    Roe v. Wade - America's Dark Ages May 17, 2022
    Show notes

This week on Power, Poverty & Politics with Star Parker, we sort through all of the noise of the news coverage on the decisions coming out of the Supreme Court and its profound impact on the future of our nation. The conversation continues on the potential overturn of the key pro-abortion case, Roe v. Wade, as we discuss the historical impact of abortion on all Americans, as well as its significant targeting of Black communities.

Kassie Dulin, Director of Government Affairs and Counsel of the First Liberty Institute, joins this week to discuss the Supreme Court's weighing in on the First Amendment protections of high school prayer at a football game. Along with our weekly expert analysts, Jonathan Alexandre and Richard Manning, we examine the recent Supreme Court ruling on the city of Boston violating the First Amendment rights of a group seeking to briefly raise a Christian flag at City Hall as a part of a city program celebrating Boston's greater community.

    Roe v. Wade: A Closing Chapter May 10, 2022
    Show notes

Our American compassion, our moral compass, has gone awry. A child growing up in America today looks around and finds himself or herself in a nation where debt is larger than the entire economy, and still growing. But just as inflation shows that the costs of fiscal irresponsibility cannot be hidden, so the costs of teaching our youth that personal responsibility is irrelevant cannot be hidden. It manifests in the destructive behavior we see now.

This week, on Power, Poverty & Politics with Star Parker, we're joined by Neal McCluskey, the Director of the Center for Educational Freedom at CATO, to discuss the push by the Biden Administration for student loan forgiveness. We're also joined by Mallory Carroll, Vice President of Communications for the Susan B. Anthony List, to walk us through the recent leaked opinion by the Supreme Court in the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

    Crisis at the U.S. Southern Border, A Pre-Calculated Scheme May 03, 2022
    Show notes

Just days after the tragic news of a Texas National Guardsman drowning after saving the lives of two illegal immigrants crossing the Rio Grande, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas testifies before several congressional committees that the Biden Administration has "effectively managed" the ongoing border crisis. In this episode of Power, Poverty & Politics we bring you CURE America with Star Parker's TV Show, where we sort through the noise of the news to find some truth in this ongoing crisis, not just to shed light on the critical failures of this current Administration, and its severe impact on so many Americans, but also to find the solutions towards curing this complex crisis.

Star is joined by Dan Stein, the President of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), who takes us through the history of immigration reform in our nation and his decades of work towards a stronger border. Our weekly expert panelists, Jonathan Alexandre from Liberty Counsel Action and Richard Manning from Americans for Limited Government, weigh in as we analyze the current situation for our border agents on the frontlines and look ahead to the outcome for our nation if we are to stay on our current path.

The Czar of Inflation and His Woke Banking Apr 26, 2022
    Show notes

The chaotic noise of the Left continues on with the Biden administration taking new action to instill their woke ideology in our banking system and increase the power of governmental control.

This week on Power, Poverty & Politics, Star Parker dives into the weeds of these new actions under the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau with analysis and insight from Diana Furchtgott-Roth an Adjunct Professor of Economics at George Washington University. Combining her decades of economic policy experience in and out of the White House along with her work at the university, Furchtgott-Roth reminds us of the pivotal role education plays in our free markets. Our regular expert panelists Jonathan Alexandre and Richard Manning expand on the politics at play, the role of the church, and the Left's continued march on "diversity and inclusion."

The Global, Spiritual Struggle of Good and Evil Mar 04, 2022
    Show notes

"Our nation, too, has a legacy of evil with which it must deal. The glory of this land has been its capacity for transcending the moral evils of our past." President Reagan spoke these words in March 1983, a speech which he famously called the Soviet Union the "evil empire." But as we see the Russia of today attempt to retread its past, a perspective is gained when we refocus on what is going on in our own country. In fact, that refocus is needed, if we are to understand a retreated America on the global stage and an emboldened despot in the spotlight.

Black Voters Abandoning Biden Feb 25, 2022
    Show notes

Poll after poll continues to show President Biden's drastic drop in national approval. An even steeper drop in support has emerged from some of the Democratic Party's most reliable supporters – Black voters. With approval among Blacks plummeting, what failures and policies of the Biden administration have driven this change? How have these actions by the White House and the Democratic Party negatively impacted the lives of Black Americans specifically? Blacks are clearly taking notice, but is the Biden Administration taking notice of the very real issues with which Black Americans are struggling, especially the issues with which the Left created themselves.

Black History Month and the Lessons of Sin Feb 23, 2022
    Show notes

To answer the question of why we have Black History Month, we must first understand Black history. Every conversation of Black history of course includes the saga of slavery, but it must also include the story of sin. We must not neglect our founding principles and the truth of man and our Creator in our history. In doing so, far too many today distort the lessons of our history for their own gain. But when we look at the full truth of this history, what lessons can we learn?

    Biden's Latest Anti-Freedom Nominee Feb 11, 2022
    Show notes

The job of our Federal Reserve Board of Governors is quite simple – to supervise a smooth-running economy and banking system. Biden's latest radical nominee sees her role as more prophetic. Sarah Bloom Raskin represents another attempt to use the government to pick winners and losers in our economy. Despite what the Left thinks, it's not the job of our government to decide which industries will flourish and which will fail. It is the free market, not the wishes and imposing ideologies of progressives, that has a record as long as the history of our nation itself in creating prosperity. The blessings of liberty, not power, must be secured.

Race and Respect: The Reality of Biden's Nominee Pledge Feb 07, 2022
    Show notes

Opinions have quickly been formed, on the Right and the Left, regarding President Biden's pledge to have his Supreme Court Justice nominee be an African-American woman. But is this decision, and the situation surrounding it, really so black and white? In this podcast, Star Parker dives into the realities of race in consideration for judicial nominations by looking at its past, and exploring the complex history and cultural reality of our nation that rest alongside our ideals.
