious liberty of Christian schools. Alfonso Aguilar is back, alongside CURE's own Marty Dannenfelser, to discuss Biden's brazen and divisive speech on the "Soul of America."

    A Society of Sacred v.s. Secular Sep 06, 2022

With the latest unconstitutional action by President Biden in cancelling student debt, we see just how far the Left is willing to go in literally buying the approval and support of so many Americans. Is this really the way to build a nation of strong character and a thriving, efficient economy? To look deeper into the far-reaching consequences this abuse of power will have on our economy and the future of higher education, Neal McCluskey, Director of Cato's Center for Educational Freedom, is back on the show to shed light on how these actions are even worse than what was previously imagined.

And as the breakdown of American ideals, freedom, and responsibility continue to collapse, we're also joined by David Closson, Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council, as he walks us through the divisions we are seeing in society today and the current state of the pew and the pulpit in America. Alongside regular panelists Jonathan Alexandre and Alfonso Aguilar, a closer look is taken this week on CURE America with Star Parker on how a nation can remain intact when large parts of the population increasingly have opposing views on how they see the world.

Untangling the Inflation Reduction Act Aug 23, 2022
    Show notes

Now that the so called "Inflation Reduction Act" has been signed into law, what will we see? Will this actually reduce inflation, or is it just more government control that all taxpayers will pay for?

Joining us this week on CURE America with Star Parker, Economist and President of Americans for Tax Reform, Grover Norquist, takes us through the weeds of what all is hidden and happening inside this new law – and what it will cost us. Regular panelist Jonathan Alexandre with Liberty Counsel discusses the recent massive win they've had in protecting the religious rights of healthcare workers to not be forced into taking a vaccine. Alfonso Aguilar is back, warning of the signs of socialism and where the road goes from here as CURE America sheds further light on this wish list of the Left that has now become American law.

The Inflation Reduction Act - Bracing for Impact Aug 16, 2022
    Show notes

Democrats want big government, a lot of spending and taxation, the former of which we are now paying for in inflation, so the new strategy of Democrats is to now claim that spending and taxes reduce inflation.

And now, legislation with a price tag of $433 billion in new spending and $327 billion in new taxes is becoming law. It's called the Inflation Reduction Act, and it's like McDonald's serving up a new Big Mac with more beef, more cheese and more sauce, and calling it the Weight Watchers Special.

So, Lee Schalk, Vice President of Policy at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), joins CURE America with Star Parker to walk us through the new spending, the new taxes, and the many new issues now coming our way (including 87,000 new IRS agents!) Alfonso Aguilar and Jonathan Alexandre are back once again, to take us through how this monstrosity of a bill will soon impact our lives, as well as the new developments in the fight to protect unborn life.
