Joel Kim Booster Married His First & Only Post-Pandemic Hookup | Coastal Idiots - Episode 066 Oct 06, 2026

Show notes

Comedian, actor, and writer Joel Kim Booster came to Coastal Idiots and immediately proved he's lived several completely different lives. He married his first post-lockdown hookup, grew up hunting and shooting guns which evolved into taking his wedding party to a gun range years later, and recently totaled his car while arguing with his husband. The Idiots Crew also get into Marvel movies, impossibly jacked superheroes, getting older in comedy, and a game involving adopted celebrities that probably sounded much more reasonable before they started playing it. Plus, the gang attempts to determine whether adorable adopted children grew up to make the world better—or much, much worse. You’ll never think of adoption the same after this bone-headed episode!

Show notes

Singer-songwriter Jessica Lee Mayfield joins Shane Torres and Katherine Blanford for one of the wildest life stories we’ve ever heard. Jessica takes us from growing up on a bus with her family’s bluegrass band, singing for tips on the streets of Nashville, barely going to school and eventually launching a music career of her own. Later, Confessions in a Bottle exposes everything from bathroom disasters to Jessica being secretly tested for demonic possession—and she closes out the episode with a live performance from her album Miss Obliteration.

Plus Bonus: gas station food, bodily functions, fake hair, terrible touring accommodations and more secrets than anyone needed to know including meeting LeBron James in their hometown of Akron, Ohio. It’s ALL packed in this episode!

Jeremiah Watkins Might Be Back From the Dead? | Coastal Idiots - Episode 064 Sep 22, 2026

Show notes

BEFORE Jeremiah Watkins discovers he's apparently been dead since 2006, he makes a triumphant return to Coastal Idiots and somehow survives his second visit where he breaks down the making of his new special Crazy Pizza, Katherine goes from the high of taping her special to bombing at a casino, and Shane recounts the beautiful misery of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for audiences that may or may not have understood him. Plus: bunking with Richard Kind, mild Michael Jackson memories, an international booty call gone horribly wrong, and a listener who REALLY wants to be a Katherine’s bad little piggy. Mark Normand - Bad Manners, Foot Fetishes & Growing Up in New Orleans | Coastal Idiots - Episode 063 Sep 15, 2026

Show notes

Comedy! Mark Normand joins the Coastal Idiots and immediately proves there's no uncomfortable social situation he hasn't developed an insane workaround for. Somehow we end up talking about OnlyFans, foot fetishes, New Orleans voodoo, bachelor parties, Sydney Sweeney and joke stealing. Mark also reveals his strategies for surviving some of life's most awkward situations like uncomfortable eye contact or the art of pretending you remember someone's name followed by Katherine and Shane hitting him with a rapid-fire round of terrible decisions. It's educational, if you're willing to dramatically lower your definition of education.

* This is a special episode of Coastal Idiots shot in New York, and some of the audio, lighting and set design we are accustom to in our home Los Angeles studio is not represented.

Show notes

Baltimore’s favorite son Ryan Sickler is in the living room! He joins the Coastal Idiots for an episode packed with unbelievable childhood stories, old-school comedy nostalgia, and the kind of life experience that makes you wonder how he made it out alive. Ryan talks about growing up in Baltimore, losing his father as a teenager, essentially raising himself alongside his twin brother, and eventually packing up his Honda Civic to chase comedy in Los Angeles—only to wake up the morning of his move and discover the Northridge earthquake had just destroyed the school he was headed to. Then things get even weirder when Ryan plays “Twin or Stolen,” featuring identical siblings, stolen identities, mistaken criminals, and some truly insane real-life coincidences.

Steph Tolev Was Asked to Be the Face of...WHAT? | Coastal Idiots - Episode 061 Sep 01, 2026

Show notes

Comedian Steph Tolev is in the studio, and Shane and Katherine quickly discover there may be no story she isn’t willing to tell. We’re talking foreskin endorsements, death threats, comedy club con artists, bedbugs and lice. Yuk. And that’s not all… the crew plays Never Have I Ever and uncovers everything from Steph faking medical emergencies as a kid to sleeping with her high school crush years later. Somehow, those aren't even the grossest stories in the episode. Strap in—this one gets gross.

Zach Zucker Brings Big Clown Chaos to Netflix | Coastal Idiots - Episode 060 Aug 25, 2026

Show notes

Zach Zucker joins Shane Torres and Katherine Blanford for an absolutely unhinged episode of Coastal Idiots! Zach talks about the decade-long journey of turning Stamp Town into a Netflix special, the anxiety of finally getting his dream opportunity, and why he believes comedy desperately needs more risk-takers.

He also breaks down the strange world of clown and Buffon, explains why Sacha Baron Cohen is a perfect example of the art form, and gets brutally honest about his complicated relationship with the modern clown scene.

Somewhere along the way, the gang discusses bisexual biceps, eating Legos, getting naked on stage, disgusting old costumes, road rage with rubber chickens, and plays a chaotic round of Two Truths and a Lie: Stage Edition featuring some of the wildest stage stories we've heard yet! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Coastal Idiots is a weekly comedy podcast where each week your host Shane and Katherine are joined by a friend or two where they do something very stupid and hilarious. NEVER Accept A Foosball Bet From Kelsey Cook | Coastal Idiots - Episode 059 Aug 18, 2026

Show notes

Comedian Kelsey Cook joins Katherine and Shane for an episode that winds down the road of sobriety and terrible old jobs to dementia, active shooters, and the surprisingly cutthroat world of professional foosball.

Kelsey reminisces about leaving Los Angeles for Minnesota, shooting her Netflix special Happy Hour that drops September 18, growing up with professional foosball players for parents, and the savage days when she’d hustle unsuspecting guys at foosball by pretending she didn’t know how to play.

Word to the wise, never assume an unsuspecting person at the foosball table won’t leave with your wallet, mortgage and your pride!

Our Producer Keida Has Lived WAY Too Many LivesOur Producer Keida Has Lived WAY Too Many Lives | Coastal Idiots - Episode 058 Aug 11, 2026

Show notes

It’s a Coastal Idiots family episode! Shane and Katherine break in the new studio by fighting about stolen parking spaces, terrible airplane behavior and whether giving up a first-class seat for your boyfriend makes you a good person or an idiot.

Then they surprise Coastal Idiots producer Keida for his birthday and discover he’s apparently lived 14 lives before producing this podcast — from ’90s San Francisco performance art & nude modeling, indie film producer to cooking for Hollywood soirées involving Patricia Arquette meeting future husband Thomas Jane, Sharon Stone, Quentin Tarantino, John C. Reilly eating out of a pot of fish stew and Daryl Hannah testing dinner out of Keida’s hands. Just a completely normal family birthday.

Bad Haircuts, Pinky Rings & Couch Injuries w/ Tommy Pope | Coastal Idiots - Episode 052 Aug 07, 2026

Show notes

What starts as an interview with comedian (and certified nut from the bowels of Philly) Tommy Pope quickly becomes an hour of complete chaos. From Kanye stories and engagement photos to conspiracy theories about dating apps and hilarious Texas expressions. Everyone debates Southern slang, ugly haircuts, pinky rings, and whether anyone should ever trust reality TV backstories — nobody stays on topic and that's exactly why it works. One of the funniest, most unhinged episodes yet.
