    Crossing the Streams with Brent and Aaron

    Most of us older than 30 remember mix tapes and the time we spent meticulously curating the perfect collection of songs to introduce friends to new music. The mediums we grew up on have moved to streaming services and playlists, but the sentiment still rings true. Every Monday, Aaron and Brent trade songs to find out what has changed and what will never change. Music is ever-evolving, but the fingerprints of the past are always present. Founded in 2001 by Scott Robinson and Dan Herrington and headquartered in Nashville, Aaron highlights three songs from the new tribute album, "Amerikinda 20 Years Of Dualtone", which celebrates the artists of the Dualtone Music Group. Created as a way to help a fellow musician with her medical bills after an MS diagnosis, Brent spotlights three songs from the 1993 benefit album "Sweet Relief: A Benefit for Victoria Williams".

    In Episode 76, Aaron and Brent discuss music from two different English rock bands, one from Brighton and the other from Nottingham. With just a drummer and a bassist, who uses a unique technique to make his bass sound like a standard electric guitar and bass at the same time, Aaron highlights three songs from Royal Blood. Gaining mainstream attention after a career-making performance at the original Woodstock Festival in 1969, Brent looks at three songs from Alvin Lee and Ten Years After.
