Black Americans, Remain True to Our God Feb 14, 2023
    Show notes

Every year, in the month of February, we pause to take a look at African-American History, to think of the African-American story and how it involves the grand American story. However, in our society today, so much is coming around now trying to dictate what that story was and is. So this week on CURE America, we take that pause – not to solely sift through the noise of the news as we normally do, but this time to sift through the noise of history as well. We're joined by Delano Squires, Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and contributor of The Blaze. Delano takes us through the story and ideals of the man Frederick Douglass, and how the actions of the Left today are not just a contrast to this hero's ideals - they're in direct opposition to his messages of freedom and uplifting the individual, not uplifting the government. Lakuita Bittle, Director of Attorney Ministries at the Christian Legal Society, highlights the profile of another hero in the story, Harriet Tubman, and the great work of the Christian Legal Society in uplifting individuals to safeguard life and liberty. Pastor Dan Crabtree of the Immanuel Bible Church takes us through his recent book, "A House Without Walls: How Christ Unites His Ethnically Divided Church," and how the greatest truth will always remain in the gospel, and how that truth unites us, regardless of race and background. In the midst of honoring these legacies and stories, we take a moment to sift through President Biden's State of the Union Speech, with Richard Manning having CURE's Marty Dannenfelser join him on the panel. All is guest hosted once again by Jonathan Alexandre, who guides us on an analysis and appreciation of the people and stories within African-American History.

Navigating the Cultural and Faith Landscape. Feb 06, 2023
    Show notes

With recent headlines from Memphis and other cities across the country – continued questions regarding our culture and where our society stands when it comes to faith and principle have joined the national discussion once again.

So this week on CURE America with Star Parker, Kevin Mcgary joins the show. Mcgary is the co-founder of Every Black Life Matters, a parent and community advocates group dedicated to eliminating divisive and destructive racial identity-based practices, such as Critical Race Theory that targets children, in addition to advocating pro-life issues, healing the divide in our communities, and other critical issues. Mcgary shares with us his new book "WOKEd Up!" and the history that has led to moments like this.

Jonathan Alexandre and Richard Manning are back as always, taking us through today's headlines and the breakdown of culture, faith, and family that continues to lead too many to violence.

To rest in His grace and not forget the work that is to be done, Star sits down with Reverend Elmo Winters and Therese Winters from the KINGDOM Group International. Possessing a powerful love and passion for all, this married couple have actively shared the reconciling Gospel of Christ throughout the world, planting churches and trained pastors in Russia, Kenya, Mexico, and the US.

Medicare & Medicaid: A Bitter Pill to Swallow Jan 30, 2023
    Show notes

Grace-Marie Turner is a leading mind when it comes to free-market ideas for health policy reform. In leading the fundamentally needed change that is required on these issues, she's widely recognized as one of the most influential people in Washington, D.C.

This week on CURE America with Star Parker, Star sits down with Grace-Marie for a long discussion to dive into the issues afflicting Medicaid expansion and Medicare. The Founder and President of the Galen Institute, Grace-Marie takes us through the history that led us here, analyzing the current government waste that continues to get worse, and what solutions are needed to pull through towards better healthcare at a better cost, providing freedom and choice counter to dominion and control of government.

Richard Manning and Jonathan Alexandre are back, discussing what began with President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the problems that have persisted towards government waste and dependency that have run rampant. Star and Richard also take time to provide exciting news – the coming update of their 2019 book "Necessary Noise: How Donald Trump Inflames the Culture War and Why This Is Good News for America."

Pressing into Government with the hope of positive change Jan 23, 2023
    Show notes

With so much happening in D.C. and in the media, this week on CURE America Jonathan Alexandre is back in the guest host seat with several guests to sort through the noise of the news and find the truth.

EJ Antoni joins us once again from the Heritage Foundation to make sense of what's happening with the debt limit, and more importantly, what needs to be done to move towards a path of financial stability. Dan Stein from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is back on the show as well to take us through Biden's recent visit to the southern border, just how dire the situation is getting, and the lack of leadership or even acknowledgement from the Left (the Secretary of Homeland Security seems to be very proud of a new app they designed, even though it breaks the law). Richard Manning is joined by Phil Kerpen from American Commitment and the Committee to Unleash Prosperity to guide us through what we've heard from our experts. Jonathan ends the show by sitting down with Pastor Charles Moodie and his wife to hear their story, their testimony, and how God led them to move to the south side of Chicago and speak his Gospel and do His work, including with a new maternity house to aide mothers who are expecting.

With the annual March for Life on the horizon, this week on CURE America with Star Parker, we dive into the current state of pro-life in the post-Roe era.

Stephen Billy, Vice President of State Affairs at Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, joins to tell us what we've seen in legislation at the state level. Raheem Williams, a policy analyst at CURE, takes us through the upcoming release of CURE's annual report "The Impact of Abortion on the Black Community." In the data and insight that Raheem shares, one statistic stands out above all else – how many lives have been saved as a result of these pro-life efforts.

Richard Manning and Jonathan Alexandre are of course back, as they discuss with Star what they've seen in recent pro-life headlines. The panel also takes time to sift through the noise of the news that we all heard recently as the U.S. House of Representatives voted for its news Speaker.

Africans Fight Back Against Abortion Jan 09, 2023
    Show notes

On Cure America with Star Parker this week we show you of some very courageous women and men in Africa who are appealing to the Biden Administration to turn the abortion promotion spigot off. Frankly, the truth behind the abortion expansion plan of organizations like the Gates Foundation and of the Biden administration is to target our world's poor and uneducated with their more enlightened and elite views of whether they should be having children. What is their reasoning? That it's good for the environment and will alleviate climate change; and that it's good for the poor, whose children are better off dead than birthed into poverty. Watch and share this important discussion this week about the promotion of abortion in Africa with my panel and two professional friends to help us find answers to some extremely alarming questions. Guests include Ryan Bomberger, founder of The Radiance Foundation, Rebecca Oas, Ph.D., Director of Research for the Center for Family and Human Rights, and Mary Szoch, Director of the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council.

Christmas Special: A story of Faith, Freedom and Personal Responsibility Dec 16, 2022
    Show notes

Christmas around the world is a celebration of our Savior, a celebration that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our sins against us. God's proof that he loves us enough to die for us. God's proof that he is not mad at us, but came as the propitiation of our sin, to wash us to forgive us, from all of our sin.

So for this week on CURE America, Star Parker shares her own testimony of what she believes, why she believes it, and what brought her to our nation's capital to start the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE). With Jonathan Alexandre as host, we go through the history of Star and CURE, the issues at the forefront of America, how they impact our most distressed communities, and the work that Star and CURE continue on in the dedication of restoring faith, freedom, and personal responsibility.

National Religious Broadcasters: Past, Present & Future Dec 12, 2022
    Show notes

This week on CURE America with Star Parker, we hear about the NRB organization, its past, present, and future, and the mission and work of the organization that is becoming more important by the day in our current society. Star sits down with NRB CEO and President Troy Miller, who not only tells us about NRB and the issues today with religious communications and the breakdown of our culture – he also tells us his story. A veteran who served with distinction in the US Navy from 1983-1988, Miller's story of experience and hard work took him around the world, through not just the Navy, but also his work with the computer company Gateway and his work with the Dr. James Kennedy Ministries. In his own words, he points to how his own story is proof of God's amazing plan, and how you can never know, just by looking at the present, what the future may hold. Even looking at our culture and society now, Miller reminds us of the work to be done today and the ever present hope of the future.

Keeping a Watchful Eye on Government in this Next Year Dec 05, 2022
    Show notes

As Americans hear news of a "fiscal cliff," we see COVID news take over headlines once again. In what has always been described as "the most wonderful time of year," the noise of the news reflects anything but. This week on CURE America, Jonathan Alexandre is back in the guest host seat. Baker Spring from Compact for America brings his decades of federal budget experience to the show to help us sort through the decisions before Congress, what's likely to happen, and the potential impact for all Americans. We also have Phil Kerpen back on the show, from American Commitment and the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. Is the news we're hearing about COVID more of the reality we've been told to expect or is it more geared towards the usual scare tactics and methods of government control? Kerpen takes us through his research and what we've learned after well over two years. Richard Manning is back on the panel, along with CURE's policy analyst Raheem Williams, as we dive into the messages and issues being uncovered, and seek the truth amongst the never ending cycle of news and government.
